At the Precipice

No Caption Provided

The group climbs up the clouds, lifted by Eric's Noble Phantasm. Canute looks down below for a moment, at the mixture of hope and devastation left in the last fight's wake. But ever looking forward, he turns his head up at their destination. His face tenses for a moment.

They say conquering England is impossible. This man could tell you the task ahead is much, much harder.

"Eric, drop master and I off at the pool. The rest of you, go with Robin to the other two."

Eric gently deposits Canute and Ellgatia on the pool, facing Orpheus and Ba'al. He regards Ba'al for a moment, but speaks to Orpheus first.

"You've picked some interesting fellows, Avenger. Has he promised you the grail, or have you simply decided you agree with him?"

Poolside:

"I must say, I thought you'd be a little more cautious than this. A frontal assault with only two servants is... bold, unless this is a cover for a different plan?" I study Canute's facial expression for a moment before shrugging.

"As for your own questions, you could call those reasons A and B, I suppose. Though, you're forgetting about C, D, and E. Ahh, shall I give you one for free? Who, my dear Rider, do you think negotiated for my release from that prison instead of fleeing as soon as they were able? Right after promising your aid as soon as the dragon was felled, at that, I can't say I was filled with brotherly affection witnessing such an act."

“I contacted you shortly afterward. You know I left that scene for pragmatic reasons, don’t pretend you’d throw your lot in with him for something as small as -“

He stops, takes a deep breath, and calms himself.

“…nevermind. It’s easy to understand why you’d join him. After what you went through in Hades, I can only imagine what you felt about the gods. Maybe you're among kin now. I don't plan to criticize you for it.”

“Just answer me this. Did you join him to realize your hope, or satiate your hate?”

"It seems you don't understand me at all, Rider." I open my arms out, as if to reveal a grand truth. "I have no hate in my heart. I love this world, and I love humanity. Everything I do, every choice I make, is driven by one truth: I simply love her more. We all seek our desires, do we not? Millions of lives have been sacrificed for the desires of wealth, power, might, and the figures that took them are seen as heroes, you know? I'm sure you know of men like that very well. In the face of a world like that, sacrificing a few dozen, hundreds, thousands, millions for the sake of happiness is a much more noble pursuit."

Thump.

"Ngh."

I take a step back, holding my head at a sudden jolt of pain. "Shut up, shut up, shut up. I'm not wrong. I can't be wrong. You want to walk this path just as much as I do, that's why you let me be here. You're not innocent, you filthy failure of a man, don't attempt to absolve yourself of this." The pain subsided, and my hand left my head and returned to my side.

I cleared my throat, speaking as if nothing had happened. "Are you really here to overthrow this place? Where's the powerhouse servant? I don't see them. Is it Theseus, or did you get help from the church, perhaps? Don't tell me you were delusional enough to think you could win with just the two of you?"

Canute tilts his head in curiosity at Orpheus' outburst.

"I wouldn't have been wary with you if I thought all you wanted was to revive your love. It was your class that always worried me, but...are you sure you're a properly functioning Avenger? It sounds like there's another voice in the back of your skull. You should listen to them."

"Your logic defeats itself if you give it the slightest pull. Can you imagine the weight of knowing the world was destroyed for your sake? The cost of that overbearing affection? No one worth loving could look at you after that."

"Are you really here to overthrow this place? Where's the powerhouse servant? I don't see them. Is it Theseus, or did you get help from the church, perhaps? Don't tell me you were delusional enough to think you could win with just the two of you?"

Canute's lips slowly form a light grin.

"Theseus? The church? Help? Oh, you think I'm so cunning! But I'm stupid!" He laughs

The grin expands into a great smile.

"There is no help!"

"There is no great cavalry waiting to come!"

"The odds are long, so long you can't see the end no matter how far you look!"

Gilles in an undisclosed location, communicated with his creations to arrive at the poolside, while escorting his avatar which looked strangely similar to Gilles himself but was merely a puppet, but Gilles can speak through it. Gilles like usual when he introduces himself wanted to be flashy, so the robots, who look ominously close to real humans(wouldn't be able to tell at first glance) came towards the pool side and stood side by side leaving a walkway and a red carpet for their "boss" to walk across, only, nobody was walking on the curtain. Then a bunch of robotic bats, and crows harmlessly fly into the area across that path, blinding everyone and distracting them long enough for Gilles to suddenly appear when they clear out into the air.

Gilles claps his hands together and greets everyone present "Hello! Rider and his master. Its good to finally meet you! Sorry to interrupt your little chat, but what do we owe the pleasure of your presence?"

"..."

Batting away bats from his face, Canute looked baffled at scene before him. He hadn't met Assassin except as an invisible assailant. And it rather did not match his impressions of Gilles de Rais.

"Assassin, Gilles de Rais, it's..."

"Well, I suppose I'm glad I didn't die without knowing what you looked like, anyway."

"You know why we're here, I think. I don't agree with Moriarty, so I've come to stop him. I knew you'd contracted him, but by the sounds of it you've also thrown in your lot with him willingly."

"But your choice is yours. I won't criticize you either."

"Knowing what I look like wouldn't change what a knife in your breast would do to you." Gilles chuckled.

"I'd gladly give you the death you so desire, right now if you'd like, but I'm curious, why do you oppose the Professor? What drives you to fight? Is it your men? Maybe your master? A loved one? Regrets in the past?"

"Knowing what I look like wouldn't change what a knife in your breast would do to you." Gilles chuckled.

"Teh. I suppose not"

"I'd gladly give you the death you so desire, right now if you'd like, but I'm curious, why do you oppose the Professor? What drives you to fight? Is it your men? Maybe your master? A loved one? Regrets in the past?"

"I came here with a wish to change the past. My kingdom faded like dust after I died, I wanted it to last longer."

"But a wish like that is stacking deaths and curses, for something not one of my subjects in my time would have cared about."

"Moriarty's wish is the same. Don't let his speeches fool you, he is a selfish man who would impose his desires while claiming the banner of a better world. However many people he spares, it won't match the cost of painting over the world. He says he fights for the defeated. But I don't think they'll care for him as much as he says. Without that, there's no cause, just imposing your own desires."

"James Moriarty is a hard man to be neutral towards. If you agree with him, you'll stand with him. If you don't, you can't very well ignore him. I would've answered him if he were the one to summon me. Now, I do not agree with him."

"I won't say I don't understand why some would see value in his goals. But as you've chosen your stance, I've chosen mine. Unless you're neutral, but surely you wouldn't have lasted this long like that."

Playtime is Over

No Caption Provided

As Will eavesdrops on the conversation by the pool, Robin has calmly taken in his surroundings. Rider said he wanted to talk, fine. But the time for conversation has long since passed. So, he figures, Canute has said enough.

"There is no help!"

"There is no great cavalry waiting to come!"

"The odds are long, so long you can't see the end no matter how far you look!"

"But if the odds are one in a thousand, I'll take them on!"

"Do what you will, but don't make your decision expecting a ray of hope I've set in place. If you're waiting to fight, seize victory for yourself."

He grinned, "Well said! Now, try not to let the fall hurt you too much" as he gave his allies a telepathic warning. Then he gave a polite nod to Will, who thrust his staff directly into the ground at the edge of the property.

Where exactly everyone is I do not know, but at least one Assassin is present and that's enough for me. Let's start this final showdown with a bang.

"Knock knock."

Will's spear is an item originally made by Robin to deal with Ba'al's reality marble but is being used here as a general-purpose AoE attack. The spell loaded into it is one that destroys space itself in the area around it, but the spike has been modified to not affect allies, something I brought up in the hotel thread. The goal of this is to destroy Moriarty's floating fortress and have us all tumble to the ground or kill each other mid-air, whichever happens first. The range of the attack should comfortably encompass the entire battlefield so Will doesn't have to aim so much as just turn it on. Marian will be looking after Antonio and both she and Robin will be keeping their eyes out for any vulnerable opponents. Will is also naturally using PD to vibe-check Assassins.

Just to clarify who it will be ignoring

  • Robin
  • Antonio
  • Merry Men
  • Earls
  • Canute
  • Elligatia

Playtime Shall Indeed Continue

He grinned, "Well said! Now, try not to let the fall hurt you too much" as he gave his allies a telepathic warning. Then he gave a polite nod to Will, who thrust his staff directly into the ground at the edge of the property.

Where the spear is meant to land, a hole opens up letting it pass through as a superior singularity that ignores the rules of time and space to absorb the spear. The hole closes before Will can be absorbed as well as Ba’al speaks for the first time.

This land is one with our creator, and he with it. To attempt to attack it is to face him in his entirety.“

As Archers gambit harmlessly fizzles out Gilles(puppet) takes a quick look at Canute.

"No calvary huh?"

The real Gilles still hidden, presses a switch and issues a command and has a bunch of his robots and the bats still flying around the village to swarm the poolside around all combatants outside of the hounds.

No Caption Provided

And with another press of a button has them self-destruct The robots who ominously looked like humans scream as they explode "FOR THE PROFESSOR!!! FOR GILLES DE RAIS!!!"

No Caption Provided

All of the robots and robotic animals at the poolside explode spontaneously except the Gilles puppet which doesn't explode right away. He starts to clap vigorously "Time for the hounds to feast" then he finally blows up as well.

The real Gilles let's out a chuckle. "Let us commence my comrades."

"Let Stop the Pendulum"

The villa grounds float dozens of kilometers in the sky. Several massive boulders, more than large enough to support an array f people floating below it. Chunks of debris and mass constantly fall away from the landmass. The world seems to slow to a still. Dialogue and destruction are halted alike. The explosions by Gilles de Rais and the gambit laid out by Robin Hood are stopped by the island itself. And yet despite it being the will of the Lord of Crime, he still seems to refuse to make his appearance. Instead, the stifled explosions seem to set the world back on a timer. A slow, crawling timer that grinds itself to completion with each metaphysical swing. The floating villa is the stage of the final battle.

No Caption Provided

Sebastian Moran & Lycaon ready their weapons. And Ba'al finally finishes his chant. The will of God, the wrath of the Devil makes its presence known once more. As out of the pool the giant rises once more. The cascading torrent of water wash over the grounds and poured onto the island below. Before the water can finish crashing, a gale of flame and wind manifests in a massive tornado as another beast of rage appears. But it too is not alone.

Your soul is famished,

I offer these wayward souls.

Feast, Feast, Feast.

Gorge yourself until Satisfaction.

Come,Soul Eater

No Caption Provided

The three beasts serving under the being formerly known as the Unknown Soldier answer the call to their master's side. The Leviathan stares down Archer and the floating party, while the Chimera and Soul Eater look upon the master and servant in front of them. Their hunger is palpable.

Once again, Ba'al speaks, with the authority of his benefactor.

"Out of respect for your power, your grace, and our dreams, we would ask you one last time. Lay down your arms and surrender. We wish for you to walk the same path. To guide you. Let us bring you to a new world. Out of respect for your pride, shall not ask a second time."

Casting the Die

No Caption Provided

Robin’s right, the time for talking is done. Now is the time for action

Armor begins to appear around Canute. Then, around each of his Earls in turn. A gift from Robin.

"Out of respect for your power, your grace, and our dreams, we would ask you one last time. Lay down your arms and surrender. We wish for you to walk the same path. To guide you. Let us bring you to a new world. Out of respect for your pride, shall not ask a second time."

"To you Soldier, I think there is no need for words any longer. And as for your request,"

"I am very, very bad at surrendering."

Power surges from his voice. It fuels himself and his master. Their vision becomes faster, they are filled with such vigor that they are certain they can endure any blow.

They came from the seas.

They came from the rivers.

They came from the farthest reaches and spread to the lands beyond.

They came not from Valhalla, not from Hel,

They Came From the North!

Canute draws his sword and slashes in the same motion, as if to cut someone down with his draw. But as soon as it leaves the sheath, his blade begins to dissolve to shards of glass, so quick that by the apex of his slash he only holds the hilt.

In a flash of light, Canute and Elligatia are gone, sent to the reflected world. In there, he raises his hand, and a blast of light is fired. It travels out one of the reflections, straight toward Orpheus and Ba'al.

Imperial Privilege and Charisma are activated. Canute raises his and Elligatia's agility and endurance by two ranks. Canute and the Earls have activated the anti-divinity army given to them by Robin, the effects of which have been established in previous threads.

If the Noble Phantasm attack connects, Orpheus and Ba'al will be trapped in the mirror, which Canute will shatter. Canute is putting full faith in Pioneer of the Stars this fight.

Meanwhile

As their king spoke his words, the Earls moved as well. Emma looked up towards Lycaon on the upper deck.

"This is a bit crowded, don't you think? I'd love to punish the womanizer but this scene, I think it's more fitting of the other."

She raises both hands,

"King of Arcadia, enjoy your visit to the realm of England."

A brilliant light rippled out in a circle around the villa, shaking the entire world. Most gathered were unaffected. But Lycaon and the Earls saw the scene before them disappear, one piece at a time, replaced by the throneroom of a great stone castle.

A brilliant light rippled out in a circle around the monument, shaking the entire world.

“Ahh! Aaaack! I told you! Seol Jihu, you bastard!”

Thinking that an earthquake was happening, Maria stomped her feet in frustration and cried out. But excluding Maria, the rest of the expedition team looked around themselves with speechless faces.

“The world is….”

It was dissolving.

There was no other way to put it.

Someone exclaimed.

“Unbelievable….”

It was most definitely an unbelievable sight. Every time the world shook, the leaves would fall off trees and the clouds in the sky would disappear.

It was as if someone splashed an undried-painting with water.

The scene in front of the expedition team disappeared like a lie, one element at a time. And following that, a world that was hiding beneath it began to peek out.

The unveiled scenery was a world that was beautiful enough to make one’s jaw drop. The area boasted a spectacular view that made the Haramark Palace insignificant in comparison.

Well-maintained roads, bright trees and plants that received plentiful sunshine planted neatly along the sides of the roads, and the petals that drifted in the wind, glittering with light…

Soft fragrance entered their nose as they breathed in the air.

A grand golden palace stood in the center of the dazzling garden. In this indescribably marvelous landscape, the palace covered in gold in all its entirety was truly an awe-inspiring spectacle.

“Wow….”

Instead of being just ‘grand,’ it was almost dream-like.

—Welcome to the main pagoda of ancient sorcery, the Pagoda of Dreams.

The dull mechanical voice rang out again.

—My Master, the ‘Dreaming Witch’, ‘Roselle La Grazia’ is waiting for you.

—This way, please.

- Second Coming of Gluttony, Chapters 217-218

This is not an illusionary space like her flashbangs subject their targets to. The walls are solid, physical. This is not a move to toy with Lycaon's mind. It is a move to trap and defeat him.

Seol Jihu’s eyes flickered open.

‘Huh…?’

