The Beyonder is bored. He decides to see a fight. After doing his research on Comic Vine on overpowered characters, he decides to make two teams fight one another. He tries his best to make the teams fair. He makes Thanos and Sentry team captains. They pick their teams and Beyonder approves. Let the fight begin.

Beyonder threatens to erase the losers out of existence

That means everyone is bloodlusted and determined to win

Everyone will be using their powers to the best of their abilities and will have perfect chemistry

Teams will have no time to prep

Probably team 1 with Destroyer being MVP. Space Punisher Hulk's only impressive feat IIRC was stomping a few Watchers which I don't think had any feats.

Space Punisher is by far the weakest guy here. Dude is basically featless, with his only feat being killing featless characters.

@g2_: Yeah, he beat a bunch of featless Watchers......cool? I've seen those scans like a thousand times and they aren't impressive. If they were 616 Watchers I'd care, but some random Watchers with a few statements thrown around by them means exactly nothing.

It's a mini-series, and Hulk isn't even the main character, Punisher is. They don't have time in 4 issues to give everyone a gazillion feats to satisfy Comic Vine Battle forums, rather they are telling a compelling story, and in order to illustrate the power-level of these characters, they need to make quick statements like "universal" so we know what we are dealing with. The Watchers were universal, Hulk was said to be biggest threat in the universe besides Galactus, it's pretty obvious the writers are making SPH a universal threat, which makes him spank anyone on Team 1 rather easily.

@green_skaar: I'm sorry, but I can't call anyone "universal" based on a lot of nothing. Being intended to be the biggest threat in a world of nearly featless characters ain't impressive. Regardless, if he was universal as you say, then I would imagine that would be rather imbalanced, no?

It's not based on nothing, it's literally the authors own words on panel. That's how we know their intentions and thoughts, not just through artwork.

Yes, it is really unbalanced. I think he should be replaced with WWH or WBH if we want a Hulk in that slot, otherwise there are lots of other characters that would do.

@green_skaar: Yeah, it's based on statements on featless characters....not exactly impressive. Any bum can be stated as powerful, but if their feats are completely nothing, then there's not much to really go over.

I'll take author's statements at their words unless it's directly contradicted on panel, or context explains otherwise, you are welcome to dismiss them.

Comics are: words and pictures. So ignoring half of what comics are (words) to figure out what characters are capable of, is very limiting.

The Destroyer armor limits Loki's versatility. How would Thanos or Destroyer even put down Deathseed Sentry? AFAIK Surfer is the only one on his team with an answer to everyone on Sentry's team and how is anyone even going to effect Surfer in his current form?
