Assuming the comic book character survives WW3, who is toast in the aftermath of war
CARL SAGAN ONCE WROTE OF THE THEORY OF NUCLEAR WINTER

Our baseline case, as in many other studies, was a 5000-megaton war with only a modest fraction of the yield (20 percent) expended on urban or industrial targets. Our job, for each case, was to follow the dust and smoke generated, see how much sunlight was absorbed and by how much the temperatures changed, figure out how the particles spread in longitude and latitude, and calculate how long before it all fell out in the air back onto the surface. Since the radioactivity would be attached to these same fine particles, our calculations also revealed the extent and timing of the subsequent radioactive fallout. Some of what I am about to describe is horrifying. I know, because it horrifies me. There is a tendency -- psychiatrists call it "denial" -- to put it out of our minds, not to think about it. But if we are to deal intelligently, wisely, with the nuclear arms race, then we must steel ourselves to contemplate the horrors of nuclear war.
The results of our calculations astonished us. In the baseline case, the amount of sunlight at the ground was reduced to a few percent of normal-much darker, in daylight, than in a heavy overcast and too dark for plants to make a living from photosynthesis. At least in the Northern Hemisphere, where the great preponderance of strategic targets lies, an unbroken and deadly gloom would persist for weeks.
Even more unexpected were the temperatures calculated. In the baseline case, land temperatures, except for narrow strips of coastline, dropped to minus 250 Celsius (minus 13 degrees Fahrenheit) and stayed below freezing for months -- even for a summer war. (Because the atmospheric structure becomes much more stable as the upper atmosphere is heated and the low air is cooled, we may have severely underestimated how long the cold and the dark would last.) The oceans, a significant heat reservoir, would not freeze, however, and a major ice age would probably not be triggered. But because the temperatures would drop so catastrophically, virtually all crops and farm animals, at least in the Northern Hemisphere, would be destroyed

So which comic character is history during the nuclear winter?
1 Joker
Forget your iodine tabs, your gas mask?
This time the Joke is on you! Bruce Wayne bunkered up in his Batcave finally gets the last laugh...yeah that's right Jack Napier your worst nightmare has happened. The major cities are dust, the Apocalypse has come and to rub salt into the wounds Bruce is also humping Harlequin
LOL
2Nicky Fury...is a man backed up by a strong poilce serivce and a powerful US NATO style military...with the armed forces of the world bombed or crippled...I'm guessing Nick doesn't have much of a career ahead of him
3Hulk....too much funky American & Soviet radiation from 10,000 H-bombs and something weird happens Hulk he just becomes Bruce and dies from collecting too many rads over the years
4Leader
the feared villain from Hulk has finally met his match, rads from 10,000 nukes cause Leaders head to grow bigger and bigger until it finally explodes....popping like a big balloon
5Sentry ....after Bob got the serum he soaks up energy like a battery, try lsoaking up all that energy when thick smoke covers the earth and the planet is totally covered is dust
6Superman
(no Sun, no super powers now he's just a sick little Kal-El)
perhaps with all those bombs going off there's also going to be a lot of radioactive decay products lying around
and chemicals across the world getting irradiated by alpha particles perhaps a little bit more artificial Kryptonite embedded in the soils of the world
What are the odds Kal-El without his powers is not going to make it through the winter
7Cyclops
(rumor has it Cyclops gets his energy from the Sun like Superman...others say he sucks all that power up from a parallel dimension...I'm guessing wherever Cyclops gets that power from a nasty Nuclear Winter will put throw a monkey wrench in his works)
8Firestar aka Angel Jones
I'm guessing she can't put up with long winters
9Martian Manhunter (if not destroyed in a flash of atomic fire, the looting and burning in the aftermath of WW3 has MM running away from Earth with like frightened puppy with his tail between his legs)
10Human Torch
See number 8 "Firestar"