Things felt different than when he woke up from the nightmare. He felt refreshed like he just got a good night’s sleep. When his blurry vision came into focus, Seol Jihu gulped hard.

The same sounds of surprise rang out around him.

The expedition team was lying in the middle of the forest again. Seeing that the Stele of Evaluation had flickered off, he realized what must have happened.

The expedition team had unknowingly fallen asleep and dreamed.

Even Flone.

He couldn’t tell whether what he saw was a dream or a reality.

“Ah, shit.”

Chohong, who was rubbing her forehead drowsily, hurriedly shot up. Seeing the bags sprawled around them, she glanced at them half in doubt.

“Please… please…”

Pleading earnestly, she untied the knot on a bag. A big grin immediately spread across her face. She grabbed a handful of gold and burst into laughter.

“Look! It wasn’t a dream! It wasn’t a dream! Uhahahaha!”

Eadric snickers, venom fueling his voice, "Like a wolf caught in a snare."

Eadric will begin running Charisma/Espionage during this stage, producing the following effects:

  • Thorkell: Mana Burst C>A
  • Eric: Divinity D>B
  • Emma: Magecraft raised 2 ranks
  • Eadric: Agility/Endurance raised 2 ranks
  • Lycaon: Marksmanship and Mana Burst reduced 1 rank

The Earls will then attack in a pincer. Eric will utilize both Noble Phantasms, teleporting behind Lycaon and using his skill to swiftly land two strikes for cause death.

Thorkell will fire a water missile that absorbs his enemies energy and gets stronger with it, pouring a full 80 mana into the attack.

Emma will attack Lycaon mentally. Not the flashbacks used previously, she's attacking directly here, trapping him in dreams immobilize him.

When her thoughts reached here, Vulgar Chastity drew a deep breath.

“The Astral… World…?”

The feeling of separation between reality and what was in front of her quickly strengthened. By the time her suspicion turned into conviction…

[My, my…]

“?”

[What a coarse laughter.]

A cold, mocking voice suddenly flowed out... Chak, along with a clap.

“!”

Vulgar Chastity lifted her head in a startle, opening her eyes wide.

The scenery in front of her quickly went up.

Her face turned pale. She was floating in the air just a moment ago, but now she was falling without her knowledge. Before she could move the wings that had inadvertently stopped, her foot landed on the ground.

“...!”

A hint of confusion mixed into her already dazed expression.

The pillars of fire that had embroidered the fortress had disappeared before she noticed.

The World Tree wasn’t burning either.

The scenery was exactly the same as when she first arrived in this place.

Almost as if she had a dream.

Just what happened?

Looking around the surroundings in a daze, Vulgar Chastity...

[That’s quite the expression you’ve got there.]

...raised her eyes at the sudden voice.

A slender, long-haired woman was sitting on top of the withered tree. With her legs crossed and her chin resting on the back of her hand, this woman was looking down at Vulgar Chastity with a cheerful expression.

Vulgar Chastity became momentarily speechless as she felt the extraordinary energy emanating from this woman.

Her eyes met the woman’s pupils that were as calm as the ocean.

[What’s wrong?]

Her coquettish eyes with a beauty mark curved into a beautiful crescent shape.

[Did you have a nice dream?]

Now or Never I:

Fighting. Elligatia was getting tired of it. From the moment she got on this island, it had been a fight. She was no stranger, and she was no idiot either: Grail Wars weren't won without fights. But the inclusion of an individual like James Moriarty meant that this was far worse a hassle than she needed it to be. Several developments had been annoying, and now Avenger was on the opposite side. Elligatia and Rider just could not catch a break. Moriarty was on the verge of victory.

And she was so over it.

...

"They Came From the North!"

"Rider, I order you by command seal: They Came From the North is going to kill Orpheus and the Unknown Soldier. For good."

And she meant every word. Thanks to Signatory, Elligatia has Voyager of the Storm D active, meaning she also poured whatever Charisma E does into that Command Seal. Thanks to VotS, she also receives a boost to her Strength and Endurance parameters. And she wasn't done. For the fourth time this Grail War, which was about five times more than she had expected to, the tattoo carrying the Mavaca family crest shone.

With so many variables at play, it is damn near impossible for us the debaters to know exactly what can make Team Yellow's uncertain chain of events certain. Thankfully, Cook carries Optimal Action, as seen before:

The numerous insect-type majins that were produced were as strong an opponent to Shion as Minaza was proud of. Each of them was as good as a greater majin, and some of them were as fierce as a Demon Lord Seed.

However…

Shion had defeated all of them, though it was a hard fight.

That being the case, there would be no second time.

Using ‘Optimal Action,’ the essence of the Unique Skill ‘Cook,’ the insect-type majins were defeated in an instant.

Minaza was astonished. Even if she didn’t fight herself, she could exhaust her opponents just wearing them down with the children over and over again. She was so good at such tactics that she was confused in the face of a non-standard opponent like Shion.

It's not allowing me to source, but it's volume 15 of whatever the weeb it's from. Something something slime.

Which means that whatever the effect needed to be put into place here in order to make this situation work for us, that's what's going to happen, and I've shown numerous times that it can do plenty. From rewriting the effects of attacks to rewriting magic fields to boosting oneself, if that's what it takes, that's what'll happen.

And for final measure, Elligatia will also fire her crossbow from within the reflected world.

Elligatia may have activated her ancient crest, but the effect is not Shion's Cook. See you in the phase verdict.

The Time For Truth:

The ending of a big event can mean a lot of things for an infinite number of reasons. For some, it could be the satisfaction of finishing a story that took up the majority of their lives, others may see it as a disheartening reality of life that it all comes to an end when the clock strikes 12. But for our Wanderer, Antonio found himself unsure of how to feel about this closing act. Of course, the obvious reaction would be to assume that this is due to the sheer scale of this encounter & the insurmountable wall that needs to be climbed, which certainly weighed on Antonio’s mind. Yet, at the same time, this sprawling pandemonium of figures with such strong convictions is yet another reminder of Charlotte’s words. It should be an aspect of a grail war Antonio should be long used to, but the final battle was a reminder that this battle is more than just an avenue for answering his own personal inhibitions.

Perhaps in part due to that internal dialect, or maybe it’s just the lingering head injury, but Antonio’s mind found itself wandering in his subconscious one last time. Perhaps it was the lingering concussion he gave himself, but his internal world was now one painted to resemble somewhere very…mechanical.

The average-sized room was painted a staunch white, with no decorations or anything that doesn’t have an immediately useful niche, save for a small, black CRT television. Instead, it’s a room filled with documentation, shelves & desks lined up to every wall & calendars marked with dozens of important notes that seemed abstract to the untrained eye. Most damning of all, however, was a singular desk & chair in the middle of the room. The design of the workstation was about as plain as the rest of the interior, but what stuck out instead was the man sitting there. He was a slender, average-height man in his mid-30s, scribbling away at some ineligible forum & wearing what appeared to be a mix between a doctor’s lab coat and a pitch-black suit. Even in the act of this mundane task, his presence was one that garnered instinctive respect.

“What exactly are you doing, boy? It’d be funny if it weren’t so annoyingly influential to us all.”

No Caption Provided

His name was Ichyros Argyros, 2nd in command for the Argyros household, as well as a member of the group that oversaw Robin’s initial summoning. Despite the question & sharp tone towards Antonio, Ichyros paid his physical presence no heed, his head glued to the writing on his shelf. In response, the understudy could only croak out a non-answer.

“Sir. Ichyros, what do you mean?”

“You know exactly what I mean.”

Ichyros’ response was nothing short of a hiss as he pulled a small remote from behind a folder and turned on the TV. On-screen there was what appeared to be a news program, broadcasting the audio of an all-too-familiar face:

No Caption Provided

That footage was enough for Ichyros to put a halt to his writing, his eyes now firmly within Antonio’s vision, paralyzing him to the soul.

"This. Why exactly is a student of the great Argyros name, one favoured by the master himself, tarnished as such a vile criminal? The PR team is going to have a nightmare cleaning this up.”

“That’s a lie, coned up the Jame Moriarty, and you know that!” Antonio, aware of the dream status he is currently in, still finds it within himself to rebuke his superior, but Ichyros would have none of it, the only change to his response being a slightly stronger inflexion & narrowed stare.

“Oh, really? Is that why you tried to gang up on a mentally challenged woman to gather information that you didn’t need? And that’s not all. Let’s run down the list, boy. You tried to knock that same woman unconscious, only to pull the stunt on yourself. You haven’t helped in any servant battle, in fact, you’ve probably just made everything harder for everyone.”

“Shut up,” Antonio whispered under his breath, but it could not stop the assault from Ichyros, growing increasingly vile with every syllable.

“In fact, now that I think about it, what did you do in general? You couldn’t get a peep out of Charlotte, brought multiple of your own bases to ruin, and worst of all, you know your childish idea to band servants together? Well, wouldn’t you know it, that gave James the perfect opportunity to play you like fiddles!”

“I said shut up…”

Ichyros stands, the wheeled chair he was sitting on soaring to the other side of the room, yet the sudden slam into the wall could not be heard over his enraged vocals.

“Honestly, what the hell does Geraki see in you, let alone the King of Mages? “Your bravery and courage are to be admired”? Give me a goddamn break, there’s only one thing, whether it be Geraki or Solomon, that could ever be gleaned from you, Antonio Lanzo.”

Ichyros, reminding Antonio’s subconscious of his god-given surname, the name synonymous with his time in Columbia’s slums, was the last straw for the young outcast, for as the last word came out of Ichyros’ mouth, Antonio strutted towards him, grabbing his black shirt with ferocious intent.

“Pity.”

“I said shut up!!!” Antonio knew that these were his own thoughts, manifested to no one but his own internal circuitry, but that didn’t matter. He knew in his heart of hearts that what his mind was projecting was correct, at least within this space, and that put him on the verge of tears. Yet, this journey, this nightmarish collection of mistakes, pain & so much more reminds Antonio of yet another, but perhaps the most primal, motive of disdain for Moriarty's plans.

“Look, I get it. I came here to prove myself, yet all I could ever do was make a fool of myself. You have every right to hate me, wasting the chance for a grail and tarnishing the Argyros' name in the process. But…but I’m not going to run away.” Antonio lets go of Ichyros’ shirt and turns away from him. “I’m a failure, dare I say that I’m the biggest loser out of everyone present. I’ve spent the last decade and change trying to cover for my failings, but I can’t do it on my own. However, I refuse to just accept these failures as something I can’t be better from. I don’t know how long it’ll take, but I’m going to be better, even if I continue to stumble & fall. If I don’t, it’d be a disgrace. To the Argyros, to my father & sister, and to all the lives I snuffed out in Columbia.” Antonio then stares down towards his Morph Gun, the last remanent as a member of the Colombian underbelly’s front lines, with grim determination.

“You asked what I’m doing, and I’ll give you my answer. I’m here to earn my- no, our right to evolve.”

Ichyros could only stare at the self-affirming speech with a blank glance & a deep sigh, his voice lowering to less anger & more of a mix of annoyance & judgmentalism.

“Oh, really now? And who’s going to stop him now? Surely not you, with your third-rate magecraft & deranged ploys, right?”

Antonio can only close his eyes and smile, his face & mind combine to create the entire gambit of emotions. The fear of death, anger at his own mistakes, and questions about every possible upcoming scenario all collate into a half-hearted smile that shows so much yet hides equal amounts.

“You’re probably right, but we’ve come this far, so we might as well give it the trademark college try.”

As his sentence ends, Antonio forces open & strides out the large, imposing doors behind him, slamming them behind him with a guttural slam, only to find himself returned back to reality where his group’s final challenge is staring them straight in the face. Antonio then responds to the real world by clocking his gun, pulling up his cloak’s hood, checking the knife that’s still in his heart is in place & takes a deep breath. Soaking the moment that very well may be his last deep into his core, he reopens his eyes and responds to the final boss of Illhaldesal.

"Out of respect for your power, your grace, and our dreams, we would ask you one last time. Lay down your arms and surrender. We wish for you to walk the same path. To guide you. Let us bring you to a new world. Out of respect for your pride, shall not ask a second time."

"You really thought we would actually agree to that? How about instead you stop trying to sick your pets on us and bring the good shit out. That goes double for you, Moriarty, or has the truth of your ugliness finally dawned on you, to where you can’t even show your face?”

Finally, with an outstretched arm, Antonio's command seals begin to glow, and he chants a message for all to hear.

"Legendary spirit from across time, Robin Hood, hear my Command Seal and see to our demands! Tonight, we shall bring victory to the shores of Illhadesal!"

"If The World Doesn't Make Sense, Then Why Don't We Force It To?"

Perceiving the incoming events and declaration of war, those contracted under Professor James Moriarty no longer hold any quarter. If none was taken, none shall be given. But it is not Moriarty himself who calls the banner, nor is it the phantasmal force who asked for the surrender of their enemies. It was the Napoleon's most trusted partner. The Second Most Dangerous Man in London.

"Heh. Just what I was hoping for. But you bastards won't live to see the light of a new day. At least not as you are now. But don't worry. It won't be painful. It'll be quick. Because, this time..."

The Galvanizer:

Despite their wayward and clashing personalities, the synergy of the Hounds is fantastic. In this first and last battle together, they truly fight as one. At the same time, Ba'al and Moran make their move unleashing their abilities in unison. The former unleashing the full might of The Equalizer:

Well, the best answer based on the abilities present would be to cut those abilities off entirely or even better cut the power supply entirely. This is exactly what Ba'al's chief noble phantasm; The Equalizer does. By striking it into the ground, this NP projects a field of energy that not only negates all powers the user designates after they've been used, but it cuts the targets off from their source of power entirely:

And of course, as you all know, this extends to a large town-sized AOE (thanks to the NP rankings), forward from the user out while allowing his and his allies' powers to remain usable. The fact that it cancels out not just zanpakuto (equivalent to noble phantasms ) but even the general powers of Soul Reapers by sealing their spiritual energy unless they've already been summoned, I wouldn't expect to call upon new mounts, summons, or even magical abilities with ease.

Even should Rider still access the Mirror Dimension with Pioneer, between both forms of control, Ba'al and Moran should have the dominating control of all magecraft, mana bursts, and even noble phantasm usage within this space.

Provided the blast of TCFTN and Elligatia's Crest is able to launch toward Orpheus and Ba'al, the Chimera will jump in front of it and unleash his corrosion at the blasts, whilst using his body as a shield to intercept it all in the stead of Ba'al who is taking an added measure of defense by passing into the void of the otherworld. At A Rank and below Marksmanship fired attacks can both be intercepted and even should they overpower the Soul Eater's breath and destroy it, The Chimera is also there as another body to intercept it along with the inability to fire through intangibility, let alone dimensions that EoTD EX would provide as well.

