Gremmy seems to not job when he's up against characters he doesn't know so he could win. If Itachi lands a Genjutsu though gremmy might end up killing himself with his own reality warping. Gremmy for a slight majority.

Toss up but I'll go with Itachi for a slight majority.

Without previous knowledge? Gremmy probably wouldn't imagine that he was inside a genjutsu, Itachi could do the same that he almost did to Deidara.

And don't get me wrong, but it's undeniable that Gremmy is dumb enough to fall for that. Also, off-topic, Aizen would stomps Gremmy just with a illusion.

You really think Itachi would try genjutsu before dodging a meteor?

It's literally his first move every fight, he wouldn't have to dodge the meteor because he wouldn't be even there anymore, Gremmy would be crushing himself, like Deidara almost exploded himself, when he thought that the bomb was around Itachi. With previous knowledge Gremmy would effortlessy stomps, but without it, he wouldn't even know that he was under a genjutsu.

itachi is edo version.. he can't die from that (beside the fact that edo itachi is already dead)

Genjutsu. Itachi could just look at him and leave then, or use the silly move and cover himself with Susanoo somewhere else, if the meteor were too big, Gremmy would never know that he was inside a genjutsu, would launch a meteor to crush Itachi (that would be also inside the genjutsu) and would crush himself, while Itachi would be somewhere else killing Uchihas or something like this. Gremmy isn't the greatest mind in Bleach, he fell into dumbest things, and without previous knowledge, it would be over at the second that he looked into Itachi's eyes. There's a round two with previous knowledge, so I'm giving this one to Gremmy, I doubt that Itachi will use Izanami or Tsukuyomi as the starting move against Gremmy, even with previous knowledge that would be out of character, his main chance would be fooling Gremmy again, using a genjutsu after he freed himself from the genjutsu, Gremmy would imagine that he was already in the "real world" and he would be, but if Itachi used a clone, Gremmy would do something like launching a missile barrage against him, then Itachi could apply genjutsu again and turn the clone into a copy of Gremmy. There are many possible ways to troll him, but in general, Round 1 I would give to Itachi and round 2 to Gremmy by a slight margin.

That's assuming Gremmy even gives him that chance, he doesn't have to use a meteor. He could send Itachi to space.

Prove to me that he could survive a meteor.

They start in the field of vision of each other, that's the same logic of the meteor, Itachi can make he think that he sent himself to space. There are many possible outcomes, of course in some of them Gremmy would just instakill him in some way, but after the genjutsu starts, everything that Gremmy (Without previous knowledge) imagined could be turned against himself. Telepaths, Genjutsu users and Illusionists are really effective against him. And just saying that as @ssj_god said, the meteor or anything that he used against Zaraki wouldn't kill or stop Edo Tensei Itachi, we don't even know if he can just instantly teleports someone, his powers clearly had limitations, he can't directly kill someone and must imagine things that indirectly kill the target, if it was that easy, he would just blink and imagine Zaraki in mars.

@drones Edo Tenseis can't be physically killed in any way, they were completely destroyed but almost instantly they reforms themselves, you must seal their souls to stop them. Madara used that and literally launched a meteor that destroyed himself and regenerated after that, Itachi was torn apart and returned without damage, during the war that ability of the Edo Tenseis was greatly exploited by Kabuto and even Obito with his six-paths.

@ssj_god Aizen could pretty much use the same technique that Itachi will be using in this fight, and that wouldn't be out of character. He is one of the guys with the right power to troll Gremmy.

A meteor that hits him directly will disintegrate him. You can't reform when your matter is evaporated, prove otherwise.

You're also assuming that Itachi knows what space looks like to make him think that as well. This can't be proven. Also just because he sees space how do you know he will think he's there? He could be a bit smarter than that.

I'm not proving that, figure out what a country sized meteor does. There are meteors the size of France what makes you think if they dropped on a country they would destroy that country in its entirety but leave body parts of people that were directly hit by it? It's common sense.

He just imagines the same Meteor he used against Kenpachi. People are acting like Itachi even has the DC to take care of the Meteor.

Madara was hit by his own meteor and survived. Edo Tenseis can reform themselves even after atomic destruction, Kabuto explained that doesn't matter how damaged the corpse is, even after complete destruction, it will regenerate, this was proven when Oonoki tried his Jinton against Madara. Madara regenerated even with his atoms being completely destroyed. Many others Edo Tenseis survived insane amounts of damage, lost parts of their bodies and even were completely destroyed, like Deidara for example, and still returned without any sign of damage. About BFR to space there are a few things that must be said, like the fact that this is, or extremely out of character, or impossible for him to do that directly. He couldn't send Zaraki to space, he created Vacuum there and tried to kill him, he clearly said that he was doing his best to kill him, if it was that easy, he would just send him to mars and end the problem, and the shield above the place surely wasn't the problem, because himself exploded that thing with his meteor without effort, but even if he somehow could do that, which I doubt, would be inside of the genjutsu, so if he just sent Itachi attached to the rocket into the space or just teleported him to there (again, he never showed that ability, himself said that he must create the means to physically defeats his opponent, still he would need to create something to get rid of Itachi), it wouldn't be the true one, and Itachi could literally turn everything that Gremmy would think that he was sending against Itachi into a weapon against himself, and the worst part is that Gremmy wouldn't even know that he killed himself until it was already done.
