@shirso: How powerful is standard unamped Thanos? Depending on your answer my team can change or I might become a team buster

@god_vulcan: Physically strong enough to beat herald lvl guys like Surfer to death in a few punches and go toe to toe with power gem Thor, energy projection to nearly one shot Hulk lvl guys, durability to tank simultaneous blows from numerous herald lvl characters, and Thanos in particular has exceptional energy durability, to survive even repeated assaults from Odin.

As a rule of thumb, if you can see your guy taking on and beating multiple herald lvl guys (Surfer/Green Lanterns/BRB/Thor/MMH/etc) together, like people like Thanos, Darkseid, Larfleeze, Despero, Acacia, etc has done, then they are likely teambuster lvl.

@shirso: Would sealing someone be alright?

Also is reality warping allowed?

I'll switch to Team buster and use Asura the Destructor. I'll pm you his feats and you can decide whether he's too strong or not; imo he's slightly above Thanos, but with some of these lineups Thanos would get wrecked so I think it's fair.

If he's too strong I'll stick with my current, original team (which includes Mantra Asura who's weaker)

@shirso: When are we starting this tournament, also I've noticed we have more participants than what the limit says in the OP so are you increasing the number of people to join or what confused about that.

Also can you confirm who is in the tournament and who is not.

@chronicplane: Actually I'll be starting shortly (provided nobody drops out now), my initial plan was 4 teambusters + 4 teams, and Vulcan changed to a teambuster, so I have filled all the slots now.

I haven't restricted reality warping, but it should be in general accordance with the upper limits (e.g: you can't take someone in a team who would stomp Surfer with his reality warping).

Guys, though I initially wanted this to be a "no restrictions" tourney, I have had to impose some due to circumstances.

But I have allowed mostly everything else, in particular the below ones:

Sealing: Allowed (will count it as incap)

Pocket realities: BFR in all forms is restricted, so you can't pull stuff like teleporting everybody into some esoteric dimension, but creating localized warp zones with different laws of reality is allowed.

Reality warping: This one is tricky, I ain't restricting it outright, but a few guidelines:

• No toonforce characters.
• It should be in general accordance with the upper limits (e.g: you can't take someone in a team who would stomp Surfer or other high heralds with his reality warping. Similarly you can't take say Mad Jim Jaspers as a teambuster).

Now that we have covered what is allowed, let's see what isn't. To my knowledge, I have only restricted 3 things:

• Time hax (specifically things like time freeze, time stop, time slowing/speeding, etc), passive uses like limited omniscience, looking into alternate timelines, etc is allowed.
• BFR in all forms (that includes self). (I really wanted not to restrict this, but I realize that it can make for some really cop out arguments at this tier).
• Speedsters (for obvious reasons).

And again to reiterate, always keep in mind the general upper limits, if you are making a team, try to fit the standard high herald mold, if your character can take a majority against Surfer or others around his level, he is likely too powerful. Ditto Thanos and teambusters.

One last thing, keep in mind that everyone here is bloodlusted/morals off and all the teams have perfect teamwork. So I recommend using that when you are choosing characters.

I think I have laid all the cards on the table now, and finally cleared up everyone's doubts regarding hax. The teams are laid bare for all to see, so are the restrictions, whatever other queries you have, or even if you want to completely overhaul your team, now's the time.

@god_vulcan: Just send me those Asura feats, 1 or 2 members haven't finalized their last teams yet, and I need to give a window for everyone to make last minute changes, but it will start probably sometime tomorrow.

@zetsumoto: I'd pit teams against teambusters in R1, and hope that equal numbers of each qualify, but it'd finally come down to the last user I guess.