The Counterattack:

And Moran with a single bullet releases the second form of his Mana Burst, taking control of the surrounding mana to erase the effects of the abilities launched towards his allies and keep his own team's abilities in play. Inside this zone, which is fairly large considering the smaller space this battlefield is compared to the wider expanse of the mainland allows Moran to move freely across space and utilize mana from the environment and more than what he is normally capable of whilst conserving his own.

Because of this, Moran is capable of unleashing attacks in any direction, so combined with Marksmanship and his propensity to use any and all means to disable and hit his opponents I've no problem arguing him firing a powerful set of bullets inside your own attacks, behind, and around each of you. To intercept and shoot down attacks as well as just attack Of course, he'll be activating Presence concealment as well in the midst of this. And given Marksmanship, the natural level of his skill alongside this, it will be difficult to accurately predict and counter his attacks.

The Colonel possesses the magical and martial training to perceive several layers of general ability. All mages in Negima/UQ Holder have a passive extrasensory perception or ESP.

Including telepathy, sensing invisible beings, detection of and reverse scrying, mild future vision, and perceiving different types of magical abilities being used, and yet there exists a ghost capable of being not just invisible but imperceptible to the sixth sense of highly trained magic users, even those specifically trained in spiritual arts. But the Colonel's Demon Eye is more than capable of tracking and perceiving her as if she was visible to the naked eye.

On top of that, the Colonel has honed his senses in battle significantly being able to predict where a teleporter will travel and detect, combat, and maneuver things he cannot see while he was also invisible. So there's no hiding from him.

As for where Moran is going, he's landing on top of the Leviathan to ride it as it unleashes a full burst of its Oceanic Power

The very basics of this teigu allow Esdeath to instantly flash freeze anything within her range with a thought:

No Caption Provided

Be it on contact with her skin akin to Adult Hitsugaya, without looking but simply detecting others around her and freezing them with a thought. She can even adjust the effective height and range for massive AOE, such as here when she flash-freezes multiple Danger Beasts who dwarf a town by several magnitudes. As an added effect, likely thanks to the way ice abilities and nigh AZ temperatures work, Esdeath's flash freezing is seemingly able to sap or weaken the general stats of the target. Letting her instantly shatter what could take her blows before. This even speaks to her potency as she was able to still temporarily stop and flash freeze Evolved Tatsumi, draining his strength to the point where he was out of breath immediately after breaking out.

As the beast's aim is to freeze all enemies in sight or if it can't freeze you, scatter you with the sheer AOE. The ice also serves as another means of playing offense and defense at the same time, being a giant wall capable of stopping attacks or it least deterring them to give enough ample time for the ones behind it to evade or prepare countermeasures.

With Lycaon able to sense an incoming teleportation attack, he will bait them and let their physical and magical attacks pass through while he dodges and fires two small energy bursts at his oncoming assailants to scatter them should they actually be able to make it to him.

Why do you seek the grail?

Loading Video...

That was a question asked of Robin a long time ago, and one he had to ask himself repeatedly since.

"Out of respect for your power, your grace, and our dreams, we would ask you one last time. Lay down your arms and surrender. We wish for you to walk the same path. To guide you. Let us bring you to a new world. Out of respect for your pride, shall not ask a second time."

"Surrender? Ahahahaha. We don't even know what that means! But I'll say this: Win or lose... by journey's end I'll ensure the winner remembers this battle for the rest of time. That I promise you."

"Legendary spirit from across time, Robin Hood, hear my Command Seal and see to our demands! Tonight, we shall bring victory to the shores of Illhadesal!"

The Grail, Moriarty, Antonio... this myriad of varying motivations echoed and swirled together in his mind, coalescing into a single static image. It was a single seed, alone in an empty cold void.

"I guard the green of this world."

Robin spoke at a bitch barely above a whisper, and the seed in his mind began to sprout. The pitch-black void lightened to a grey.

"Growing, twisting, building."

He raised his right hand and the seed began to rapidly grow, creating a single tree, a gigantic oak that towered high into the sky.

"As long as it lives, Hades shall not know my face."

He spread his arms out and so too did the roots of the tree spread outwards at a blinding pace until they covered every inch of the world inside his mind.

"Bloom once more..."

Then Robin clenched his fist, straining to do so, and the world collapsed back into a single seed. Only unlike previously, the seed was not inside the void; the void was inside the seed!

"Sherwood Forest!"

Robin opened his fist, within which lay the seed of his mind. Doing so released the pent-up pressure as it reacted to exposure to the outside world and quickly sought to overwrite it. In a flash, the forest exploded outward, covering much of the small floating island and dragging the participants of the battle into its borders.

Assuming he doesn't get interrupted, Robin is going to drag everyone into his reality marble, which will be helped by the boost he is receiving from Antonio's command seal.

Shocking absolutely nobody other than Death, the ability of which is Kirara's Love Rendezvous from JJK, applied as though it were a domain expansion. It's slightly confusing but the gist of it is that it allows objects and people to be marked with one of the five stars. For an object with a mark to touch another object with a mark, it must move through the star marks in sequence. In this battle, Robin will be mixing up who is marked with what freely as is required, as the reality marble essentially allows him to mark or unmark anyone as he pleases. But that's not super important so here's what is: targets marked with the same star attract each other and targets with stars out of sequence repel each other. Since the ability marks cursed (magic) energy, this means that ranged attacks are extremely dangerous since they'll come flying straight back at you, but it also means that for the assassins Robin can mark the magical energy from their attacks (which are visible to him) which will automatically mark the assassin's themselves. I won't bother using the star names and confusing us so I'll just go with numbers.

For an initial standpoint, Robin will mark Ba'al (and his summons) and Moran as well as the environment behind/underneath them with 1, Lycaon and Orpheus and their immediate vicinity with 2, Marian with 3, himself with 4 and Antonio with 5. I don't know if Gilles will be caught inside but he hasn't yet fired any magic attacks for Robin to mark anyways. If he does show then he can also get 2. Marian can attack with ranged shockwaves which are not magical in nature and won't be affected by the attraction, and Robin can similarly fire bullets from his pistol which have no magical energy in and of themselves. By comparison, Ba'al and Moran's attacks will be attracted to each other leading to friendly fire on their parts, which should also restrict the Equalizer's capabilities (or at least the range) since it works by projecting an energy field which will get sucked back to himself. Similarly, Lycaon's attacks will be drawn to Orpheus and vice versa, and importantly none should be able to easily reach Robin/Marian/Antonio. He'll be ready to mark Will or his other allies if need be but will refrain initially to avoid interfering with their attacks.

Lastly, Will is going to repeat his initial space-shattering attack on the four of them, which as an A++ magecraft should do some damage now that there is (hopefully) a reality marble between them and Moriarty. Unlike before however, it will be made to smart target their opponents so that it doesn't affect the forest, so Moran (and Gilles if he's in here) will likely not be touched by it.

That's the gist- incapacitate them and then shoot them real good.

"Don't worry, I'll do it for you"

Morbus Animorum

"...It sounds like there's another voice in the back of your skull. You should listen to them."

... shut up. Don't speak like you know me, like you know my plight, like you know my desperation.

"...Can you imagine the weight of knowing the world was destroyed for your sake? The cost of that overbearing affection? No one worth loving could look at you after that."

Be quiet. She wants this as badly as I do. This is the only way, this is the only path left.

She wouldn't want this...

Orpheus' eyebrows twitch. His pulse quickens and his eyes momentarily waver under the cover of a storm of crows.

Don't get brave now. It was your choice to appear here in this form, you chose to reject the caster class, you chose to take the chance to modify it, and even then you were too pathetic to go through with it. That's why you made me, to take the blame for you. So you can sit down there and pretend to be clean. But you're not. Everything I do, I do because of you. Don't pretend to be noble after all of this, you're worse than I am, you're covered in filth, too stained by your own delusions to ever be clean again. So sit back and be absorbed by your nightmare once more. I'll accomplish your dream for you by the time you wake up.

Orpheus' saint graph shifts and morphs under the strength of his words. The voice, the presence, is once more crushed and drowned in a sea of darkness taking the form of a beach of ash.

Orpheus looks back up. He speaks like he knows my pain, like he knows my suffering. He doesn't. He doesn't, but oh, oh he will.

  • Charisma buff modified, Oblivion Correction -> A+

Actions

Orpheus ain't playing, or at least, he's not intending to. The proverbial cat is out of the bag, so he has no reason to conceal his EX rank NP from anyone here. As a consequence, he will be opting to open by using both noble phantasms in conjunction. As previously established, the flesh sings:

Takeru tried to reach out with his hands towards Kiseki who was at the centre of meat mass that was singing like a chorus.

5, 4

So using them both won't be an issue.

You already all know what both NPs do, generally speaking, so I won't repost all the feats already posted or link back to them. All the opponents are already well aware of those feats. I don't know if any PC is in use from my opponents, but since Gilles and Moran both use it and I don't know their exact locations, EH at least will be more targeted on my opponents specifically than it usually is. If they have PC users that I can't sense with my normal magecraft senses (great sage, magic sense, thought acceleration), they probably won't be targeted. Everyone else within the ~450m range from the offensive team, yeah, they will.

Speaking about EH first, what's important about this usage that isn't usually important is the defensive measures of the NP. You see, this ability isn't just the aura, it's the properties of Daniel's living dimension abilities (similar to how Agony and Oppression are both abilities that evolve into Event Horizon, Living Dimension is an ability that evolves into Living Multiverse, they're all really the same power, so don't worry if feats use these terms interchangeably)

Without further adieu

Not dying to TCFTN:

As far as I can tell, this application of Mirror Master works via dimensional/teleportation based offensive abilities. Mirror Master works in a similar vein to other dimensional/spatial abilities in doing tele-slice damage upon destruction and stuff, so I think there'd be an agreement for this interpretation:

The Flash (2011) #38

In that case, Tragoúdi Aneípotis Thlípsis (TAT) is incredibly helpful here in a defensive manner, which makes me quite thankful I took the esoteric defences along with it. You see, Daniel is removed from the axis of forces (really, space and time) of the universe he is in, as he has his own (hence the name living dimension/multiverse). This results in things like this happening when he is attacked by spatial manip:

Mana charged into my runes, the red aura of energy radiating out,

“I'm very, very hard to kill.”

Ajax raised his right hand and clasped it. The fluid movement split reality at my neck. It was an odd sensation, like he was cleaving the fabric of dimensions apart around me. It didn’t cleave me apart, however. It felt like I wasn't the dimension he was slicing.

It confused Ajax more than it confused me even. Ajax’s eyes were glowing, green orbs, and one opened wide while another narrowed. It was like he was raising an eyebrow at us,

“You’re not of this plane...You’re somewhere else, while being here...What are you?”

I charged at him,

“Something that will kick your ass.”

Ajax raised a palm to me as he shouted, “Stop. I’ll do as you ask.”

- 106

It just straight-up doesn't work. Note that Ajax is a character whose spatial/dimensional manip allows him to actively access a different dimension for perfect stealth shenanigans:

“I imagine so. We met with Ajax. I don’t know what he’s been doing, but the Ajax you’re following isn’t the real him?”

Torix cupped his chin, “Really now? Odd...It must be a doppelganger. It was my mistake in intelligence.”

I raised a palm to Torix, “I wouldn’t go that far. Ajax has been spying on us since we were in BloodHollow. I can’t stress how much he’s seen of us. I couldn’t even sense a gravitational flux in his mass. I’m guessing he slips in and out of our dimension or something like that.”

Torix frowned, “Well...that’s difficult to even imagine.”

- 107

Althea shrugged, "Yeah, I'd say so, but how? Ajax can teleport and phase through dimensions." She waved her hands around, "He just blips in and out."

- 145

He finished speaking and disappeared. It was a complete and utter erasal of his existence. Nothing remained, not his scent, the heat off his breath, not even his effect on gravity. A second later, he appeared beside Althea. He grabbed her skull, lifting her with a single hand,

- 106

This is accomplished by Ajax being fused with a dimensional spear, something that cuts apart space and time and allows for interdimensional travel:

Schema created all my trees, stats, hell he created everything with the dimensional cipher. He created the sentinels and spears that could cleave through time and dimensions.

- 107

Ajax is, however, just using a dimensional spear, so it's not like he was made with its power, so one could argue that his use isn't perfect. Even though he can dimensionally travel in and out of the realm of eldritch gods who control the space around them:

Yawm leaned towards me, the intensity of the stare like acid.

“The creature wept.”

Yawm leaned back up into his chair,

“And so, this monstrosity flooded the plain that we were summoned in. I was able to contain much of this viscous fluid that was released by him. As the pocket universe around me collapsed, Ajax warped in and pulled me out of Etorhma’s temporal plane. I can still remember the racking cries of that creature.”

- 125

Daniel has, however, fought directly with someone trying to cut him in half with this dimensional spear. And, what happened when they did that?

Rearing back its spear, it let out a swipe that launched out a dimensional wave. It tore across the blue core's defenses, leaving cracks in the hexagonal barrier. Before it swiped again, I propelled myself towards the attack. Reaching out a hand, the slice snapped against my palm, unable to harm me. I gripped the slicing energy, draining it. The Sentinel leaned back from my presence, and I glared at the poor sap stuck in that armor.

- 294

It does nothing. And beyond that, after an exchange of blows and repeated attempts to dimensionally slice Daniel in half

As we got close to the core's barrier, He charged the blade, shifting the magenta-colored edge to a deeper violet.

He sliced through dimensions before the blade made contact with my shoulder. On touching my skin, the blade snapped. There was no resistance, and it was unable to do me harm. As the edge flopped sideways, the Sentinel stared at me. From the cracks in its facemask, its eyes hollowed. The corrupted Sentinel put a hand on my shoulder, and he spoke in his original voice,

"It was a good fight."

- 294

The thing snapped in half against Daniel's skin. In essence, if you wish to attack Orpheus, spatial/dimensional manip isn't the way to go.

Your limitations stem from the nature of your existence. As a dimension, you will struggle to influence the spatial laws around you. In many of your conflicts, others have tried manipulating the space around you to negatively impact you in some way. Your complete autonomy is why you've come out unscathed."

I clamped my hand shut, letting my hand fall to my side, "Like Ajax's dimension slicing or Chrona's time manipulation...Huh, so why do physical attacks still affect me then?"

- 221

This, of course, also extends into teleportation and especially forceful teleportation.

The Overseer pointed his finger at Shalahora, and the Sovereign beside me shifted out of the Overseer's shadow. Shalahora held two locations simultaneously, one half beside me and the other resting on the mana plate. Shalahora linked to everyone present in a single instance, the chain solid and firm.

...

