Dormammu used to be Classic Strange's prime enemy. Half the time he lost because he has to keep promises not to directly attack Strange, making all his plans convoluted and strange. But now he gets punked on his own turf by someone who just gained the power and is drawing upon the power of weaker deities? *shakes head* "

The Loa are skyfather level group of gods just like the Norse, Egyptian, Olympian, Japanese and other mythical gods. All of these gods except for Mikaboshi were descendants of the Elder Gods. So they are weaker than the Elders. The Vishianti are Principality level group of extra-dimensional abstracts above Elder gods. Oshter may have once been a daughter of the Elder Gods, but when she was taken as a part of the Vishianti, her omnipotence became multiversal.

Well sometimes, Dormammu invokes on entities much more powerful than he. Cyttorak for instance. Oh and if you're talking about Dr. Strange on the last sentence than what dieties to you speak who are weaker than Principalities like Dormammu? "

I know nothing of Trigon except that-- it very much seems like the creator was reading Doctor Strange when he thought of him.

But anyways Dormammu has held his own with Agamotto who is literally the Mystical power of light (Agamotto's appearance alone draws back the extra dimensional demonic entity Nightmare) aswell Dormy has defeated the Phoenix Force. And don't forget being made out of pure mystical energy Dormammu can't die, as long as there is someone in some dimension who would worship him.

I think Trigon could win this actually.

I thought Obama summon Cyttorak to win his election both times. So I thought Dormammu could do the same to beat Trigon.
