Yea. He came back during clone conspiracy and he teamed up with Hydra during secret empire and tried to take over Peter's company (all though he got offended when someone said that Steve called him one of his finest "soldiers"). But than Peter destroyed his own company. Surprisingly it was actually a pretty good issue. First one in a while which I really enjoyed.

Honestly I kind of just skimmed clone conspiracy so I can't remember if Otto had motivation beyond just wanting Parker industries back.

Oh... such is the nature of the comic book industry I suppose. All character development must eventually get reset back to the status quo. But what a serious shame.

I knew the rich Spider Man thing would NEVER last lol.

@jashro44: Ock is in a clone body of Peter's but he did say there were modifications to alter it in order to include his own genetic code, as well. He doesn't have "octopus sense" it's just spider sense but he's an egomaniac and prefers to call it that way instead for what it is.

@nickzambuto: This Ock is from Spider-Verse where he hid a copy of his mind in his tech, he didn't go through the end of Superior and the character development.

That makes it a little better but still kinda sucks. An alternate universe Otto just appearing to take over the mantle of the old Otto taints his memory a little.

@nickzambuto: it's the same selfish Otto Octavius that gave peter control of his life back, the only difference being this one only has the memories that would have been saved at the time ock uploaded his memory to the robot during the spider verse arc, when ock realized peter would eventually get his body back

I think he died during amazing spider-man 700 but he is getting an ongoing where he still seems to have the cloned body.

If Superior Octopus really has equal physicals to Spider-Man due to being a clone body, then Octopus should stomp. He's just as strong, fast and durable as Superior Spider-Man, but his tentacles are a lot better and more versatile than Superior Spider-Man's legs. Heck, Octopus can completely disable Superior Spider-Man's tech with his EMP weapon.

If we don't assume that Superior Octopus' physicals are equal to Spidey's, then Superior Spidey wins just because Superior Octopus is essentially featless in terms of physicals.

I'll go with the original. Original is always better. I'm sure this will be confirmed soon enough.

@jashro44: Well he's using Peter's body. Ock's new body is just a clone. Clones tend to be cheap knockoffs.