The Overseer pointed at me. Unlike the other rulers, the ascendant Overseer snapped its fingers, sending over some kind of dimensional ripple. A chunk of the ruins and the air around me appeared on the ascendant plate of mana. I raised an eyebrow, remaining unaffected by Schema trying to jerk me around.

The other ruler class members whispered.

- 330

Where it just... doesn't work. As Canute's NP here is attempting to forcefully teleport Orpheus via dimensional manipulation into what's effectively a pocket dimension, I'm fairly confident that it's just not gonna work, both abilities (dimensional manip or forceful teleportation) being used on Orpheus are abilities that he has been shown to be immune to.

If, however, we say that for some reason it does work, Orpheus should be able to get out of it on his own anyway.

"Are you finished then? If this is all you come to say, then I'm leaving."

Eonoth reverberated out, "You may not. Invasion. Anger. Wrath. To test my mind...you will never leave here. My domain, absolute."

A deep sense of dread rose up my chest as he finished his words. I quivered for a moment, losing my composure. Minutes passed before my eyes widened. I remembered who I was and what I could do. I wasn't some scared, little boy anymore.

I raised a hand, standing tall. I reached out with Event Horizon. The aura didn't mold with ease. It struggled out as if moving through solid concrete. I pushed through the resistance, creating a sphere of control within Eonoth's dimension. I clasped my hand into a fist, saturating it with my aura. I spoke up,

"Yenno, I have a damn good reason for stopping you from tampering with my mind. You see, I've seen what you and other Old Ones do to people. Yawm was turned from warrior king of a race to an insane, genocidal maniac. Lehesion was turned from some sort of Messiah to the puppet for some shadow organization. Now you want to have your way with me."

Eonoth grumbled, "I aim not to harm you. I am different."

I shook my head, "I don't think you know what harm really is. You are entropy incarnate, and fortunately for me, I don't have to rely on you right now. I have ways of accomplishing my goals with my own two hands. Try not to take it personally."

Eonoth droned, "I attempt diplomacy. You tamper with me and my mind, a lesser being. An ant. A void."

I raised a hand and grabbed my wrist. I clasped a hand, "Yeah, maybe I am an ant. So was Yawm, and I remember you mentioning that Etorhma was given fear by him."

The dimension around me shifted, becoming unstable.

"Maybe I'll be the one to give fear to you."

Eonoth's voice thundered in my ears, louder than a supernova,

"This is mine. It cannot be taken."

I shook my head, "Not anymore. I'm no longer at your mercy."

Cracks appeared in the distance. Event Horizon stretched outwards as my infinite mana soaked my surroundings. A tint of red expanded outwards further destabilizing my surroundings. As the star beneath me turned red, Eonoth roared,

"Defiance. You will be crushed. Maimed. Murdered."

I frowned, "We'll see."

Something seized in my chest, and my eyes watered. As I blinked, my scenery shifted back to the forest. I took a sigh of relief out of habit before looking around me. I was surrounded by a circular ring of dirt with trees just outside the range of Event Horizon. The sunset over the skyline cast everything in an orange hue. Not a second had passed in realtime. Leave it to Old Ones to defy the laws of physics.

I shook off a few jitters, the meeting unsettling me. It wasn't as if I could actually overtake Eonoth's mind or anything even vaguely like that. All I could hope to accomplish was a meager kind of retaliation at best. I was pretty sure that Eonoth was more offended and outraged than actually harmed.

- 218

As he has demonstrated being able to wrestle out of dimensional spaces controlled by others before.

Sensing no danger, I hopped through the new dimensional opening. Pacing into the tiny dimension, I stretched out with the Rise of Eden, wondering if it placed a different strain on this place. It did. My dimensional wake incited a whirling, aching tremble from the tiny pocket dimension.

Spear noticed nothing, the disruption purely metaphysical. Maybe because I was a dimension, it stood out to me. Regardless of the reason, the sensation strengthened when I stretched out Event Horizon to its greatest extent. By then, the dimension wailed. I pulled the aura back, unsettled by how alive the space felt to me.

- 329

This is a consistent ability, as well.

Thus, I strongly believe that Orpheus should be flat-out immune to the attempt to force him into the mirror dimension, and even if he is somehow placed in there, he should be able to get out of said dimension on his own anyway. I'd like to additionally point out that the feat shown of the crushing of a mirror pocket people are placed in killing those inside was in reference to, like, normal ass humans. I'm not exactly a DC comics expert, but I would like to see this tactic employed against people a little stronger than regular humans.

Hitting those within the pocket dimension:

Ngl, I'm not as confident with this one as I am with the defences. That said, as EH works through the domination of the space around him, and the mirror dimension works through being a different dimension within the space he's in, if they are within its range, I don't see why it wouldn't be able to dominate the dimension as well, or at least the parts of it that are within the range of Orpheus. We've seen in the other section that when breaking out of Eonoth's space, the space around Daniel in reality was also affected by his EH, so it can affect multiple different 'versions' of space at once:

Something seized in my chest, and my eyes watered. As I blinked, my scenery shifted back to the forest. I took a sigh of relief out of habit before looking around me. I was surrounded by a circular ring of dirt with trees just outside the range of Event Horizon.

It should, logically, work the other way, with Orpheus being able to affect the dimension that Canute is in without having to enter it himself. In lieu of that, Eligatia's crossbow bolts can clearly leave the mirror dimension, so there is some established connection between the dimension and our dimension that already exists and can be interacted with.

Well, we'll see what happens with that, but at worst they're going to be at a bit of a stalemate. Ancient crest notwithstanding, anyway.

Na Einai, round 2

I've already posted most of the important information for Na Einai, as previously stated, so go back to check all that if you want the feats for the damage it does and the resistances it has. I will additionally mention, as maybe there's instant death on display from that ancient crest, idk, that Na Einai will fundamentally reject death:

Because of that, Kiseki was unable to die.Even if she temporarily dies, she will surely revive. Even if she's strangled, corrupted by poison, her heart is pierced, her head blown away, or burnt to cinders——Kiseki will definitely revive herself. Her power rejects death.

The reason Inquisition regularly kills her every month is to release the power that is accumulating inside of her.

5, 2

Regardless of the cause. We can actually see a scene where Kiseki is killed and instantly reanimated afterwards:

"——Research target's cardiac arrest is imminent. Entering preparations for injection of hihiirokane."

In the forbidden area within the prison's deepest special experiment control room, there was a girl shown on the monitor's screen. One of the Regins has reported to Ootori Sougetsu.

The one reflected in the monitor was a restrained Kusanagi Kiseki. A number of tubes were connected to her and dozens of light-emitting chains were wound around her body.

"Hmhmm... today's Kiseki-chan seems quite tenacious, doesn't she."

While staring at the monitor from staircase that was near the middle of the control room Sougetsu smiled as if it has piqued his curiosity.

Around him there were the chosen Seelies who were busy operating the room's computer, suddenly the control room has gotten busy.

"It's been more than thirty hours ever since the medication was applied. It has exceeded the lethal dose of a normal human being by over a hundred times. The poison seems unlikely to be effective... or maybe it's just the demons... what do you think, Kurogane-kun?"

Sougetsu placed a hand on his chin and called out to Hayato who was right beside him.

Hayato didn't even look at him, and just stared at the monitor.

"Something's different from usual... I've got a bad feeling. I've heard that she met with Kusanagi Takeru, did anything happen?"

"Nope? Not really. Kusanagi-kun was just a little distraught, Kiseki-chan was docile as she listened to him. Whenever she meets with him, her mental status mysteriously stabilizes and her power's activity also dulls. Honestly, holding her is quite costly, so it's a great help having them meet."

Hayato silently glared at Sougetsu.

"Got complaints? This treatment has been continuing for five years already. I don't mind if you tell me some about the ethics, but we don't have a way to control her so it can't be helped right?"

"............"

"Even for me, having to kill an innocent girl time after time again is painful. But if we don't do it, that alien thing won't come out. We must drag out that alien thing out of her and kill and kill and kill it until its exhausted. If we fail to do so, the world might perish."

Sougetsu smiled thinly to Hayato.

"The one who caught Kiseki-chan five years ago was you, you should know best just how dangerous is she right?"

"............I am aware of it."

"Don't worry. It will end soon. Geez, Alchemist sure does work fast on the things that interest them, it's a great help. In just two months... even though we were working on it frantically, they accomplished it in such a short amount of time, there's a lot to alchemy isn't there."

Sarcastically, Sougetsu praised the Alchemist and looked merrily at Kiseki who was displayed on the monitor.

"Haa, if there's a God out there that isn't one of the magical organisms, I wonder why would he drop such an organism here. Is he trying to eradicate human race for arrogance? Geez."

《"The observation target has entered cardiac arrest. It will re-awaken soon. Transitioning to first-class alertness. All Inquisition officers are asked to move assuming any possibility."》

After that report was transmitted, the people who were moving around busily all stopped moving all at once.

Sougetsu and Hayato stared at the monitor in silence.

Kiseki went limp and bowed down. All the vital signs displayed on the instruments have stopped. Starting with brain, everything has died completely.

The change happened immediately after.

Although she should have died, Kiseki faintly opened her eyelids.

《"...aa......aaa..."》

Her opened eyes were hollow, drool was dripping out of her mouth.

Sougetsu went down to the bottom from the stairs of the control room and grabbed the microphone.

"Ohh, Kiseki-chan. Good morning. How's your mood after waking up?"

So, when I say that anything short of destroying all of the cells that power Na Einai will fail to permanently put down Orpheus, I mean it.

I don't know what that crest is doing, but hopefully it doesn't atomise him out of existence. If it does, well, I tried my best.

Na Einai is obviously going to be filling the area we're in, but beyond that, it must be noted that we're in the sky on a floating island, and that island isn't going to be large enough to contain Na Einai. In that, large chunks are going to start falling off and down to the city below. You guys should really go and deal with that, wouldn't want anything happening to the city, no? You're heroes, after all. Unless I die, of course, in which case, I guess it's fine lmao. There's also the reality marble now, which I touch on in a bit.

Of course, Na Einai isn't an issue for Canute and Eli since they're in a different dimension, but it is an issue for Archer gang and the rest of the Earls.

POTS:

Figured I'd briefly mention this as Canute is putting full faith into it. I'm not quite sure how the charges work, but POTS did use a charge to turn an improbable event into a certainty during the first Moriarty group fight. In that circumstance, and because of the 'OR,' I'm believing that you only have 2 charges of that aspect left, and you can't access the overturning of an impossible event. If I'm wrong then, damn, but if I'm right, I'd like to elaborate a bit on why (ignoring the crest cus who knows what that does) POTS shouldn't be able to make the attack on Orpheus work. As addressed above, I believe there are multiple impossibilities at play with Canute's attack:

  1. Affecting Orpheus with a dimensional attack
  2. Forcefully teleporting Orpheus
  3. Trapping Orpheus within a pocket dimensiony thing
  4. Killing Orpheus with a spatial/dimensional attack

I believe each of the above, due to the properties of Orpheus' A rank NP, is an impossibility. Even if we say it's an improbability, I don't think POTS can trigger multiple times for one action, and it needs to meet a multitude of improbabilities to have this attack actually do anything to Orpheus. Maybe it triggers against Ba'al, idk, but this attack at least shouldn't trigger against Orpheus.

Reality Marble

The same feats applied against Canute's dimensional attack would apply to the reality marble. I won't repost the exact same feats, but they're both in that section.

Basically, a reality marble, as I see it, isn't much different to a pocket dimension or a space that overlaps with our own reality. TAT has already shown potency enough to break them, or, if breaking a reality marble isn't an option, to wrestle back control of the space around him with the ability despite the owner of the space (an eldritch god, in Eonoth's case) actively trying to stop him from doing that.

I raised a hand, standing tall. I reached out with Event Horizon. The aura didn't mold with ease. It struggled out as if moving through solid concrete. I pushed through the resistance, creating a sphere of control within Eonoth's dimension.

This was a long time ago within the series, so Orpheus' TAT is several orders of magnitude more powerful than the one shown in that feat. I would argue that Orpheus should be able to break the reality marble, or, if nothing else, that his TAT will be able to punch through the rules of the space he's in to continue working as normal. Dominating space and/or wrestling control from those that control space are the means through which TAT functions, after all.

This is just TAT, however. Na Einai on its own, with its massive size (as I've previously shown, it can nigh-instantly grow to be large enough to swallow a town) would quite easily fill up the space of the reality marble which kinda breaks the rules established by it. Even if the outward omnidirectional movement of the flesh is forced in one direction, there's so much flesh that it will fill up the entire 'path' it needs to take very quickly. Additionally, the demon's magic-negating properties should mean that it at least can't be tagged with a number, since the magic powering that tag would be absorbed. So that's still something to deal with even if all goes well with the reality marble.

This is, of course, all assuming that Orpheus is even dragged in there. As with the argument against Canute's attack, if the reality marble's activation here aims to pull Orpheus into the space, I don't think it would. If it just forms over what already exists though, then idk. I suppose it's just cleaner to assume he gets pulled in?

Conclusion:

  • Oblivion Correction -> A+, mainly for narrative reasons, idk the skill ranks of opposing skills and I'm being hit by an EX crest and two NPs, anyway
  • My first NP should render me immune to the attack of Canute
  • It should render the attack inert on enough levels to the extent that POTS can't activate and force it
  • Lots of Earls and team Archer members are not immune to EH, even if Canute/Eli debatably are
  • Na Einai exists
  • Na Einai is falling towards the city (depending on the spread and range of Sherwood Forest compared to the spread and range of the flesh, I guess), but if any of that fell you might want to deal with it. Even if nothing did, if we're all in a reality marble you can bet that Orpheus is going to start lying about it, lol
  • TAT should function as per normal within the reality marble. If it can't, then Na Einai's size should push it through the paths it needs very quickly. If there are no paths to force its movement then it just fills up the space anyway. It has already been shown that it eats mana, which is what Sherwood Forest is composed of, so the reality marble won't stop its growth.

"What a mess this all is. "

"Out of respect for your power, your grace, and our dreams, we would ask you one last time. Lay down your arms and surrender. We wish for you to walk the same path. To guide you. Let us bring you to a new world. Out of respect for your pride, shall not ask a second time."

"Well said my friend, and before they get any funny ideas, lets disorient them a bit." Gilles De Rais mentally warns the hounds and his own remaining forces about what he plans on doing urging the latter to clear the area before he lets loose hell. Gilles originally planned on activating a device that would have "warped reality" and would have messed with everyone's senses via an elaborate light show. He was going to have the resources necessary to move it whenever he needed to wherever he pleased, but Gilles was not expecting Rider and his allies to be here so soon, in fact he expected the battle to be taken to them! However, Gilles De Rais is a flexible man, when preparing his device, like he does with most of his equipment, he also rigged it to explode with a press of a switch. Which is what he will do.

