lol None of us think that Wolverine would win in any type of fight. I agree with you that Thor probably wouldn't use his hammer, though he might be tempted to when Wolverine pops the claws. But no matter what Thor would win the fight, and fairly easily at that.

Toolverine was schooled by Namor and Namor is not strong enough to finally stop Thor.
And the ranking system here is more about popularity cause there is no way that batman could win a fight against Captain Britain.

Thor, hands down. And as a fan of both of them I will tell you why.
1- Thor is stronger
2- Thor is faster
3- Thor is the God of Lightning and Wolverine has metal bones. <-This point could stand alone and win.
4- I wish to re state number 3 to add emphisis to how big that point is.
5- Wolverines healing abilities stop when His heart and Brain are so fried a dog wouldnt eat them. Lighting to metal bones would do that.

Wolverine seriously doesn’t stand a chance… If he can even reach Thor when Thor is flying (which I doubt) the chances of him inflicting any serious injury is nil. Thor’s clone almost kicked the $h!t out of Storm in the civil war and we all know that they have similar powers. I honestly think that if Storm couldn’t beat the fake Thor, Wolverine can’t beat the real Thor. Also the fact that metal conducts electricity is his own downfall because all Thor has to do is fry wolverines brain, blood and all into a crisp and wolverine wont be regenerating from that.

I'm a huge fan of Wolverine but I just don't see him taking down Thor. It's not just that he is a God (well mostly :-) ) but Thor is amongst the most powerful of Asgardians. While he may not flat-out be able to kill Wolverine, Thor would beat the hell out of Wolverine ( even without using his elemental powers).
