@xxdeathmakerxx: It wasn't really explained. Mar-Vell brought Thanos to TMAO, so it could be argued that he send them to their own realm. However, they were probably in the Cancerverse instead, but it shouldn't make him weaker because Cancerverse is one of the Universes he infected, so he shouldn't be weaker in that Universe. And even if he was, doe sit matter? Shuma-Gorath doesn't have feats to put him above Infinity Gauntlet.

IG Thanos was placed above most of Marvel's cosmic heavy-hitters. No reason why Shuma should be any more of a threat.

@takenstew22: IG isn't rubbish per se, it's just gets overrated, due to most of its feats being from classic days when cosmology was small etc. The best thing you can draw from it was IG beating 616 manifestation of Eternity (which has multiversal feats, ironically), Soul Gem having an entire multiverse in it and it creating a ripple in Beyonders' realm (back when Beyonders came from Neutral Zone). Speaking of Neutral Zone, Shuma scales above it, and through some other semi-wonky scaling you can get him to be above Chthon who is above IG (imo).
