Superman could solo that invasion by himself. Flying the gauntlet a few hundred meters into the tunnel would be a cakewalk. He is almost as fast as DCEU Flash in combat and Flash can statue lightning
Edit: Saw the clip again, Carol took 11 seconds to fly a few hundred meters while Superman reached low earth orbit in 3 seconds. She is ridiculously slow. Compared to Clark, Carol's combat speed is fodder, barely above Iron Man
Superman can fly far faster than Carol in atmosphere. He gets there in a second and the movie ends. Either that or just everyone and everything is FTL in the MCU.
I mean look the explosions are moving at normal speed, the fodder is running at speeds relative to Carol, the fodder Chitauri blasts which move at the same speed as bullets are moving faster than her. But no guys. The script says she's going all out. She's def MFTL here.
Also Shuri, Pepper and freaking Wasp are MFTL as they are able to line up and fire their attacks (which also outrun Carol) at Thanos before Carol covers barely 100m.
Also if you want to go by the script the Sancutuary flythrough fully exhausted Carol. So even by the script she's nerfed for this run and therefore there's no way she's going her max speed. If you wish to dismiss the script because she doesn't seem exhausted in the movie, then we can dismiss the script as she's clearly not going FTL in the movie here.
that scene debunks itself - it isn't mftl or even massively hypersonic, the only way that scene works with the speeds people are throwing around is if its time dilation but at that point it would mean everyone in that mcu scene is massively relativistic in nature
Captain Marvel was moving slowly it’s clear as day, furthermore even if wanked to MFTL travel speed which makes no sense she moving slower then a sword thrown a big dude, it doesn’t warrant FTL reactions, in the event you threw the same sword with Superman he would see it in slow motion and use freeze Breethe or heat vision it out of the way. Take your pick eitherway speed or not he’s not getting phased.

Cinematic timing is a null argument given we see that the regular soldiers have multiple seconds to fight, Thanos had time to run 10 meters with his little baby steps, Iron Man and crew had time to go and fire at Thanos and knock around him on the ground for multiple seconds as well all in that same time span.
Using the script is just flat out stupid as well, we've seen her fly significantly faster on screen when she destroyed Thanos's ship. If that's her fastest speed, Thor running through the forest was faster than her.