"I believe in you guys, I'm sure you will find a way to protect yourselves. Professor, I'm counting on you to make things smooth"

During the preparation stages, it was cut down in size and the range of the explosive was cut down a few miles reducing it to a city block+ explosion for efficiency. Which should cover quite a bit of the map, hopefully disrupting Archer's ritual and killing any masters caught in the blast. Based off current events, this is where everyone is.

The explosive device is where Von Herder's workshop is which is right underneath the pool, which will almost certainly disrupt the footing and positioning of our enemies.

Gilles De Rais while safely out of range of the shenanigens, will swoop down during the aftermath to see what he can do from there assuming you guys are unscathed.

The End of the Length of Odds

The King and the Huntress VS Those Who Walk With the Dead

I won’t address EoTD because that is indeed dependent on rules and the CS/Pioneer/Crest supporting Canute. But while Marksmanship A can be intercepted using a summon to do so isn’t a good answer for They Came From the North. For one he can bounce his blasts off reflections (which should be mind-numbingly easy with Marksmanship A) to slip around defenses. More damningly though, Canute can easily spawn his attacks too close to Ba’al (or Orpheus) for Soul Eater/Chimera to help. In fact if his attack is in danger of a block he’s just going to connect to Ba'al's eyes and attack from there.

Given Orpheus’ feats and the relatively featless nature of Canute’s mirror crush, I’m forced to concede Orpheus can resist it. So Canute will change tactics and just turn him into glass. Needing to change on the fly isn’t ideal, but Canute has a healthy speed advantage as he’s charisma buffing himself to A++ agility (mach 40), fully twice Orpheus’ C agility (mach 20) so he has room. Given his knowledge of Na Eínai Os Éna, Canute knows he has to kill Orpheus fast before he becomes too large.

Ngl, I'm not as confident with this one as I am with the defenses.

I’m not particularly impressed by a full release of TAT only making a small ring of dirt. This doesn’t seem lethal.

Canute can make the connection to the real world as one-sided as he wants. He can observe and effect everyone as he pleases, while no one can detect or reach him if he does not want.

The Earls meanwhile aren’t planning on attacking anyone from within Emma’s Dream World, so there’s no real danger on their part.

Regarding Pioneer of the Stars, as far as I can tell Orpheus doesn’t have any intrinsic resistance to transmutation. And this would be hitting him quickly before he expands too large with Na Eínai. So I don’t think Canute would use up the entirety of Pioneer killing Orpheus that way.

I’d be concerned about this if I had any intention of fighting in the same dimensional space as Moran. But Canute and Emma are both taking the fights to other dimensions. I haven’t seen anything from the second form of Moran’s mana burst to suggest it would stop someone from pulling one of his teammates into another dimension. It would have to stop magical energy functions altogether, which is not something that can be done at A rank.

Because of this, Moran is capable of unleashing attacks in any direction, so combined with Marksmanship and his propensity to use any and all means to disable and hit his opponents I've no problem arguing him firing a powerful set of bullets inside your own attacks, behind, and around each of you. To intercept and shoot down attacks as well as just attack

I’m unsure what attacks Moran is planning to spawn within mana zone. Spamming full rifle shots seems very costly. While the Earls wouldn’t be especially bothered by his low-power shots. The Earls survivability is addressed in the response to Gilles.

Conquerors of the Isles VS The King of Beasts

No Caption Provided

"Come now, I thought the king of wolves could tell when he's being hunted."

With Lycaon able to sense an incoming teleportation attack, he will bait them and let their physical and magical attacks pass through while he dodges and fires two small energy bursts at his oncoming assailants to scatter them should they actually be able to make it to him.

Passivity is a very, very bad response on Lycaon’s part. In fact his actions thus far are very close to what the Earls were hoping for.

Lycaon can phase through Eric’s teleport attack, fair enough. Though Eric will keep up the pressure forcing him to stay in his air form and consume mana, or die when he stops.

The bigger danger is that allowing Emma to drag him into her Dream World means conceding a rather big environmental advantage, as she can make anything she wishes come true within there. Which give be exceptionally good battlefield control.

“You’re right. My reception hasn’t been the best, even though such honored guests accepted my invitation. Please forgive this lady’s lack of thought with magnanimity.”

Seol Jihu was taken aback. He hadn’t said anything, yet the young lady seemed to have read his thoughts.

Her eyes then gently curled into a crescent shape as she raised both her hands.

Clap!

She clapped.

Tutururu~!

Seol Jihu almost fell backward in shock. It wasn’t just him, but everyone in the expedition team.

People filled up the palace instantly. They circled around the expedition team, sang, played music, and threw flower petals into the air.

“Don’t be so surprised.”

A muffled giggle rang out.

“This is the world of my mind.”

A dreamy voice flowed out rhythmically.

“Since this is a dream world, everything I wish for comes true.”

Roselle flicked her hand like the conductor of a symphonic orchestra, and the people disappeared in an instant. The palace regained its serenity.

“Did you like my welcoming show?”

She asked, her head slightly tilted.

Seol Jihu couldn’t say anything, setting aside whether he liked it or not. He had experienced all sorts of things thus far, but this was the first time he was experiencing anything similar to what he was experiencing today.

“Now.”

Roselle clapped again, and the scenery changed. The expedition team was now standing in the middle of a beautiful garden.

A white, round table was placed in front of them, with pretty steaming tea cups placed on top of it.

- Chapter 218

Additionally, intangibility is not an answer for Emma’s mental attacks at all, and if that is all Lycaon does he’s going to get put to sleep and promptly killed. Of note, Eadric and Emma have both been given Voyager of the Storm D as a mark of contract, which is boosting their agility to A. So Lycaon doesn’t have a speed advantage to outdraw them even without Charisma.

This however is still not the crux of the Earl’s attack. Eadric’s Noble Phantasm Traitor’s Reversal allows him to switch the places of objects with similar mass. In other words he can teleport Lycaon directly into his own attacks. This tactic could not be performed safely against Sebastian Moran, whose Marksmanship is tied to an EX skill that cannot be lowered, nevermind that it would be impossible to detect him to teleport in the first place. However Lycaon, as far as we know, is not drawing Marksmanship from an EX custom. So with Eadric lowering it to B, it will lose the properties that allow it to chase down teleporting opponents.

That said, just to be safe, Eadric is not going to switch Lycaon’s places with his own. Rather he’s going to switch Lycaon’s place with Thorkell in front of him. Which would fall under interception (since he is literally reacting and putting a wall between himself and Lycaon) rather than evasion. So even against Marksmanship A this should have a measure of success.

Emma can read thoughts and will be doing so throughout this exchange, which along with Eric’s Instinct makes them very well-suited for accurately timing Lycaon’s ranged attacks. Considering Roselle does this without thinking as a bad habit she’s not exactly diverting focus here.

“This is getting boring. Just give us our shit and let us go. Why did this bitch even invite us in the first place?”

Roselle spoke monotonously.

“Hiiiiiik!?”

Maria screamed.

Seol Jihu exclaimed inwardly.

‘No way.’

Maria slammed her head down and pleaded.

“I’m sorry! Please don’t kill me!”

“No.”

Roselle covered her mouth, smiled, then shook her head.

“I would have picked fault with it if you said it out loud, but you only thought it. It’s my fault for reading your mind without permission. It’s a bad habit of mine, you see.”

- Chapter 218

Finally, Lycaon is using Storm of Arcadia as an answer for Thorkell’s Mana Burst (Water) [Thorkell is faster so there’s little reason Lycaon can stop him from getting it off]. For one, if Eadric’s Espionage is successful, it will be reduced a rank, allowing Eadric’s A rank mana burst to just overpower it. Even if it’s not, both attacks do about the same thing (drain/nullify mana), so Lycaon would have to fire an equal quantity of mana just to cancel it out. That’s a full 80 mana.

In summation, the Earls goal is to either put Lycaon to sleep or drain him through either mana expenditure or teleporting him into his own attacks. And they are going to waste no time killing him once either condition has been achieved.

Gilles, Leviathan, and Bullets

The plan is for the Earls to be in a different dimension so they are unlikely to be in range of Gilles’ explosion, Leviathan’s ice blasts, or Moran’s bullet spam. But not everything goes as planned so I’ll put a section for the Earls’ survivability.

Gilles’ explosion is city block level. This will not bother Thorkell, who has small-town durability and multi-city block strength. In fact the effects of his Noble Phantasm Liðsmannaflokkr nullifies attacks below his strength level, so this attack most likely wouldn’t even interact with his durability. He also has 12 lives and healing.

The other Earls have city-block level durability, so taking it head-on would hurt them but not KO. Eadric should be unbothered given his Noble Phantasm The Acquisitive grants him a high level of healing, so a single attack on his durability tier isn’t doing anything.

Eric and Emma are just teleporting up. Eric is well-documented but Emma can do this as well:

With a laugh, the woman suddenly vanished.

“Blink?”

A high-rank spell that swapped two spaces with each other.

Vulgar Chastity was shocked that a magic spell of such level was activated without a chant.

- Chapter 340

This is also their answer for Leviathan, except Eric will make sure to grab Eadric for that one since he’d be in a bit more trouble. You may argue the AoE will make Leviathan’s attacks difficult to avoid in the confined Reality Marble, but if the attack is that indiscriminate there’s a risk of friendly fire.

Thorkell could offset Leviathan with his own mana burst but he’d rather save his mana for offense. So he’d just use his physical speed (with Natural Body activated he’s mach 35) to avoid, and if he gets hit he’ll just regenerate. I’m unsure the ice would even prevent him from breaking out with town-level strength, but Emma can toss a D rank ice-shard to shatter him if needed.

Clang!

A giant thorn of ice suddenly shot up from the ground and pierced through her stomach.

- Chapter 340

Liðsmannaflokkr will take care of the rest. And should also help survive even Moran's stronger attacks and resist Tragoúdi Aneípotis Thlípsis worst comes to worst.

Which should cover quite a bit of the map, hopefully disrupting Archer's ritual and killing any masters caught in the blast. Based off current events, this is where everyone is.

Fortunately for us, Marian is point blank and has both a Noble Phantasm strong enough to overpower this and the skills to cut through immaterial elements like lightning. Cutting through an explosion should be relatively easy for her. Robin doesn't need to do anything and the team should be relatively unharmed. If need be she can even use her flame armour or water sword which would reduce its effects of it even further.

Gilles De Rais while safely out of range of the shenanigens, will swoop down during the aftermath to see what he can do from there assuming you guys are unscathed.

I'm not clear on his exact position, but if he intends to swoop down immediately following this, he'll presumably get caught in the Forest and ergo Will's AoE attack.

Orpheus

Na Einai is obviously going to be filling the area we're in, but beyond that, it must be noted that we're in the sky on a floating island, and that island isn't going to be large enough to contain Na Einai. In that, large chunks are going to start falling off and down to the city below. You guys should really go and deal with that, wouldn't want anything happening to the city, no? You're heroes, after all. Unless I die, of course, in which case, I guess it's fine lmao.

Assuming he activates the EX before the other one this will probably get used at a similar time to Sherwood Forest, which given Robin's small speed advantage I'm inclined to think that the RM would be up before the flesh goop can go all cloudy with a chance of meatballs on the populace below.

It's more the latter as I understand it, but given that Robin is currently being boosted by a command seal I'm confident that Orpheus would not find it so easy to break out of the space with living dimension.

It's not impossible, but more likely it would just get crushed into itself. It's obviously not exactly the same but Fushiguro couldn't maintain his large-scale rabbit escape for exactly that reason. Now as I understand it Orpheus is the flesh or something to that effect, but that doesn't change the fact that he'd be creating more of himself to crush himself with, as well as making a much easier and nicer target for Canute.

Additionally, the demon's magic-negating properties should mean that it at least can't be tagged with a number, since the magic powering that tag would be absorbed. So that's still something to deal with even if all goes well with the reality marble.

If the demon's magic is different to Orpheus' then sure. If not then it would just be constantly reapplied by how I understand it. Just marking Divine Dog indirectly placed a mark on Megumi, which in turn marked every one of his rabbits. Individually absorbing one instance of a mark wouldn't change much.

It's somewhat relevant to this but I'd also like to mention something for everyone. Other cursed techniques that rely on marking targets become enhanced by a domain expansion to the point of marking individual cells and I would expect a similar improvement for Love Rendezvous. In terms of practical differences, I would argue for a much more forceful pressure exerted by the magnetic attraction/repulsion of the marks, as well as the possibility that being marked at all might cause your body to be attracted to itself at the micro level, causing it to violently collapse. If that does happen of course, then Robin will simply choose not to mark himself, Marian and Antonio, being able to see a second into the future thanks to Mind's Eye. But assuming that gets decked by Divinity and that Robin doesn't know what his ability does, the marks can just as easily be removed before any serious damage is dealt. But this should make it that much more effective at curbing AoE abilities from Orpheus or Ba'al or even things like Moran's mana zone.

Affectus Morbi

Canute:

Canute will change tactics and just turn him into glass.

That would work better, for sure. What you must remember about transmutation, though, is that Na Einai functions on that same ability. It transmutes things into flesh with that flesh becoming part of Na Einai. As a result, attempting to transmute it isn't just attempting to transmute a blob of flesh (a very large one, at that), it's attempting to overpower Na Einai's own transmutation to the point that you can beat it to such an extent that you can transmute every cell of it. Looking at Mirror Master's feats (that I can find, at least), this seems very unlikely.

Of course, I'm just skimming RTs here, but every feat in there is just the ability being used on people. The best range I've seen of it is just from turning small groups into glass. Usually, I wouldn't argue off the basis of RTs, but even looking at the feat you've shown here, he is also just transmuting a single person. Checking the previous church thread, the same feat here is used and another one is linked to but the scan doesn't work anymore so I can't check that one. Either way, I have already shown Na Einai being capable of instantly transmuting the majority of a forest and an adjacent village upon release:

『"———Liar."』

That was the last word she said.

That's when Takeru realized he broke the promise.

With her back towards the cliff's edge, Kiseki's body fell down the cliff.

Takeru could only look at it, stunned.

After a moment of silence, the forest below stirred.

Where Kiseki has fell down——demons overflowed.

Hyakki Yakou flowed under the new moon. Like a flood, it swallowed the forest, swallowed people.

Screams acted like festival music praising the moonless night.

The demon's feast never ends. It won't end until it swallows the entire world.

Flames and smell of burning flesh attacked Takeru.

——It's your fault, all of it, is your fault.

Under the jet-black sky, screams echoed.

Takeru shook in despair for the first time.

5, 4

I don't think TCFTN has the feats needed to say it can out-transmute Na Einai here. I can imagine that the ability will start to work on a small section and then the surrounding sections of flesh will eat and transmute the glass back into flesh again pretty quickly. The prior post I made on Na Einai has more feats if you want a refresher, but it, for example, transmutes fast enough to overpower hax-based regen of a target that is healed by any damage done to them (that was in my second post in that thread). Na Einai has already demonstrated the ability to overpower very potent hax that works in complete opposition to its transmutation, so I can't see TCFTN being any different.

