He doesn't, he would just embody an ideal man, someone stronger and standing above others, symbolising hope and what not, but he is still prone to death, destiny, dream etc. This isn't necessarily connected to the fight itself, but by common logic, the concepts of various aspects of existence and creation >>> concept of an ideal man.

Cosmic armor superman is a superman archetype meant to Represent the writen plot by the writer, he scales well beyond most of DC, but only by statements, by feats he is fodder, and even the endless have better feats and statements then CAS, The endless are the very concepts that co exist with sentient beings throughout the omniverse (all of fiction), kill death of the endless and no one has the capability to die, they are permanently in comics, It was cas's DESTINY to beat Mandrakk, for example.

Grant retconned Destiny up there and put Nabu's true form, Fate, there instead in The Multiversity. You might need a new prescription yourself.

You can't change the minds of individuals who hold dear to favoritism to this degree. No level of factual data matters. They will never accept the Monitors as being that strong. Even when the author replaced Destiny with his favorite character Fate (Nabu's true form) and insists in interviews Endless are avatars of a larger entity and concepts. From a psychological point of view, debating facts with users who cannot accept them has been wildly fascinating.

The Endless are metaphysical concepts which cannot be destroyed unless you destroy all of creation. Also it is shown in Morrison's Multiversity Map that Destiny is on top in the Overvoid. Holding the DC multiverse in his book. So even Morrison himself seems to agree.

I actually don't know why we should really care what Grant thinks. His hierarchy is outdated and changed. Snyder has different thoughts regarding DC Multiverse. Yes, he uses Grant's map as a reference but the hierarchy has changed. Morrison is not the God of DC whose statements that was taken before two reboots have any weight in the current DC Hierarchy.

@johnsmjs36: Grant helped write Vertigo and also Snyder's Dark Knight Metal series. Your argument is the same as saying there is no such thing as Pre-Crisis Silver Age Superman. That because other authors changed Superman later, that doesn't matter? All battle threads should be original Superman in his first comic book he appeared in? That isn't how debating works. We are selective about which era Doomsday we are discussing, which version of Hulk, which canon series of Spiderman etc etc.

Saying no to all that and just picking the first appearance of them in new canon reboots isn't what battle threads should be limited to.

@michaeljulius: Grant helped write like one issue of metals and that was more on using his cosmology. And him helping in writing vertigo means nothing. Apart from a few issues of Swamp Thing he has wrote comics that are not part of DC unless ofcourse you think all of Vertigo is part of DC. CaS appeared in two issues. He is not even Superman to begin with. How can you even compare it to different versions of Hulk or Doomsday. I haven't picked CaS first appearance I have picked its only appearance.

The Author confirms The Endless are just Avatars of higher concepts. The Cosmic Map lists The Endless by name inferior to Monitors. Fate replaced Destiny on the Map because it was a mistake that Grant corrected in 2014's Multiversity. Element X unwrites Dream of the Endless and Dream also confirms Monitors made the Sphere of Gods.
