Thor didn't hurt himself, he just bleed then healed, like SS.

Only difference is SS doesn't bleed, he get warps.

Hulk has defeated Thor, but people don't care. Debates here have almost nothing to do with comics anymore, just random power-sets. Disregard the feats you don't like and spam the ones you do.

@green_skaar: And Thor has defeated Hulk, both of which are debatable. Comic fights are still valid in debates and can be used to determine a winner unless its PIS which can be disregarded. However, Thor defeating Surfer is not PIS in the slightest but shows superiority. There's no reason why it cant be held accountable.

IMO (and this is just my opinion) this is Charizard versus Blastoise versus Venusaur.

They're all really powerful in their own way, but they match up differently against each other.

Thor will brawl with Hulk, which is Hulk's forte.

Surfer isn't a warrior like Thor is.

Hulk is physically strong but lacks versatility which Surfer has in spades.

It could go to any of them, but I'd pick Thor if I had to.

He also forgot to mention, that in the 90s fight, Thor was morals off while Surfer wasn't. Funny how he left that part out.

As for the recent fight under Fraction, I try to forget that fight and arc because it was just painful to read as a fan of both characters. *shudders*

Every encounter I have seen between Thor and SS the surfer seems to forget he has speed.

@erkan12: Its actually a tie between Thor and Hulk by my count.

The speed of the hammer comes from how fast Thor can throw it and it can move fast on its own when it returns to Thor. Its not all about the hammer.

@stupid_people: The hammer goes as fast as its thrown or Thor commands it, which is the same reason people like Storm can dodge it. But when up against guys like Gladiator, Sentry, Surfer etc. The hammer has no problem tagging and doing damage. And I seriously don't think you want to start low balling Thor, as Surfer possesses much more 'PIS' instances.

Wolverine08: Are the scans that he's presented in context bc I can't tell seeing as how he only posted the the "convenient parts" where Surfer is getting hit. Also, SS doesn't even look like he's even visibly injured in their most recent battle so does that even count as a win for Thor?

@experio: Yes it does tag. But show me once where it hit a serious Surfer level character while using his speed effectively. Every fight they have ever had, even when serious, was MUCH slower than he has shown himself to be.

You only posted the parts where Surfer is getting hit or getting up from getting knocked down. You didn't post all of the scans for those fights which usually provide context as well. Without context, how can I trust your stance?

That is quite the statement, can you actually try to prove other than showing Silver Surfer's surfboard sending Thor hurling?