I’m not particularly impressed by a full release of TAT only making a small ring of dirt. This doesn’t seem lethal.

The 'small ring of dirt' is there because, at that point in the series, EH only had a range of 150m.

Current Radius: 500 ft/152 m

218

The range of Orpheus' is 3 times that amount, so the size of the ring isn't relevant (I'd also like to point out that the quote didn't label the ring as "small" but instead that he "was surrounded by a circular ring of dirt with trees just outside the range of Event Horizon"). Either way, I've demonstrated enough times about the lethality of EH, I don't need to touch on that again and nobody here has argued being able to tank it, anyway (Archer has argued he could resist it for a little bit in the Avenger vs Archer thread, but he isn't using that strategy here as far as I can tell. Thorkell is also mentioned as only 'resisting' it, but I won't belabour that point as it was only an aside and it's clear that he'd be heavily damaged by it in short order). The relevance of the feat I showed wasn't a feat for EH's lethality but for EH affecting reality while he is in a pocket dimension controlled by someone else. That, I'm arguing, should be able to work in reverse, with EH being able to affect a pocket dimension when he is standing in reality, especially as there is an established connection there that is allowing Eli to shoot out of it.

As you say, Canute can close that gap, but that should also mean that Eli can't shoot out of it. That's pretty nice for me, but also, Eonoth in the feat I showed didn't exactly have an open way back into reality, he was actively trying to stop Daniel from being able to leave, so just 'closing the gap' between the real world and the mirror dimension shouldn't really impact TAT's ability to affect it. The gap being open for crossbow bolts (magical or otherwise) to fly through just makes it a lot easier.

The Earls meanwhile aren’t planning on attacking anyone from within Emma’s Dream World, so there’s no real danger on their part.

Even when reading the feats I gotta admit I have no idea what's going on with that dream world. I assumed that based on this:

The same sounds of surprise rang out around him.

The expedition team was lying in the middle of the forest again. Seeing that the Stele of Evaluation had flickered off, he realized what must have happened.

The expedition team had unknowingly fallen asleep and dreamed.

There's still a physical body in reality (kinda similar to that baby's power from JoJo's part 3 if you've seen that) where they dream but the things that happen in that dream are real. If that's not the case and it functions in a similar vein to a reality marble, I'd be interested in seeing how that interacts with Archer covering the entire area with Sherwood Forest.

Q: There are multiple characters with Reality Marbles in FGO. What happens if they use them at the same time?

Nasu: If the opponent’s output is higher, a Reality Marble can’t be used. If both are equal and use them at the same time, I think the two worlds would resist each other. As the RM does not move from the position it is used (does not move with the user), the users have to decide whether to draw the opponent in, step into the opponent’s world, or just wait until both RMs die out.

We know that two reality marbles can only really coexist if they're both equal in might, but one is a full servant's noble phantasm reality marble, and the other is coming from a dragoon, who are objectively weaker than an actual servant. If Emma's ability functions as a reality marble, they should, I think, just get dragged into Sherwood Forest and be exposed to TAT. If it doesn't, there should still be a presence left in reality to attack with TAT. Either way, I don't see how they avoid TAT without being a reality marble-esque effect that isn't treated by the same rules as a reality marble, but even in that case as I showed above I'm at least still arguing that TAT can impact those that are in a different dimension so long as that dimension overlaps with TAT's range.

Regarding Pioneer of the Stars, as far as I can tell Orpheus doesn’t have any intrinsic resistance to transmutation.

You're right in that Orpheus doesn't have any intrinsic resistance to transmutation, but the main ability of his EX rank NP is transmutation, and I think by feats Orpheus' transmutation is far more potent and wide-ranging than Canute's. POTS is kinda hard to debate against because there's not really a feat attached to it to analyse, but ordinarily, there's just no way that TCFTN's transmutation is going to be able to glass Na Einai. Even if it threatens to, as I showed in the church fight, Na Einai can split itself off into different parts, and those parts function as Orpheus just as much as any other, so in the case that TCFTN does start to overpower Na Einai on the basis of POTS (which should necessitate a use in and of itself), it shouldn't be able to do it fast enough for Orpheus to be unable to split off so that only a 'section' of his mass gets glassed. A section that he can then just eat to gain the mass back.

Remember back to the first use of POTS, which was explicitly against TUS to allow him to enter the mirror world in the first place. This exact same circumstance is playing out again with the same ability interaction, so there should, logically, need to be a POTS use to get him in there. That should leave him with one use left, and I think it should take more than one POTS use to clear the conditions necessary to glass Orpheus.

Let me also mention that Canute himself does not dictate the usage of POTS. The odds of a fight beginning with two back-to-back uses of POTS seem incredibly unlikely, especially when we're really just underlings of the main threat that's Moriarty. I would assume that POTS would be most likely to be used against Moriarty personally, instead of the remaining two use cases being instantly used up in the first seconds of an engagement.

Robin:

It's more the latter as I understand it, but given that Robin is currently being boosted by a command seal I'm confident that Orpheus would not find it so easy to break out of the space with living dimension.

He is boosted by a command seal, but that command seal is incredibly broad. "Tonight we shall be victorious" is an order that shouldn't have a particularly drastic effect on the abilities of Robin. If the command seal was focused on increasing the power of the reality marble, then sure, it'd help a lot, but it's really no different from an order of "win this fight," which tends not to accomplish much in boosting a servant's abilities.

A dog without a home has its own intentions as well. At the very least, it can gaze upon that back, the nobility of which it can never match—

“My Servant. I, Waver Velvet, use a Command Seal to give this order.”

The youth raised his tightly clenched right hand, displaying the Command Seals that were as yet unused. These were the shackles that bound the Heroic Spirit before his eyes, the greatest obstacle that blocked his despotic road.

“Rider, you must take the final victory.”

This was not a restriction, only a judgment that was a matter of course. Therefore, Waver gave the order. His heart was light as he watched the first of the Command Seals unleash its prana and disappear.

“Again I use a Command Seal to give this order—Rider, you must seize the Grail.”

The second Command Seal also vanished; he felt a thread of pain in his heart for this light. If he stayed his hand now, there would still be time—this meaningless confusion swept across his heart. It was a fool’s hesitation not worth mentioning.

“Lastly, I use a Command Seal to give this order.”

Waver resolutely raised the hand on which the last Command Seal was drawn, looking at the King who rode on the horse’s back. In that instant, Waver could meet his eyes without the slightest show of timidity. This was his last and only glory as a Master.

“Rider, you must seize the whole world. Failure is not allowed.”

Swiftly liberated, the third holy mark radiated hidden prana; summoning a whirlwind, it disappeared. Waver the magus would probably never again have the chance to perform such tremendous thaumaturgy in his life. But even thus, he felt from the bottom of his heart that this was the most satisfying action of his life. He had no regret whatsoever. In compensation for losing everything, this was enough.

I don't really want to bring up Gilgamesh for obvious reasons, but three command seals of similar scope as the one Antonio used were used on Iskandar, and they ultimately did very little. Using a command seal, particularly one with a "win this fight" condition, isn't the biggest boost ever or anything.

If that command seal is being argued as the difference between the reality marble being broken and not, I would argue that the reality marble would be broken.

It's not impossible, but more likely it would just get crushed into itself. It's obviously not exactly the same but Fushiguro couldn't maintain his large-scale rabbit escape for exactly that reason.

As you mentioned, Na Einai is all Orpheus. It being omnidirectional, one part of Orpheus should always be moving in the right direction. With Great Sage assisting with the understanding of this weird ass ability, it shouldn't take long at all for Orpheus to figure out how this space operates (if he hasn't already broken it). Even then, Archer and the Merry Men are going to be forced into moving in ways counterintuitive to the power imposed on themselves to stay out of TAT's range during this, as it's going to be undulating wildly in accordance with the movements of Na Einai.

On that note, let me mention, TAT works based on a range reaching out from where the user is. With all of Na Einai being Orpheus, it's quite clear that the range of TAT will be increased as well. So, you know, good luck avoiding TAT while following the rules in the very brief period of time it'll take Great Sage to figure it out.

If the demon's magic is different to Orpheus' then sure.

It is different, yes. That was part of the church post where I said that even if the demon survives Moran's NP, if it wipes out all of Na Einai, Orpheus would die regardless. They're different beings. On that note, if the demon is within the reality marble, it should be corrupting the entire marble at a pretty fast pace. As shown in the church fight that I've linked to, the demon corrupts any and all magic that comes into contact with it, and the marble should be no exception. Of course, within the confines of this scenario, I'm sure it wouldn't corrupt the abilities of far stronger NPCs, but Robin is not one of those characters. The reality marble should be taking some pretty hefty damage from the demon's mere presence within it, not even mentioning TAT actively trying to break it on top of that.

Other cursed techniques that rely on marking targets become enhanced by a domain expansion to the point of marking individual cells and I would expect a similar improvement for Love Rendezvous.

I know that you said that Sherwood Forest is the effects of Love Rendezvous as a reality marble (or domain expansion, idk what wording you used in your sign-up build), but I don't think that would necessitate you gaining access to the buff of a separate character that's unrelated to Kirara. Also, under the assumption that this is a B-rank NP, cellular level control should be under matter manip, no? That should be A and above rank, not B. Heightened by your going on to argue attraction at a micro-level causing a body to violently collapse. Well, if it's ruled that cellular manip =/= matter manip (or that this reality marble is A-rank, I suppose) then that's fine, but I always thought it was just, you know, a pretty bad version of matter manip.

If not then it would just be constantly reapplied by how I understand it

This I also want to mention. Not in regards to the demon, but in regards to Orpheus himself. As I've previously shown, Na Einai eats magic. It would nigh-instantly be eating the marks that are applied to it. Yeah, they could be reapplied immediately afterwards, but then they'd be eaten again. This constant de and re-applying of the mark should, if nothing else, seriously lessen the magnetic attraction that Orpheus is feeling. Just based on this alone he should be relatively stable in place assuming it's being eaten and applied at the same rate, but this isn't taking into account Na Einai's eating of the forest itself, which should result in a constant growth regardless of the pull occurring around him. In such a situation, it likely wouldn't take too long for Archer and the merry men to run out of places to go that can avoid TAT/Na Einai.

Also, removing the marks from Archer and his other teammates would just make it easier for Orpheus in this case to approach. Probably not the best of ideas. This is all just Orpheus, though. Archer is also going to be needing to focus on Moran, all the summons, Ba'al, and keeping a strong eye out for that pesky Gilles who has a track record of targeting masters, of which Archer's is here in the same space as him. He's going to be a very busy boy. Also maybe Lycaon, depending on what's going on with the dream world when Sherwood Forest activates, but that's for Naronu to figure out.

Not much to discuss here just covering what Gilles will have access to and his positioning and some minor contentions. For the sake of review I will remind everyone that Gilles and the hounds will have thought acceleration and precog courtesy of Moriarty so that helps us on top of the mind link we have with each other, so if any one of us have some kind of gambit or attack that may risk Friendly Fire, we can communicate it and see how it works out. It helps that precog goes really well with his weakness detection

Karnak, for one, his weakness detection also applies to logic in of itself.

No Caption Provided

He's broken down plans and strategies simply by seeing the flaws in them. Like when he helped a corporate company develop a new plan because he saw the flaws in how it was being ran.

No Caption Provided

Or when he foresaw that the alliance between the X-Men and The Inhumans was going to fall apart.

No Caption Provided

If that isn't obscure enough, lets talk about Karnak in Inhumanity #1 where he used information that pertains to the inhuman tragedy to play detective and essentially map out the future and why Black Bolt and Maximus could have been the masterminds of the incident.

All this along with future sight guarantees Gilles can and will take any logical decision as needed and can adapt as necessary. So he isn't committed to one idea at any given moment.

If need be she can even use herflame armourorwater swordwhich would reduce its effects of it even further.

Her flame armor only protects her not her allies, and the water sword is untested against fire abilities or explosions in general, which makes sense since Erza's go to armor in the anime and manga against fire is the flame empress armor. Cutting through the explosion would not protect your team unless there are feats of her cutting explosions in such a way it disperses it perfectly and wouldn't still engulf your team. The explosion would still come out of nowhere and cover most of the villa so someone is getting hit or disrupted no matter what.

I'm not clear on his exact position, but if he intends to swoop down immediately following this, he'll presumably get caught in the Forest and ergo Will's AoE attack.

Precognition and weakness detection should help with that.

Robin & Antonio:

Assuming he doesn't get interrupted, Robin is going to drag everyone into his reality marble, which will be helped by the boost he is receiving from Antonio's command seal.

Unfortunately, this command seal is relatively vague. And with the nature of how they work, which both of you should know this doesn't exactly lend itself to specifically boosting Robin's reality marble being formed or even dragging everyone in. And without a means to defend from The Equalizer, I don't see this situation happening. Regardless, even if it did, you just as quickly risk distorting and warping all of Canute and Elligatia's attacks back at them, considering they would also be marked. And if you would begin arguing well Robin just doesn't touch them, I'd then question how easily you're touching the Hounds considering the slew of attacks you have to go through to reach them between the combined AOE from Rider and his earls alongside the inherent AOE from Moran's mana burst and The Equalizer.

In short, the way I say it, the safer route is to actually have this be negated, lest you risk your own allies damaging themselves greatly simply by how the ability works. You didn't really say much else about the Hounds in other posts so I'll leave it there for the next phase.

Canute & The Earls:

I won’t address EoTD because that is indeed dependent on rules and the CS/Pioneer/Crest supporting Canute. But while Marksmanship A can be intercepted using a summon to do so isn’t a good answer for They Came From the North. For one he canbounce his blasts off reflections(which should be mind-numbingly easy with Marksmanship A) to slip around defenses. More damningly though, Canute can easily spawn his attacks too close to Ba’al (or Orpheus) for Soul Eater/Chimera to help. In fact if his attack is in danger of a block he’s just going toconnect to Ba'al's eyesand attack from there.

You later speak on you will just casually put Thorkell in front of ranged attack to intercept who is a by-all-means a summon as well as mention how Moran's different shots would be costly. So I'm not sure why you are decrying a similar strategy of both Chimera and Soul Eater along with their attacks in front of them as well as the massive AOE Leviatahan's freezing wave will encompass (which team Archer never seemed to address) as well as arguing Canute doing like three different things at once while still maintaining the base cost of residing inside the mirror dimension. If anyone is using a bunch of costly mana too quickly here by shifting tactics after already firing a single big blast, its Canute. Furthermore, I agree on Marksmanship's capabilities, but the nature of your attack doesn't lend itself towards "bouncing multiple blasts off reflections". This is what you said no?

