The Teambusters / Crack Squads Tourney ! (Signups closed)

Hello Comic Vine, and welcome to my first tourney !

Have you ever felt a mad surge of boiling adrenaline as your favorite cosmic mass murderer/ alien warlord / tyrannical deity with a screw loose dials up the insanity and runs through the good guys like a stack of wet tissue paper? Have you ever coveted the power, the prestige or just the sheer badassery that seems to come as right of birth to these brutal megalomaniacs?

Or do you prefer to be on the other side, rubbing shoulders with a rag tag bunch of bickering, yet intrepid misfits, united in the face of overwhelming opposition, ready to stick it to the Man, and lay down their lives if need be (and be promptly resurrected a few months later :P)?

If so, then this is the tourney for you.

The rules are simple, pick your favorite "Teambuster" or design your very own crack squad for responding to extinction level threats. Last man (or men) standing wins !

Guidelines

• Teambusters shouldn't be above standard, unamped Thanos level.
• Crack squads can have only 4 members, none above Silver Surfer level.
• Random encounter on an indestructible planet.
• Win by death, KO or incap. No BFR.
• Everyone is bloodlusted and morals off (Silver Surfer fans, do your thing ! )
• Squads have perfect teamwork.
• Marvel gets standard 616 unamped feats, DC gets Pre/N52 feats, Manga and other mediums get composite feats (subject to the first two upper limits of course).
• No speedsters please.
• No time manipulation or too force characters.
• Since this is my first tourney, I will be taking 8 participants initially, 4 from the teambusters side, and 4 from the crack squads side.

@shirso: I'm in 3 CaV's, all of them contain you. I can't do a tournament now...

Although, that 2v2 mid tier probably won't happen, and I only need to finish my final post with our CaV, hmmmm I guess I could do it... maybe.... reserve, Ill see if I have the time later.

@shirso: If I take Genis as a team buster the way I have him against our CaV (with less, uh, stupid replies) is that fine for teambuster?

@major_hellstorm: starbusting is above surfer level. Unamped he is casually planetary. most teambusters aren't even star busting.

I might restrict speedsters and time manipulation depending on how things go, everything else you are expected to have a defense for when dealing with characters at this level.

Another thing, as for the Silver Surfer raw power limit, star busting is a little too much, think large planetary.

I was just going by other heralds like Fallen One who have busted stars, but yeah you are right, SS has never casually star busted.

Captain Marvell should be fine, though imo he might just get a little overwhelmed since we are dealing with Thanos lvl teambusters here. But if you think he is strong enough, sure, why not!

Fallen one has never busted a star either. Only a gas giant. I believe Nova is the only herald has done so.. But that seem inconsistent.

Even Acacia is at best star level due the the Don Slime fight. Having a team of 4 star busting character would be way too much.

@shirso: Sure if you need another I guess since everyone is picking team buster rn I'll try and make a crack team.

@emperorthanos: Nobody above SS level in the team should be fine.

@shirso: Well, he would take Thanos or someone like that handily, Midora and Neo are way more hax, and have counters for most of Vell's hax. So solo against someone like Thanos won't be that much of a problem imo.

@jardinain2: Cool. Captain Marvell it is then. To tell the truth I'm curious to see how the others debate against him.

@shirso: Since Surfer is only planet level, SGGL wouldn't fit. Just put me out of the list.

@jucaslucasa: Casual planet busting level. You can use others if SGGl doesn't fit.

Hopefully someone uses Beerus or Hit.

@god_vulcan: Not really with the rings he's around Silver Surfer level (maybe a bit stronger physically) though Surfer stands to be superior to him with his abilities and speedm Also I'd figure since most people on that battle of the week thread of SS vs CS most say in the SS would win I thought he would be fine.

Also just a question but how much does a blue lantern ring increase a power of a green lantern ring and can It affect none GL's of the core that wield GL rings?
