stormtrooper vs. clone trooper

On Geonosis. stormtrooper equipped with standard issue E-11 blaster rifle. Clone trooper equipped with standard issue DC-15A blaster rifle. EU edition, standard issue weaponry and armor.

Stormtrooper wins, superiour blaster, and rock solid training.

Clone troopers killed Jedi Masters. Stormtroopers can't even hit a slow moving target.

@awesam: Well its based off of EU like the OP said, according to the books I have read stormtroopers are very competent, also the clone troopers had superior numbers when taking on jedi masters .

Been done several times. Clones are genetically superior in virtually every category.

@juiceboks: Well the e-11 is technologically superior to the carbine carried by the clone, it has 500 shots, and has selection fire to it, plus the stormtroopers go through crazy hard training, the only way you washout is if you die.

@mitran: Yes but they are accelerated, so its not like 20 years of training its half that or even less, plus the stormtrooper as I said has better armor and tech than the clone trooper, his blaster is 20 years or more out of date. And a stormie's training is very good, in one story a stormtrooper tagged a moving pirate on a swoop bike without any difficulty.

@mitran: Also if you read judgement of one, Larone tanks a laser bolt, which is present technology, to his chest piece and is armor stopped most of the blast, it missed his organs so he wasn't killed. Stormtrooper training is heavily ingrained they are fanatically loyal to the emperor and will throw themselves at the enemy till they win, along with being very good at what they do. There are clone trooper feats, but those are about clone commando's which wouldn't be fair in this thread.

@mitran: Gotcha, do you actually like Karen Traviss as an author, she kind of ruined one of the halo books for me lol, and her dabbling in the post Galactic Empire novels have been a total letdown.

Also I realize its not as ingrained as a clone troopers training, but they aren't the crack troops of the Empire for nothing, imaging in their HUD is better, and E-11 blasters pack a solid punch.

Alright if they are close it will be melee combat, both are highly skilled in fighting hand to hand.

Stormtroopers have 2 years of training...just to clear that up.

Clone stomps every time. I'd argue a B1 could go 50/50 with the average Stormtrooper and one Clone is worth at least 4-6 of those if not 10 when fighting at full potential.

EU Stormies should win, they have numbers along with better training and equipment, Clones would probably win in Canon tho.

Clone Troopers are capable of taking on Mandalorians and killing Jedi... they win.

@j_normal: To be fair, the Jedi were taken off guard and some of them were not fully trained Padawans and Knights, someone like Obi Wan or Yoda went through them without much issue, it's still pretty impressive but I wouldn't say that it's out of reach for EU Stormies.

Stormtrooper. Comparable if not superior training, far more experience against a number of different enemies in warfare, superior equipment.
