Scenario:
Loki successfully tricks Thor by showing him false visions in his sleep of a future where Superman and the league take over the world as the "justice lords". Enraged by this he seeks to take down Superman before he gets the chance to take over the world. Superman for his part comes to see the Avengers as dangerous and reckless due all of the threats they bring to earth such as the Skrulls, Masters of evil, Kree and Kang. Thus he decides to try and reign them in.
