Superior durability stunt? (MCU/DCEU)
@variant06: it leveled the surface of a moon...
@emanresu_20: no. It tore a few tiny chunks off the moon then teleported is them with the space stone. A few controlled explosions could do that. And we have no idea what the moons gravity or composition was. Even then Thanos clearly didn’t use its full power on Tony. The guardians tanked it too.
@emanresu_20: He had help with the space stone back then.
Power stone showing is far more impressive
Power Stone can legit Planet bust...lowballing it it can destroy a Huge ship, HV can barely tear up buildings or melt metal.
Ironman took the attack, countered it, and kept fighting for a while....Cyborg was removed from battle from a weaker blast.
Ironman feat is superior.
No he didn’t in the scene you can clearly see the entirety of the moon being engulfed in purple energy and raped by the Stone. In the moons close up we could see the blast ripping apart the moon beyond its curvature as well. Also teleported??? Is that why the mountain sized chunks were on fire?
Power gem blasts can range to anything from K.Oing Star Lord with no knock back to destroying planets.
Without seeing an environmental impact we have no way of knowing how strong that particular blast from the Gem was.
Cyborgs feat is quantifiable. Therefore actually usable when comparing feats.
It wins by default
@erickagl17: So Mantis is now Moon level durability? Lol
@AngelJax
Both unquantifiable. Power gem more so.
Both unquantifiable. Power gem more so.
Heat vision is as hot as the surface of the sun and puts out as much energy as a 3-mile long bolt of lightning. The most unquantifiable thing about it is the concussive force it hits with. Now, the power stone should dwarf this but it is very inconsistent.
@rbt: power gem destroyed a planet how is that unquantifiable?
is obvious due to plot, if they were hit with the same force there would be no story because he be to OP and would kill them easily you know that plot stupidity.
@thanosii: One being an accident and the other only meant to cauterise. Every blast Thanos fired from the Gem was meant to kill. Yet clearly some of them didn't. It's inconsistent as hell.
@greysentinel365: I actually dont think Thanos always meant to kill as there was several times where he could have easily and didnt. Goes along with the character arc they developed.
And my reading of the iron man power stone scene was he was clearly being overwhelmed by it and actually sidestepped it when he realised he couldnt tank it

You're missing point. Not all power stone blasts are equal (duh), so saying Iron Man survived a planet busting blast is garbage. It's not lowballing, it is simple logic. Most power stone attacks are not in fact planet busting, or anything close to that. Without observing environmental effects there is simply no way to know how much destructive output any given blast has.
When did Lois tank heat vision? Context is important, which is my point.
Wait... Isn't Titan a moon itself?
How small would a planetoid be if it orbits a moon, when Titan is only slightly larger than our moon?
@lunacyde:For ironman to shield up even in bleeding edge shows that the blast would have hurt him if he had not.
Ironman would tank that heatvision without his shield.
The police car was only cut not even blown up
@miekskywalker: I'm not saying heat vision is more impressive, I'm saying people are overexamining Iron Man's feat based on what can be proven.
You don't have proof that IM could tank HV without the shield.
@lunacyde: The heat vision sure did a great job against the car.
Ironman> Police cruiser
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec-p6BhGM6w go to 58 seconds takes direct hits off of ultron with minimal damage in a obsolete suit.
@red_ruby_petal: heat vision is a concentrated beam of heat, so the majority of it's energy is not in the form of concussive impact. You can't just compare the kinetic energy contained by the beam alone.
Iran hard to quantify the powerstone. It ranges from obliterating whole spaceships and the surface of a moon, to smaller stuff like pushing Drax and Mantis away.
From what I can tell, there’s four ways to use the stone.
First, Thanos uses it to burn Thor’s head.
Second, it can be used to more slowly destroy a large area of something, like the Asgardian ship.
Third, it can be a concentrated beam, like how it was used on Ironman, or Ronan.
And fourth, it can be used as a smaller pulse attack.
But that’s all just my headcanon. Like I already said, it’s pretty hard to quantify.
The heat vision cut right through the police car.
What is your point again?
Does Iron Man have any feats against something that is 10,000° F?
@red_ruby_petal: heat vision is a concentrated beam of heat, it doesn't have concussive force, so you can't really compare their concussive impact. They are two different forms of attack.
Heat vision has force.
@red_ruby_petal: This is all I could find
Yeah, realized that was incorrect.
@tonymartial: well damn. Did I miss that in the movie or was it just in the trailer?
What's Supes best heat vision feat?
Thanos destroyed the Asgardian spaceship, and Ronan with Power Stone destroyed the barrier of the Nova Corps fleet. Quill vaporized Ronan (who can survive a spaceship crash and a direct missile explosion) with the Power Stone.
Also Cybord didn't do anything, sure he survived the blast but he ragdolled and he was no match, I don't see how this is comparable to what Nano IM did.
@tonymartial: well damn. Did I miss that in the movie or was it just in the trailer?
There are some scenes deleted from the movie that were there in trailer.
Iron Man tanked Thor’s lightning. Lighting in general can reach 50,000 F with a surface temperature of 10,000.
@empressofdread: well thats a lot of missed feats.
