Team A vs. Team B (X-Men)

Team A: Cyclops, Iceman, Emma Frost, Gambit, Polaris

Team B: Storm, Jean Grey, Havok, Magma, Banshee

-Fight takes place in Manhattan.

-Battle begins at sundown.

-Win by incapacitation or K.O.

Which team has the powerset to outmatch the other?

team 2 Jean Grey is the mvp but Polaris makes her work for it.

Team B. That's a lot of power to counter.

Team 2 due to Storm and Jean.

Team A, Cyclops mvp

He could solo for the most part, but Jean might be able to give him ago for his money

He's the first to go down, Jean and Storm can take him out with a thought, even if he could fire off a blast Jean could just shield the team and Storm has blocked his blast twice with lightning and once with wind.

He's very capable but he ain't soloing team 2.

Nothing here proves that Storm or Jean can't handle his optic blast especially when they have in the past. Even in the first scan Scott himself said Storm intentionally missed, he's not going to dodge a lightning bolt out of the clear blue sky. By the time he presses one of the buttons on his glove or takes off his visor he would be koed by lightning or put to sleep by Jean. Their powers activate as fast as they think, while Scott needs to activate his visor and wait for the blast to be released.

Both of them would pretty much stomp him unless he gets a lucky shot if they hesitate, but together without pis he stands no chance.

Team B...I think. Banshee could go for instant incapacitation via sonic screams, while the rest take the first team one by one. They take it mid diff I think

Team B.

Jean consistently holds in cyclops blasts without his glasses (Phoenix Resurrection #5 and another old Xmen crossover with Stryfe kidnapping Scott and jean), she also consistently beats Emma frost (taking down a Phoenix enhanced Emma in endsong, heck jeans ghost restrained and knocked out Emma recently).

Storm fights magneto, she could deal with Polaris easily. Not to mention that Polaris doesn't have great mental defense feats, always getting possessed and going insane.

Banshee starts with a sonic scream to distract. Jean takes on Emma while Polaris fights storm, Jean wins her fight, then she could turn off Polaris and cyclops powers.

Iceman has his hands full fighting magma (winning though) since he holds back a lot. Havok takes on gambit (more destructive feats, I'm backing him).

After Emma is taken out by Jean, she turns off everyone's mind.

Team B wins rather easily.

The most problematic members are Polaris and Iceman. Sooner or later though, Emma will go down, leaving Jean free to shut Bobby down. Polaris is a little more tricky, but I don’t think she can handle team b all on her own, let alone Storm and Jean.

Banshee and Magma are good distractions and Havok is the weak link. Not to say he is useless, but compared to who is on his team, there won’t be much to do for him.

Team b, mainly due to storm and jean.

No one's willing to vouch for Team A?

Team B takes a majority and the only way I could see team A winning would be purely because of Iceman.