You've already used mana going into the MW, and more I'm sure firing the blast so switching tactics to try and enter Ba'al's eyes which he ultimately does not have any is a wasteful move:

No Caption Provided

I’d be concerned about this if I had any intention of fighting in the same dimensional space as Moran. But Canute and Emma are both taking the fights to other dimensions. I haven’t seen anything from the second form of Moran’s mana burst to suggest it would stop someone from pulling one of his teammates into another dimension. It would have to stop magical energy functions altogether, which is not something that can be done at A rank.

And that is precisely what his mana burst is, so I'm not sure why you think it's been lowered. He was never targeted with Espionage. And the only divinity active is Ba'al. Where this logic is coming from I'm not entirely sure.

I’m unsure what attacks Moran is planning to spawn within mana zone. Spamming full rifle shots seems very costly. While the Earls wouldn’t be especially bothered by his low-power shots. The Earls survivability is addressed in the response to Gilles.

Then you missed the point of what Mana Zone is, allowing one to take control of ambient mana and use mana in the environment that exceeds their own capacity without draining their own reserves. Those were all in the scans provided.

Lycaon:

Passivity is a very, very bad response on Lycaon’s part. In fact his actions thus far are very close to what the Earls were hoping for.

I'm not exactly sure how you interpreted a bait and counterattack as passivity, but alright. But as far as Emma's magic, Lycaon doesn't have to do anything about that between Ba'al and Moran having near complete control of the mana in this space.

Thorkell is huge though. How is that a similar mass to Lycaon in order to be switched? You had a better target with Lycaon and Eadric or Eric? Also again I hate to be a broken record, but a lot of these counter plans aren't working under the Equalizer. As far as from what I can tell, the earls would just be scattered by the air itself. A lot of the earl's plans seem to be doing 10 different things at once to counter just one or two actions from the Hounds. Not only does this not fully appreciate their conditions under Black Moon and the Equalizer but also the mana costs, something you're clearly aware of given you tried to point it out for my side. Even should you have some measure of success, just this opening phase plan is going to leave most of you drained severely.

Thoughts and Verdicts:

Divinity:

Ba'al has the best divinity, nothing's changed with either his divinity or the anti-divinity suits used by the alliance. So the effects are taken into consideration.

Command Seals and their usage:

Basic assumption is that both servants aren't fighting their command seals, which makes even the vague, unclear, and altogether unuseful command seals of Antonio and Elligatia work perfectly fine:

Even vague orders to win that are absolutely agreed upon by both parties can have a great effect in amplifying the Servant's energy so long as they are aspired towards victory. It can allow for a Noble Phantasm to exceed its normal maximum output and perform actions beyond its normal scope like distorting cause and effect to surely hit the target

While I understand both Darth and Banter's hang-ups on the topic, the vast majority of the time servants and masters aren't perfectly aligned or perfectly stupid enough to fulfill that condition. And the one time they might have been, well, we could be here all year counting the number of command seals Iskandar would have needed to beat Gilgamesh.

I'm as shocked at this as anyone, but poorly worded, vague command seals work if the servant's aspired towards that goal. So they're gonna provide a "great effect in amplifying the Servant's energy" here.

Elligatia and Moriaty's Crests:

Neither Elligatia nor Moriarty's crests failed due to any experimentation.

It's also not Tyrannous Lord Susanoo,. No shot is that getting put in the hands of a player. Remember, the crest was changed, not completed.

Instead it's a more familiar crest, the sword of the first high king of Ireland, who upon losing his arm gave it to Lugh to wield in his stead. The Whisperer, The Retaliator, and The Answerer are just some of its many names. Thousands of years ago there was an experiment carried out by a certain individual around a pathological method of passing down magecraft from the fast-ending Age of Gods. A small family in Ireland continued to pass down this legendary weapon, but they were deceived for another ring template was made. A perfect duplicate built over time by the decaying flesh of the Fraga family. A template that can easily be applied to a crest in a similar style, seamlessly overwriting it like a cancer cell overwriting the body's genetic code.

Anyways, Orpheus is getting Fragarach'd. Double activating NPs is as much of a trump card as it'll get. So the question becomes, how does Fragarach interact with Na Einai Os Ena? We'll talk about that in a future section.

Pioneer of The Stars:

Pioneer of the Stars is an ability that represents the turning points in human history, the ability of some legendary figures to surpass those things that limit humanity and create a new outcome. It's just not going to activate to do the same thing as before.

The Mirror World and The Living Dimension:

Honestly I'm on Orpheus' side with his ability to resist being pulled into the Mirror Dimension (Banter if you scale to or above time manip one more time in an argument you're getting DQed immediately). I'm less convinced around the offensive aspect, I definitely wouldn't apply Daniel's ability to affect the real world while in his Living Dimension to any other dimension. Especially one like the Mirror Dimension, which isn't exactly something people break into too often.

Sherwood Forest, Na Einai Os Ena, and the nature of Reality Marbles:

So Na Einai/TAT go off, then are rewound by Fragarach but Orpheus is left in a state of "mid-attack" and its natural enemy is something that remains alive after it has been killed, something Kiseia is. I'm unsure of the exact interaction here so I'm going to be a bitch and go the middle ground. Orpheus takes Critical Damage before turning back into goop and using TAT again for later stuff (since he's still very reliant on that for his later arguments of defense for what the alliance is putting out). So those are at double cost.

Onto Sherwood Forest and "filling up" a reality marble. Realistically that's not a possibility in any short period of time. These aren't domain expansions despite the similarities. The size of Sherwood Forest isn't limited by the aoe of the rank, it's a big old forest. Sure, Orpheus could fill up Ionioi Hetairoi, but it's not happening any time soon.

Lycaon, Moran, Roselle La Grazia, and blocking Marksmanship:

To start, Roselle is totally still illusions and dreams, it's not a reality marble or anything like that. The best comic allegory would be taking the fight to the Astral Plane. I also don't really consider Aria's intangibility as something that could protect him from Roselle, Exploding Patience who was a complete shitter (of his own doing) was similarly intangible but high level magic from the empire (such as the Spear of Purity) was easily able to bypass that, taking into account the mental aspect of Emma's assault and the fact that it's not considered under the Mind's Eye bypass.

Secondly, after clarification it's clear that Moran was intending to sap the mana out of attacks, but the idea behind mana sapping was that it targets people, not attacks. Otherwise that'd be power negation which isn't A. Normally there would be nowhere near the amount of Mana in the atmosphere for the proposed plan to work, but in this case he's basically just directly taking it from Moriarty.

Lastly, there's the whole Marksmanship thing, which was poorly worded and was not intended to indicate that someone could simply stand in front of the projectiles to tank them. Marksmanship A can shoot around somebody in the way, it's when the projectiles are destroyed that it was impossible for Huang Zhong.

Other Stuff:

Yeah there wasn't really any... defense... against Leviathan from Archer or Antonio. I assume Marian is supposed to handle it as she's the go to for the other elemental offenses.

Erza can certainly cut through explosions, but this is the lesser of two evils in comparison to Leviathan's attack. It's still going to hurt given the level of magecraft.

Gilles I'm not sure how he plans to be in any sort of melee and not sucked into the reality marble, if he's relying on weakness detection it'd probably just tell him not to be there. I'm going to go with that as the second post was pretty clear.

Cellular level manipulation of matter is matter manip, targetting a specific cell isn't in my opinion.

There wasn't a ton for dodging Moran except for putting the Earls between em.

TLDR: Results

  • Rider is charged for They Came From The North (Ability) and They Came From The North (Attack) [68] it is still active
  • Orpheus is charged for both Noble Phantasms at double cost [128], both are still active

Dissociatio Mentis

What... just happened?

With my brain working as hard as it ever had it didn't take long for a theory to present itself, but still, that... that was not possible. It shouldn't be possible, but my mana circuit is damaged, spread throughout my form. If I was able to puke blood in this form, I would be doing so, but even if not, the flesh shakes and shivers, something foreign irrevocably touching the whole of it. In accordance with this unfamiliar damage, I can feel the drain of my mana rapidly increase. At this rate, it matters not if I kill the others, I shall surely die regardless.

"No."

I can't die. Not here, not now, when my dream is so close.

The reality marble shatters. Not of my own doing, but we are thrust back onto the island all the same. I need... mana, I cannot run out. I cannot, I cannot, I cannot.

"I won't allow it! This is my body, I will not give it up! I will not go back! I WILL HAVE HER AGAIN, NO MATTER THE COST!"

A split comes through the centre of the mass, dividing it into two pieces, and then, in an instant, one of them disappears from the island.

Orpheus' most pressing concern right now, I believe, at least, is mana. A cost of 128 having been spent, with a full tank of 150 going into this fight, leaves him with 22 mana left at a running cost of 80 per minute. The maths is not mathing in his favour at present. As such, although the remaining half is still up there on the island still using both NPs as they're both needed, the other half is going to get some more mana (or try to, anyway).

His first port of call for getting some of that juicy mana is going to be the city below us. Instead of spending the time to fall there (it might be more than a minute tbh, idk how high up we are) as was the potential case prior to reality marble occurring, he's going to be more forceful in getting down there, by which I mean he's using his teleportation item. He's teleporting a fairly big mass of flesh down there, but David's teleportation can teleport a fair amount of weight so that at least shouldn't be an issue. The rules for restoring mana from living people are that it:

"occurs instantly upon their death. However, you must be present to collect the mana, and you must have the intention to kill with for the purpose of regaining mana."

In this case (if there's even people still in the city. If there's not then Orphy will be dead within the minute regardless), Orpheus should be meeting every requirement, so that shouldn't be an issue. I'll repost the mana table, but in general, there should be anywhere from 2 through to as much as 50 per human, likely averaging ~5 per human with some spikes here and there. I've posted a multitude of feats regarding Na Einai's ability to spread, so it's going to be spreading out to its maximum length within this city (large town, which should cover most of it, if not a big chunk, idk how big this city is compared to a large town) quite quickly, eating every single human within that area. If nothing else, it should stop him from dying to mana drain. If there's nobody in the city, then uhh, he's had a good run.

What happens in the city, as has been stated, isn't really any concern to my opponents, though. Back up on the island, Orpheus will just... do the same stuff he's been doing. Na Einai will still be there, covering the island and stuff, as will TAT. As the reality marble is broken, all of team archer at least should be within TAT's range even if rider and eli aren't. I'd also like to remind that TAT has a mana drain to it, but that's only at 20/min so it's not going to be doing an insane amount to help here, but it should slow down the death via mana drain for a bit, at least.

Seizing the Opportunity

No Caption Provided

What the fuck?

I’ve seen master’s crest in use, against the dragon. That’s not what it looks like. Did something change?

But –

I won’t pass up this chance.

“Master! Orpheus is at his limit! Use your crest one last time!”

As for me,

Within the realm of mirrors, the air begins to shimmer. A great Viking ship appears once more. Canute raises his hand in an open palm, then brings it down as he closes it into a fist.

The hour of the wolf is here

By the fake right hand

No sinner is safe

Falsus Apocalypsis!

Power surges through the ship, and a storm of invisible blades fires from the hull, flying through the mirrors that dot the realm, and exiting the reflections on the battlefield.

Canute is summoning his mount and activating its Noble Phantasm, Falsus Apocalypsis. This debuted against Nemesis but I'll give a refresher. The attack is a storm of invisible blades fired as projectiles. The maximum number of blades is unconfirmed but the attack Canute is using is Infinite Phantom Blades, which is an upgrade from Thousand and Ten Thousand Blades. So more than 10,000 projectiles at the very least.

The barrage of swords is quite powerful, implied to be significantly damaging to Guren (based on one of them cutting his cheek and he his admission he's dead if he spends energy trying to detect them all, along with his choice to avoid them with a substitution.

Scans in reverse
Scans in reverse

Guren's durability being notable because he endured Mika's suicide attack which launched dozens of building (Guren when we next see him a few chapters later)

Scans in reverse

At C+++ rank, Falsus Apocalypsis is town level. The attacks also inhibit healing factors, enough to kill vampires who survive with their heads cut off.

The blades are going to be sent through the mirrors and fly out the reflections on the battlefield to rain down on the enemy combatants. Canute has Marksmanship A, which is being applied to all these swords. Marksmanship A has shown to make projectiles weave around and hit multiple targets to great effect:

Rider stands up in the saddle, and faces the duo.

"I am Khutulun, Princess of Ten Thousand Horses, the blood of the Great Khan flows through my veins. I will not fall here to a traitor and an old general from a conquered nation.

Ride with me to the world’s end my fallen suitors

There is no foe I cannot defeat

Minii Yertonts"

Archer and Assassin find themselves on a grassy steppe, atop a small hill. In the sky a massive pulsing sun shines with a fearsome red light. Rider stands across from them, drawing the bow from her back. Both servants suddenly become aware that the ground has begun to shake as shouts and screams can be heard in the distance.

Across the horizon a row of black appears. Ten thousand Mongol riders charge the servants.

“We should run.”

Assassin moves to flee, but Archer stands tall.

“They wish for a contest of archery? So be it.”

Ten thousand and one bows fire at once, the arrows blocking out the red sun. Archer draws back his greatbow. Ten arrows fly into the sky and not a single arrow reaches the pair. Another shot and the line of calvary begin to collapse. A horn is sounded and they begin to wheel away from the two servants.

“Mounted archers are unbeatable as long as you fulfill two separate conditions. Firstly you must be able to attack before your opponents can properly respond, secondly you must be able to retreat out of your opponents range. There is no mounted archer that can meet those conditions against me.”

Huang Zhong draws back his bow and fires another shot destroying another section of the horde.

“It appears you underestimated us. And that will be your downfall.”

- Day 9, Afternoon

So this is applied to over 10,000 projectiles which will chase down and hit each enemy.

With this said, the main purpose of the attack is killing Lycaon, who is asleep and defenseless. Everything else is a bonus. But the swords should be able to target Soul Eater, as well as Ba'al himself if he at any point leaves the higher dimension. They will also target Orpheus, and should damage his flesh form. He may heal from this, but keeping up the pressure and forcing him to continue using his Noble Phantasms is valuable at this stage. Canute has no way to detect Gilles and Moran to aim his attacks at them so they're safe.

Reminder that the swords are invisible. This is of no consequence to Ba'al who has Mind's Eye (and definitely of no consequence to Lycaon who's taking a nap), but if the Soul Eater doesn't share Ba'al's senses it's going to make it harder to detect the attacks.

"London Bridge is Falling Down"

London Bridge is falling down

Falling down, falling down

London Bridge is falling down

My fair lady

Ignoring all rules of time and space, a void opens around his charges and begins to absorb each and every blade.

