Thor goes into Warrior Madness and gets recruited into the Red Lanterns and then they team up on Sinestro.

Thor. Why can't he drain or BFR the rings energy like he absorbed Electro and spit him out into space ? Sinestros versatility and experience could pose a SERIOUS problem for Thor but Thor maybe able to get around or and he definitely STOMPS Atrocitus.

Atrocitus alone is stated Supermn level adding Sinestro gives them the win.

How? How they can really take him out? Thor's lightnings KOd Surfer, Hulk and were powerfull enough to hurt Atum in heart of star's core (ergo they are more deadliest than it pressure and heat). Mjolnir will break trough Sinestro's constructs, Thor can absorb anything that they will throw at him and I doubt that they have durability feats that will allow them to take what Thor can bring to the table.

@czarny_samael666: Atrocitus has taken on Hal Jordan, and Sinestro at the same time and beat them with ease. He also battled Martian Manhunter and Apollo to a stand still. Considering Hal was able to beat Krona and Sinestro Mongul Jr. with six rings it's rather impressive he beats them at the same time. Also Atrocitus alone has been stated to be as or more powerful than Black Adam, and Black Adam would give Thor enough trouble of his own.....ad Sinestro in and they have the win. II think Atrocitus has battled more elite Lanterns at the same time before too I just can't remember when.

If this was one-on-one, I think Thor could beat Sinestro, but I doubt he could beat both of them at the same time.

Somehow I belive that You're talking about Post-52 universe.

Hal, Sinestro and Atrocitus depends on energy projection, which wouldn't be that effective agianst someone who can absorb and drain unlimited amount of energy.

Being more powerfull doesn't mean that he is stronger. And IDK how it is with current BA, but Pre-52 didn't have feats on the same level with Thor.

Atrocitus alone would be a pretty good fight. With Sinestro this fight just tilts enough in Team's favor to garner a win.

Ok, but most important point in this battle is that Mjolnir is best possible weapon against Lanterns. Until Atrocitus has feats of strength and durability in Thor's level, he can't really beat Thor.

Why? Or should I ask: How? Which of their power will be deadly to Thor, who can absorb their attacks and put them down by lightnings that already putted down Surfer and Hulk?

@ultrasupertrooper: Let's see Atrocitus is very powerful and has taken on many elite characters at the same time, and has tortured and killed Guardians without a ring. Sinestro took down Mongul Jr. when he had six rings! Mongul Sr. (close to strength with Mongul Jr.), who was stated to be physically stronger than Superman, was fighting Superman and Wonder Woman at the same time physically. Mongul Jr, also strong had six yellows rings to Sinestro's one....and Sinestro beat him pretty easily.

Well, atrocitus has slapped apollo around, while hitting MM; and proved quite a good durability.

Thor does not have the combat speed feats to speed blitz any of them, and his energy absorption won't be very usefull against atrocitus, he doesn't seem to use his energy projection that much.

I'd give it to the lanterns, 6/10.

Electro was able to find a way to counter this problem with help by AIM, and I'm certain the sophistication level of the power rings would allow for similar adjustments. So then in a straight fight, these two power houses should have what it takes to at least take a slight majority, 6/10.

There was no proof that would say that Thor loses.

1.He wins, because his magic thunders are levels above normal thunders and they were able to KO Surfer, Hulk and Alter-Ego.

2.Thor can absorb everyting that they will bring at him.

3.Are current Apollo and Martian that strong? I would need proves. Pre-52 feats doesn't count of course.

4.It doesn't matter if people belive that Atrocitus can beat Adam and Superman.

5.Comparing Mongul to Thor is useless.

No, Electro transformed himself into anti-matter energy, as normal energy he was easily absorbed by Thor.

Thor in the past abosrbed nuclear energy, termal-energy, cosmic energy, magic energy, Nega-Bomb energy, Grandmaster's bomb energy, Vector's energy, Kang's machine energy and few other types too.

I guess that would be the issue/sticking point. If we assume he can absorb emotional energy then he could theoretically wipe entire Corps' worth of Lanterns, including Larfreeze and excluding Guardians.

Has Thor ever absorb solid constructs?

I wonder about the energy absorption. How does Thor's work? Does he insta-zap it or does he drain by swinging his hammer.

And does he absorb physical constructs at that. Atrocitous does not use energy blasts but spits acidic plasma which is liquid. Sinestro will throw "a" energy Blast, but would stop after the first one gets absorbed and try solid constructs at least once.

I thought Lantern rings can be drained. but it is not instant, the real question is can Thor stand there drain their rings while they are actually attacking him? Atrocitous would be in his face trying H2H, and he also uses magic, but has not used it in combat since he got his ring.
