That said, even sun dipped Superman isn't going to beat Thanos.

I have to say i never seen Thanos do anything crazily impressive without his famous amps. I mean he had some good fights. But nothing that lives up to the CV hype...

To my knowledge Thanos has only beaten the following without any amps:

• Silver Surfer
• Kosmos (Cosmic Cube Beyonder)
• Champion (With the power gem)

A few things to consider,I'm on the fence about this. First, Beta Ray and Thor are relatively close in power, yet the superman vs thor debate rages on, surfer vs superman generally results in Surfer taking the win, but that depends on the era and versions being used. The simple fact that Thanos could even respond to The Runner is mind boggling as well. But, Sundipped superman vs Thanos? Hard to say because Thanos in my opinion tanked Odins blast, who at least to me is a casual galaxy wrecker. Tough call but I'll give it to Superman with some actual effort. I don't think Thanos would go down easy.

Remember when a full powered black bolt scream did nothing really to thanos or the sorrunding area but delusional kids still think it's planet+ with no feats to back it up

Most impressive being SS there IMHO. The Maker was already wacked in the head not knowing her / its powers and only using energy blasts against Thanos. And dont forget Thanos got one shot koed before the fight he mindraped.

Love how this part is always/usually left out when their encounter(s) are recalled.

Yes, I know Thanos didn't win this fight, but this was against a well fed Galactus and Thanos did much better than most others have or would do.