“Right now, I was more worried for Shion and our other allies. It had happened right after I warned them to stay on guard, so Soei, Shion, and Ranga were just barely able to take evasive action. But they were being threatened by Charybdis’s overwhelming supply of scales—hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands—being shot out in all directions like high-caliber bullets. They varied in size, but even the tiniest were several inches in diameter. Take one unguarded, and it’d no doubt be even more disastrous for you than a sword slash.

There were tens of thousands of them raining down at incredible speed. There was no place to run. The so-called Tempest Scale worked at a far broader range than even Hellflare, which was capable of mowing down entire landscapes.

“Ngh, I can’t dodge them all. Ranga and I have Shadow Motion, but…”

“Dodge them? What a childish thing to suggest. This won’t be enough to kill me!” Shion snickered at Soei’s assessment.”

“Faced with the terrifying Tempest Scale, not one dared to give up on themselves. It could be called reckless, but to me, I couldn’t have asked for anything else.

They were all ready for this.

“You people really are a bunch of idiots, you know that? You could at least count on me now, of all times.”

I decided now was the time to speak.

“““?!”””

All three froze in surprise. I flew in front of them, raising my left arm against the advancing scales.

“““Sir Rimuru!!”””

I could hear them shouting my name, a mixture of shock and joy in their voices. I didn’t respond, head faced forward to handle what must be done.

Which was…

“Consume them all, Glutton!!”

With my call, the insatiable Glutton within me stirred. The results unfolded in a single moment. I imagine not too many knew what had happened. The wall of innumerable scales that loomed over them just a moment ago had now neatly disappeared.”

Tensura Vol. 3 (Pre Beelezebub,)

His voice can continue to be heard, singing in joyous song

"London Bridge is falling down

Falling down, falling down

London Bridge is falling down

I am here lady"

"Dear heroes, dear humans no matter the circumstance, no matter the hour you continue to fight and kill each other. Such a sad state of affairs. And you've even reduced yourselves to this. I can take it no longer. Come, dear friends and allies. Let me educate you personally on this sordid state of affairs"

Gilles was kind of annoyed. Sure he was itching for a fight, but he had to compromise a bunch of his ideas since he wasn't as prepared as he wanted to be. A bunch of people seem to be destroyed or injured in the initial chaos so he can't complain too much. His goal now was to finish off stragglers and restore some mana. He senses his Master James Moriarty walking onto the battlefield, and flies down from the air via his hang glider towards the battlefield to join him. He was in the sky the whole time while cloaked which is why Gilles never got caught up in the mess.

No Caption Provided

All while still cloaked by Presence Concealment. He calls out to his remaining soldiers to be ready for battle, with the aim to kill any straggling masters and to distract any servants that may get in their way via Gilles Magecraft. They will be equipped with Mysterio Suits identical to Gilles' to supplement them in battle. So all the bullshit you guys normally deal with as far as my magecraft is concerned will be spread across my E Rank Tactics.

The guys will be jury rigged with the many poisons and chemicals he has at his disposal which all includes the kind of stuff that affects those with trained resistances.

Just like everything else he makes, if all else fails he has them rigged to explode as a last resort to further spread chemicals.

As Gilles De Rais and his Soldiers surround and walk alongside The Professor, Gilles while cloaked lands next to the Professor crouched down with respect knowing the Professor could see and hear him.

Not Dead Yet:

No Caption Provided

"The hell took you so long, old man? I shouldn't have expected much from Victorian-era hearing aids to help you hear the commotion."

Antonio scowls at the delayed appearance of the Napoleon of Crime as he re-plants his blade within his body:

“I’ll admit it’s gonna be a little tough to take you down,” Shichika responded. “Since I have no other choice─I’ll do my best impression of my sickly sister.”

“Huh?”

“You may be inexhaustible, and you may be invincible─”

As if to catch him unawares, Shichika broke off midsentence and darted forward─leaping to the right side of Uron. Then. “So maybe you won’t die after one fatal blow─but what about a couple hundred?"

“Whuh…”

“A medley of Kyotoryu strike moves─from the Hinageshi to the Jinchoge.”

Just as Nanami had once done to Shichika, in their battle at Seiryoin Gokenji Temple─Shichika laid into Uron, pummeling his invincible body with two hundred and seventy-two strikes, unleashed at him from every direction.

Though unlike Nanami, Shichika was not able to use Harlequin Butterfly, and since he pulled none of his punches─each landed with incredible force. As a result, Uron died two hundred and seventy-two times over.

- Katanagatari Volume 12 Chapter 4

While I've shown Akuto the Eel in the context of Nanmi Yasuri, a frail, sickly child, in the hands of a healthy person like Uron, it reaches the heights of its ability to grant immortality. Despite Shichicka being massively stronger than Uron, more than enough to kill him in a single go, Akuto made it so that he could survive despite being killed over 200 times. This type of healing factor means that the severe damage that Antonio took can be cleaned up like nothing ever happened, all in a matter of moments.

After the wounds are promptly healed, Antonio slides the blade out of his chest & towards Archer, so that he may also be returned to fighting form.

"So what's the occasion, geezer? I'd say you are here to watch our demise, but considering I'm still alive, your posse is doing a really shit job at things."

I mean for god's sake, you're an assassin, killing masters is supposed to be your entire shtick, yet you & a veritable army can't seem to finish off a half-ass like me after how many attempts? So from one-bit player to another, I was talking to the out-of-date Mackerel; still need one last answer from him and all, so do be a gentleman and wait your turn."

Antonio spits on the floor and bites his left thumb as he gives Moriarty his undivided glare, Gilles' soldier being nought but a petty distraction to his eyes.

"Pouvez-vous mourir pour moi s'il vous plaît?

Baron Gilles De Rais took his position, and told his men to get ready to swing their blades, and then punched Antonio in half, his weakpoints exposed for all to see, a bloody dripping mess. Turning him into nothing but a puddle of blood for Von Herder and any such servants to clean up later.

No Caption Provided

After landing the critical blow against Antonio, Gilles De Rais' Soldats rush into the battlefield activating the magecraft prepared for them using a combination of the holographic projectors to cover Gilles repositioning and releasing an explosive burst of poisonous chemicals, designed to paralyze or disorient their targets.

"FOR THE NEW WORLD!!!!!!"

"FOR THE RENAISSANCE!!!!!"

After taking down Antonio, Gilles will acquire mana from his being to replenish himself, with his men covering him and distracting our guests. With weakness detection, thought acceleration and precognition, it should make repositioning for another attack more than possible. And once Gilles Mana reserves go up, that's when the real carnage begins. But in the meantime, the battlefield will definitely go into chaos once Antonio eats shit.

"Alright hounds, I imagine, you'll pick up my slack? We have cleaning to do."

Do or Die

No Caption Provided

Robin was still, in the brief calm that followed this final battle's climatic beginning. His body ached and groaned, and his armour cracked, and though his master's blade helped to alleviate his injuries, several of his and the King's soldiers had not been so lucky. But there was no time for fear, distress, or even anger. In this time and this place, he was focused on his singular mission. He watched as the Professor once again offered his platitudes, even as his minions rallied their might and as the crippled bard slinked away to cause unknown chaos. But the Archer did not act. He was waiting, watching, for the opportune moment. And as the Frenchman's soldiers drew their blades, it came, a flash of the future in his mind's eye.

A flash of the incoming future, Antonio splattered across the lawn like an impressionist painting. His senses sharpened and time almost seemed to slow down. It was too late to save Antonio, Gilles' fist was already beginning to compress the soft tissue in his chest. But the situation could yet be salvaged. Though most of his Merry's merried no more, one still remained. One still stood on his feet, watching. One man had been watching his Uncle and learning from him his whole life and afterlife, and in this final conflict, he would not close his eyes even for a single moment.

What I am going to attempt is a bit of a doozy, so stick with me. Marian might be dead but the echoes of Direct Drive Zone still linger, especially for fighters who pick things up as quickly and easily as these two do, so I'm going to act under the assumption that they'll still be moving in sync regardless of communication. So, firstly and almost simultaneously; Will can see the now attacking Gilles with PD A and he is going to flick some of his blood at him by using his Noble Phantasm Draw, that being FTG. Since Antonio is marked and Gilles is basically half inside of him at this point, the idea is that he'll flick his wrist and teleport his blood in motion so that it lands on Gilles. Robin at this time (or I guess just after) will be teleporting Antonio into the pocket dimension that resides within the ring he made some advancements ago. These can grab anything within a metre and he's standing right next to Antonio so he doesn't really need to move, just think. In an ideal world that would happen before Antonio gets injured but that's just not feasible under these circumstances so he'll probably have a hole in his chest at this point, but hopefully at least won't be in two separate pieces.

But that's fine. Since the blood of a servant is just magical energy and FTG allows one to teleport anything their chakra (magical energy here) is touching, that means Will can now teleport Gilles freely. So, with a quick look to coordinate with Robin-

No Caption Provided

He'll teleport Gilles to Antonio as Antonio is teleported out, effectively swapping their positions. So now Gilles is in the ring and Antonio is bleeding out on the floor. Great. The Soldats are gonna be coming out now but we're not going to worry about that for a moment since iirc Mind's Eye should let Robin see through the illusions at least and Presence Detection should do the same for Will.

At this point, Robin is going to shoot a bullet at Will, for which he will reinforce his body with Ki and deflect it in the direction of Orpheus' goop form down below, marking it as he does so, before Robin tosses Will both the ring and a ruby bead. Robin will then turn and stab the healy sword thing back into the hopefully-not-dead Antonio to try and help him before turning to deal with the Soldats with his Noble Phantasm Prince of Thieves but that's not really all that important at this time. Will meanwhile, is going to wait until the bullet gets close to Orpheus before teleporting both the ring and the bead in front of the path of action of the bullet. That way the bullet should break the gem and detonate it just before the ring is broken, which will bring Gilles back out into this dimension. You'll have to ask Naronu what the exploding gem will do but I envision bad times for Gilles and Orpheus both, assuming the plan makes it anywhere near this far. Entirely possible Moriarty says no but hey, you can't say I didn't try :)

When Life Gives You Lemons...

Wh... what? What? That's not supposed to happen. Ho-

“Master! Orpheus is at his limit! Use your crest one last time!”

Rider's words take Elligatia out of her haze. Something had very obviously happened, and Orpheus was very clearly at a point at which he was struggling. What it was, Elligatia's couldn't quite tell, but she also didn't quite care. Half a second before unleashing it again, however, came a too terribly familiar voice. In a nursery rhyme. It stopped her in her tracks for a bit, but then she steeled herself.

Now me personally, I hardly get what Fragarach is. Read the wiki, had it explained, but y'all should expect this from me at this point. What I do know is that in-character, Elligatia is not passing up this opportunity. Whether there's 1 charge on the crest left like there would've been with Cook, whether there's more, whether this affects multiple opponents like Cook did or whether it doesn't, however the hey it works since it was changed, Elligatia's first and foremost move upon seeing Moriarty come out and take action is to activate that crest like her life depends on it and hope it does something to the man trying to change the world order.

A very, very close secondary target is Orpheus, and the rest of the Hounds third. If multiple targets are allowed (and I don't even think they are based on what I read, but just in case) then that would be ideal. But, from the Mirror Dimension, that's what Elligatia is doing.

As for Elligatia, Moriarty isn’t launching an attack. Nor is she being targeted. So in terms of her new crest, a response to a defensive maneuver wouldn’t really activate its Answer mechanic. But that’s just my personal belief. neither she or he would know that in game, so his response if anything would be the same as above. If it ultimately doesn’t matter because this is more of an OOC discussion on how abilities interact feel free to ignore it. 😌

The Last Servant:

“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”

̶ Sun Tzu: The Art of War

Some individuals simply are blessed from above, such is the feeling Lancer felt when she approached the Crudelis liasion with the intent of purchasing an invisibility device only to learn that he not only had just acquired one, but it was of a higher caliber than she dreamed was possible to find on short notice. Armed with her new trump card she followed her eyes to properly dispose of the defenseless master only to learn of Moriarty's final play. With the disappearance of her master she only had one course of action which was to get on that island. Between her veil and Presence Concealment B she'd acquired it's functionally impossible to detect her. But she lacked a way of reaching the island in the sky while wearing her veil, so she paid a visit to the only individual in Aviteixo she believed might have a solution, the owner of Wild Ihladesal, Tapu Pihere. There she traded something dear to him for an odd sort of magecraft contained entirely in a small staff, which allowed her to become mist and take to the skies. It was in this way that she made her way, completely undetectably, to New Stonyhurst, where she simply took up a position on the edge of the island and waited.

Waited for this very moment, where in one smooth motion she slashes her tombak through the back of Ba'al with the most powerful strike in her arsenal. Backed by her B++ Strength and the ability of this attack to strike way above its weight class she's immediately removing the largest threat before she tosses back her veil and screams to the heavens above:

From the highest mountain to the widest sea

Even if it takes longer than eternity

I will let nothing stand between you and me

Verdicts:

- Moriarty can definitely intercept the blades fired at Lycaon + others

- Will's PD was lowered by Moriarty's Espionage, he can't detect Gilles in the moment of the attack. As such the saving plan sort of falls apart. That being said the whole basis around it was moving after Antonio was getting splatted, which they could see and sense. But Moriarty shuts down the FTG idea, and it won't work.

- Panhandler is unusable if Walinong maintains her veil (with it on she isn't treated as having WT EX), so she's forced to use a different attack on Ba'al that fits the new rank.

- I don't consider Moriarty's usage of Beelzebub, even if it's his remaining strongest attack, to be an attack against Elligatia. And the non-answerer version isn't making up the stat gap or going to be particularly hard for Moriarty to deal with.

- Nobody can really stop Orpheus from reaching the ground, we'll get into the rest of that in the next phase

- That being said the splitting idea of Orpheus isn't something I'm 100% convinced is in character, for someone focused both on avoiding combat (and his goal for this fight and the grail), I'm unsure of it.

- From my placement of the scene, the Archer group who was fighting with Ba'al above isn't in TAT's range from where Orpheus was. With Canute and Elligatia being in the mirror dimension they aren't affected (but reading Elligatia post again it doesn't seem like she's in it. If so there's another Fragarach vs Na Einai discussion that needs to take place around his ability to survive a second one while fully fleshed (if he's truly splitting).

- Antonio has been confirmed a virgin for Gilles intent of restoring mana off of him

- Emma can't continue to exist without a body outside of the dream world

Results:

- Antonio is killed

- Ba'al is killed

- Emma cannot exist outside the Dream World and disappears

- Gilles restores 10 mana (Virgin Human)

- Orpheus reaches the acreage below and starts to spread towards the city

- Possible future discussion around Elligatia's location at the moment of her post and Fragarach vs Na Einai round 2

- Fragarach does not activate with Moriarty's usage of Beelzebub
