Is this a ret-con? Because when Civil War came out the Russos confirmed T'Challa was enhanced without his suit.

@jardinain2: Well depends what you mean by spoiler? The heart shaped herb is an important piece of lore from the comics.
Its basically the source of T'challa's powers (or was before he became king of the dead). Its what connects T'challa to the panther God and recently it was revealed that it allows him to track vibranium and gives T'challa a connection to vibranium as well.
Honestly, T'Challa's skill without the suit really didn't impress me. I was more impressed in CW. I can see Davos winning this. I just dont see an unenhanced T'challa fighting off as many Hand soldiers as Davos and Danny did at the compound.
It's hard to make a case for herbless T'Challa as it is, it's even harder now considering he is unarmed and his only herbless feat is fighting while armed. I would say Davos.

To be fair M'baku did disarm T'challa. So he ultimately beat him unarmed.

@danieldaripper: It was a fair amount of time; and it was how he took the victory so it's extremely pertinent. I think T'Challa is supposed to be a better unarmed combatant than he is with weapons.
davos would win against black panther even with the herb .. davos uses his fist of red to kill that is why its red because he will not limit himself to stun he uses it to kill .. he can beat black panther with all the stuff he has got including armor and the herb..
If he has the Fist it's obviously a curbstomp but that shouldn't be assumed since this thread was made long before Iron Fist season 2. And Davos does not have the Fist currently anyway.
