@brucerogers: Toph for all of her raw power hasn't done well against named opponents more agile than her. The speed of her projectiles isn't anything he can't handle, and he can circumvent her seismic sense by leaping in the air and throwing his baton.
@brucerogers: Yea, as far as durability goes she's not even peak human.
I'm not too sure about that(also depending on if you mean comic or real peak human, cause she is 100% real peak human lvl), but she is certainly pretty unimpressive in comparison to some other benders.
@marishtar: I'm referring to Matt and people he regularly goes up against. Toph doesn't have any notable durability feats, I recall her only tanking one attack from Aang and it was just an air push that he of course didn't intend to hurt her with.
@cpt_nice: Matt has thrown his bills club with enough force to lodge it in concrete and his ability to detect weak spots has enabled him to shatter and hurt someone made up of literal diamond. I think he can manage stone or metal
If Toph opts for defense first, which isn't exactly an in character tactic, there's literally nothing Matt could do. Beyond that, he should be able to maneuver though her offensive bending and get a never strike in.

@brucerogers: toph is able to sense Rock/metal and control it. If his baton is made of metal then no matter what he was she will know where he is and be able to take him out.

Pretty much this. DD's fighting style is pretty similar to Ty Lee's who gives benders trouble all the time, and he's just as if not more agile than her. Toph is more than capable of stomping but in-character she's vulnerable to a character like DD.
@brucerogers: I feel if the OP shows a version of a character, you debate for the version shown. You do not get to presume composite just because it suits your feats.
But admittedly, it is a very poorly written (as in, nothing at all) OP.
@cpt_nice: I'm 99% sure this is meant to be a composite or mainstream version of DD, it's just that you can't turn comic pages into video clips for a clip comparison.

Well like i said she is pretty unimpressive and certainly not in the mentioned leauge(but should be at least real peak human lvl if not a bit higher), but at least the metal armor and big earth shields should be helpful.
Regardless that i also say Matt(comic version) wins.
