The "What If" Pokemon Tournament

What would happen if Pokemon were trained by characters from other universes? What if they were taught skills and techniques of other characters? Who would come out on top? Lets find out!

Rules:

• Battles end in the knocking out of the enemy's Pokemon character. Death and BFR do not count as a win.
• No mind control or mental manipulation. Small illusions are allowed.
• Each Pokemon will be taught various techniques and moves of the Teacher/Mentor.
• Pokemon may retain feats from their Anime/Manga counterparts.
• "Verse" equality is on; energies will be treated as equal for each character.(Eg: Chaka=Ki=Spiritual Energy=Energy)

• Hogwarts; Full Course. Only can gain spells that are legitimately taught there.
• Camp Halfblood; You are assumed the Son/Daughter(Greek Gods are pretty weird, don't ask) of a certain God(You may choose). You may gain the basic benefits of that God's children, but you may not choose Hades.

Base-Characters:

A Pokemon. You may choose any Pokemon(Withtheexceptionof LegendariesandMegas) to be the base for your character. Game stats will be the basis for who is superior in what category, not including various things gained from the mentor. Your Pokemon's nature will influence your stats as well. **Note** No Pokedex entries can be used as feats. Also keep in mind that the location and it's weather will play an effect in the matches, as it does in-game. You will also have to state what ability your Pokemon has(You can only choose ones they actually get in-game) if you are planning to use them.

Yes, they're their teachers, not trainers. The Pokemon will act of their own accord, not being given orders during a battle.

Also in terms of mentors i got some recommendations.

• Evangeline A.K McDowell(Negima) If you allow her she will be the mentor for pikachu instead of Rayleigh.
• Kami/Mr.Popo(DB/DBZ)
• Dragonslayers(Fairy Tail, but it can only be dragon slayers that showed up so far and said dragon slayers have to be compatible with certain types.)
• Hiko Seijūrō XIII(Rorouni Kenshin)

@deathhero61 Hogwarts/Camp Halfblood count as the teacher/mentor, hence why they are on the same section. I have no idea who Evangeline is lol

@the_legendary_supersaiyan_hulk: Ohhhhh. And evangeline is the vampire badass from negima the super loli vampire who trained negi in magia erebea and what not. Do i have to show a bunch of scans or something? -.- if i know who she is i can explain what pikachu can learn from her anyway,i don't see the problem. don't worry she isn't OP or anything, in fact what Eva has to teach is on par with the other mentors/teachers here. Especially King Kai and Genkai so don't worry about it.

Even if you try to consider it a "mythical" pokemon, its counterpart is considered legendary, and it has the same stat count (sans mega evolution, no pokemon has the same stat count except Hydreigon)

Btw:

Special attack will determine how well your character does in the aspect of energy manipulation/projection while regular attack will effect the physical aspect of your character.

Special defense will also count to how resistant you are to energy attacks as well.

@lukehero Lol, I see what you're trying to do, but there are big flaws in that considering the stat formation of a Ditto and the way and Escape Rope functions. But I won't stop you from trying :)

@the_legendary_supersaiyan_hulk: I know about his plot weakness, but the Dark Lord will weed that out. We are going by only game play or is manga & TV feats in as well?

@lukehero: the pokemon you choose can retain any of its manga and anime feats, thats why i went mainstream and chose Pikachu.

@lukehero We'll be taking in-game stats(current Gen) for a base of who is good/better at what and manga/anime feats will be taken as well.

@ssj_god Lol, you can use multiple of the same pokemon, I do not however want to see multiple of the same set-ups. Btw, there are over 700 different pokemon for you to choose from, is dragonite really the only one you want? lol

@the_legendary_supersaiyan_hulk: Ok, then I'll use light metal. How does the mentor thing work exactly, does my pokemon get the skills of my mentor or is my mentor my trainer or does my trainer learn from the mentor. How do I absorb these skills

u see.. i'm basically a fan of pokemons .. i know every pokemon (well atleast unto gen 5) there is .. i can easily use any pokemon... but as i mentioned .. those two are really close to my heart :D

@jacthripper Your pokemon is being taught techniques directly from your chosen mentor.

Special attack will decide how well you do with energy projection/manipulation skills while regular attack will decide your physical prowess.

Special defense will also determine how resistant you are to energy-based damage.
