spiderman is so much faster and stronger than wolverine, that wolverine wouldn't even lay a hand on spidey.

Welcome to the vine, but no. Peter is too fast, and too strong. He webs Logan's arms together, and rips his head off and plays Basket Ball with it with the rest of the Avengers.

Well, we all know, however, that Peter is not a killer, Logan is. That was established in the comic. Spidey was pounding Wolverine into a gravestone so hard, it cracked down the middle. (He may have even broken it.) And it ended up in a standstill. Wolverine had his fist right under Spidey's jaw, and Spidey had his hands around Wolverine's head. So the checkmate move would have either been claws through Spider-Man's skull, or Wolverine's neck being broken. But like Wolvy said, "Killin' ain't in you, bub." Spider-Man has always been one of my all-time top favorites, if not, THE favorite, but I gotta hand this one to logan. And for the webbing bit, any webbing would be sliced through, like soggy pasta.

I disagree. Peter is a killer (I.E. Back in Black) and his webs will overwhelm Logan. That was a writer trying to make Logan seem like a threat to Pete. But in reality. He's not really a threat at all.

You are talking about a comic book! Of course in a comic they aren't going to kill wolverine! And they aren't going to make wolverine look bad. You know that on the vine we base battles on powers, not on popularity or what the comic would say. Spiderman can lift 25 tons and has reflexes 18 times faster than human. If they fought in "real life" spideys way superior reflexes and spidey sense would allow him to dodge any and every punch wolverine threw at him. It would be like me fighting Muhammed Ali, I wouldn't land a shot, and he could tag me at will.

Well WE know that, but a lot of the time when there's a thread about a fight, people prove their points about their opinion by posting pictures of the outcome they were talking about. That was the case BIG-TIME when we were going back and forth about Hulk vs Juggernaut.

Spider-Man wins. He's faster and stronger, nevermind smarter, and he has spider-sense and webs. Logan stands no chance.

Based on powers not on popularity or comic sales, do you really think wolverine can land even one punch on spiderman? Even though his skull is made of adamantium, he can still be knocked unconscious by sufficient force. I would say a punch from a man who can press 25tons is sufficient force to rattle his brain around is his skull enough to knock him out. After he ko's him, which is a win, he throws wolverines 195lb body a couple miles just to be rid of him.
