Tournament Rd 1 Challenge Thread - Batman3000 vs Emperorthanos CLOSED

This is round 1 of the live-action superhero street level tournament, and this is the CHALLENGE matchup for round 1.

Combatants:

• Blood-lusted
• Additional weapon: combat knife
• Thermal Vision Goggles

@emperorthanos

• Snake Eyes (movies)
• Ajax (Deadpool movie)

The Challenge:

Individually, these two participants will make their case for why their team will survive this challenge. The challenge they are facing is to defeat:

Rules and Formatting:

• Each participant will make one post describing why/how their team will defeat Blue in combat and therefore survive this challenge
• NOTE: each participant will be making their argument independent of the other participant. So this matchup is Batman3000's team vs Blue, and Emperorthanos's team vs Blue, in separate matchups (so this is NOT a which team survives longest or wins the easiest thread. Each team is individually facing off against Blue).
• After reading each participant's arguments, voters will decide whether or not they are convinced that the team(s) will defeat Blue. Both teams can be voted as winners, one or the other could be voted, or neither could be voted. The winners move on the team matchup round.
• If only one team is voted to successfully survive the challenge, they automatically move on to the 2nd round, as their round 1 team vs team matchup will have already been eliminated from the tournament.
• All characters are equipped with their standard gear and weaponry, unless stated otherwise via perk
• All characters are in-character, but are fighting to the best of their abilities while in-character (no jobbing)
• Assume relatively perfect chemistry between teammates
• The fight is to the death
• This is a random encounter, unless a participant has purchased a perk that states otherwise
• Hit-points will only come into play during the team vs team matchup rounds

Why Luke Beats Blue

Yeah Blue should be lightwork for Luke. Not only can Blue not hurt Luke at all

Now onto strength:

Dang. Just realized part of my post got eaten. Well here's the other part. Not much.

Luke's Bloodlust, Gear (Combat Knife) and Conclusion

A bloodlusted Luke Cage is a scary thing to think about. Never once in the show did he show the full extent of power he had while in rage mode. Not even in the final fight against Diamondback. With simple taps to the head and casual 15-20 meter punches/throws (On cops who he didn't even want to hurt after being shot with the Judas bullet!) I think it's more than enough to say Luke can simply beat down on Blue, break his neck, or simply use the knife on him. We haven't seen much on Blue's durability but claws (From I-Rex) cut him and I don't think it's unfair to say Luke has the strength to put the knife in Blue's eyes, around his mouth, head or simply anywhere on his body. A few stabs will do. See Luke has lots of options here but Blue doesn't and this is certainly a fight he will lose.

How my team kills blue

well there are several ways my team can kill him.

One his just shooting him, as far I know, raptor's can't tank several bullets. Snake eyes has one machine gun in this fight like he did during Retaliation, and he is a pretty good marksman.

Or they can cut him up. Snake Eyes with his swords and Ajax using his axes .

Snake Eyes can pierce through metal with his sword despite bullets being unable to pierce the same metal.

While Ajax can also cut through metal with axe

And both of them are fast and Agile enough to tag blue with their attacks

Snake Eyes is fast enough to jump over a car coming towards him.

Ajax can easily match Deadpool in combat

My vote goes to both!

Batman because he pointed out Luke super strength and knife would easily take down and kill blue. Although he did not point out Luke;s durabiltiy (which is obvious), he didn't even need to.

Epmerorthans relied on tag and kill strategy. While he should have shown some durability feats for his team members because that's not so obvious like Luke, his strategy is still pretty OK.

Batman3000 made a simple and convincing argument that Blue could not hurt Cage with its teeth or claws. He also convinced me that Luke has the strength/power to kill Blue with his bare hands (especially blood lusted). I think the hardest thing for Cage would be getting a good enough grip on Blue to break its neck ect. With the knife Luke would only need to be in close enough proximity to strike Blue due to his (Luke's) power.

Batman3000 team/Luke survives.

@nfactor1995 Showed through feats that his team has the skill's, speed and weapons to kill Blue, Especially working as a team. Due to Blue not having other Velociraptor to do the usual draw attention and ambush their pray, He/She?, would likely be cut down by gun fire (especially the machine gun) before sword or axe need come into play.
