@jeanroygrant: Because i'd say WW is stronger, MUCH faster, a better fighter, and comparably equipped with Lasso + Magic Bracers + Magic Tiara
Thor only has durability (over New 52 WW anyway) and Mjolnir. Thor is one of the brickiest bricks, and when he goes toe to toe with the likes of Silver Surfer, id call that PIS.
@Clark_EL: Most Thanos and Galactus fans ive talked to say Thor has never legitimately beaten them? Any Thanos/ Galactus experts want to chime in on that?

@deaditegonzo: Yeah, how tough is Darkseid's Elite. Not a DC guy, so Kalibak is the only one I have a power scale in mind for. Wiki has 15 of them so there is a posse.
Of course, Asgard also have some elite besides the ones mentioned in the specifications (Loki/Enchantress/Baldur/Brunhilde/Frigga/Freya/Heimdall/Destroyer Armor/Karnilla/Roughhouse) and then some lesser elite (Sif/Tyr/Warriors 3/other Valkyrie).
- Mantis was killed Pre52, and I dont know if he's back, but if he is, he is extremely powerful. He absorbs energy, and was capable of even totally owning Guy Gardner and absorbing his GL Power. He fought toe to toe against Infinity Man who was a peer of Supes Pre-Crisis, a superior to Supes post crisis, and the status of which I do not know currently. He's worth specifically looking up, as he could likely be a problem for any one of the Heroes even.
- Kalibak is worth mentioning, as he has gone as far as to be a challenge for Supes, but also been a Supes' chump as well.
- Steppenwolf is Darkseid's uncle, and he actually has a New 52 showing, as he is the one who invaded Earth-2.
The rest of them wouldnt likely be a challenge for a herald level character.
There are also Darkseid's Furies.
I say Thanos and Darkseid win.
