This was inspired by the original Star Wars Duos tournament. So basically, it has been quite long since there is a SW tournament, and I thought one of those will be really helpful. Not, I do expect this one to fail but lets see if we can get enough people.
Basic tournament rules:
- There will be 8 participants (hopefully enough), but I can move it up to 12 or even 16 if needed.
- Each debate will be in the form of CaVs
- Rules for CaVs still apply for this tournament I.e. respectful debates, everybody can vote, etc.
- All the characters must be within a given power range
Tournament rules
Each team will consist of two characters, with the following levels:
1. The first character will be top tier council level.
Example characters here include Dooku, SoD Maul, Traya, Malgus, no amp Mace, Cade Skywalker, ROTS base Anakin, KOTOR Revan etc. The character must be above ROTS Obi Wan and below Dooku. Although, slightly above characters such as no amp Mace who is on the same level can count.
2. The second character is mid-council level
This will include characters such as AOTC Obi Wan, Kit Fisto, Meetra Surik, Satele Shan (as of Annihilation), Jaden Korr, Savage Opress, TPM Maul etc. The character has to be above Qui Gon Jinn but below ROTS Obi Wan
A sample team will be Maul and Savage. Another possible team will be Meetra Surik and Traya. it will be cool if there is a logical link between the characters but that is not necessary
You cannot use 2 versions of the same character, so SoD Maul and TPM Maul together in a team is not allowed.
Each round will begin in a neutral settings, no special amps for characters. However, it is a possibility to have amps on that specific character (SF Malak). However, the fight still takes place on neutral settings, so nobody else gets amped or hindered by the settings
Bloodlusted
Perfect-teamwork is no guaranteed, however you can gain those through perks. But no, a Jedi and a Sith will not fight with each other, they will have the same amount of team-work as say Adi Gallia and Obi Wan, that is to say 1 v1 spread out. But obviously Savage and Maul will have more chemistry between them.
Force connection, bonds, BM are all allowed
Hax such as force drain is not allowed
IMPORTANT:
all supremacy quotes will not be taken into account in this debate. For example the Maul > all previous Sith quotes or the Yoda > all previous Jedi quotes. However, quotes that directly compare characters and scaling chains are allowed. But quotes like Sidious > all other Dark siders before is not allowed. The purpose is to not let Mace Windu gets an easy win over opponents due to his supremacy quotes

Standard equipments, but amulets are allowed if they carry it around
Perks:
There are several perks you can choose from
Prior knowledge: this will be especially helpful against opponents like Plo Koon, you get knowledge of their character before hand.
Training session: you get to spar with your partner beforehand for 1 hour.
Extra weapon: you can carry an extra weapon, such as a blaster, a dagger, or another lightsaber around. But no OP weapons like Outlander's lightsaber or Dagger of Mortis. For example, AOTC Anakin might want another lightsaber.
Jetpacks: yes, you get to fly, but a simple force crush can destroy it tho
1 hour of meditation: you get to clear your mind and get energy
