The biggest key players to winning the Tourtament was Goku, Vegeta, 17, and Frieza. I think Trunks could fill in the gap of 17 with his SSJ Rage form from Goku Black Saga. I say the team take it. Besides, cell and Boo should be more useful with their abilities than the humans like Roshi, Krillin, and Tien.

This basically means Universe 11 only targets Universe 7. Each universe 7 member would get stomped by Jiren unless goku could go ui much faster. That's a better team for u7 tho.

7’s team is generally stronger now, but the loss of Android 17 is a huge blow that Future Trunks has to fill.

This really comes down to Goku and Vegeta honestly.

If Vegeta can’t get his SSJBE form then GoD Toppo stomps them, just like how if Goku doesn’t get MUI then Jiren stomps them.

Their best chance without relying on their new forms is Fusion.

Frieza and Trunks should be strong enough to keep regular Toppo distracted while the rest of their team fights the fodder Pride Troops and goes through them easily enough.

Goku and Vegeta will probably go at Jiren with Kaioken Blue being their best bet just to get stomped.

Their team beat Jiren’s team handily due to their much stronger team with a far greater set of abilities (Cell’s IT, Buu’s regen) while Jiren himself messes about with them, meaning he’s in a 1 v 10 scenario.

Which basically comes down to can Goku convince Vegeta to fuse with the Potara or Dance Into Vegito or Gogeta.

If he can then their Fusion should push Jiren back to the point they can push him off with help.

Or you know, Buu gets lucky and absorbs Jiren.

@devoidruby: All of the same scenario would still play out just with Trunks being switched with 17. And none of 17’s oppenets in the Tourtament are way out of SSJ Rage Trunks league. So it would be SSJ Rage Trunks + Golden Frieza vs Toppo, and both would lose leading to Vegeta stepping in to save his son. The same scenario of Toppo vs SSJ Shiny Blue Vegeta would play out. He would still gain the form.

Also Cell has 17’s Barrier type move that would come in handy. And practically knows Krillin, Tien, and Roshi’s moves, being a Bio Android and all. Being as cunning as Frieza, and knowing the stakes, he would not kill in the Tourtament and be a good ally.

Super Boo is stronger than the Humans by far and has magical properties like Candy Beam, that could come in handy against fodder oppenets he could just turn into candy and throw them out. He isn’t a complete idiot and can be reasoned with not to kill anyone in the Tourtament.

As some others have said this depends on if Goku can reach MUI. But it seems everyone has forgotten about Dyspo. Future Trunks and Buu should be able to take Dyspo tho. Vegeta still takes Toppo. But with out the build up even Goku would be hard pressed to reach MUI he might get UI. However not being so tired might work in Goku's favor. I think we'd see Jiren actually get tired against UI Goku but Goku would get winded too. 16 might actually pull the win with a rocket arms ring out.

There’s nobody that replaces 17 in this alternate team. Trunks is nowhere near that level of skill, even if he is has power. All Trunks adds to the team is another brick, really. Everyone except for Buu adds nothing, Cell would get annihilated so easy against multiple members of the other team. Giving manga and anime feats, the Pride Troopers have massively op teamwork and most are above Base DBS Anime Goku (and the scaling on him that the series does is actually ridiculous). Pikkon and 16 quite literally add nothing here.

Universe 7 could still easily win if Goku can get ahold of UI but there’s nothing this changed team offers that would suggest any of them would be impactful against Toppo, much less Jiren.
