The Thanoseid pic is from "Thorion of The New Asgods#1" which was written by Keith Giffen and drawn by John Romita Jr. As for Superman, it is the present day version and the setting of this battle against Thanoseid and L'ok D'saad is taking place in Smallville.

true,Darkseid and Thanos by thenselfs would kill Superman,a fusion of then is overkill,Loki also would posses a preety good chance to take the man of steel.
Im guessing Thanoseid is just Thanos and Darkseid put together. Superman loses badly. He can't even beat Thanos or Darkseid, What more if you combine them?
