Still Spider-Man.
Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) vs Makkari (Eternals)
@frozen: There's a couple of ways to approach it. The first would be how fast Electro's electricity is moving relative to other aspects and elements. For example, when comparing Electro and his electricity to the people in the background, cars, debris or Spidey, it's not moving as fast as "real" electricity would. The second approach would be to consider where Spider-Man operates at other times and how little sense it makes for him to be several tenfold faster when interacting with Electro and only Electro.
Electro's fictional electricity consistently doesn't move at the speed of real life electricity. Which is more in line with where the Spidey's operate at other times. When someone says Andrew has 20+- examples of reacting to electricity, but the sole and same source is Electro, it doesn't pan out. In my humble opinion :)
I think the question is simple. Why does Spider-man only move at these insane speeds when fighting Electro?
There is a large margin between being able to statue people and being able to statue electricity. There is a large margin between being able to dodge bullets and statue electricity. The feats posted for Spider-man when he is dodging bullets would not even be 1/100 as good as the feats of dodging electricity.
He also failed to statue a slow glider, bombs, a free fall etc.
I think that based on this, two conclusions come to mind:
- The electricity Electro uses is not as fast as normal OR
- Garfield is aim dodging, using his Spider-sense to predict the trajectory of the attack prior to Electro actually attacking.
If either of these are true, then it does not particularly matter how many times Garfield dodges it, because neither of these scenarios would prove that he is capable of moving at electricity speed.
Nobody is denying that Garfield dodged electricity 25+ times, but rather we put scaling Garfield's overall speed to electricity into question due to the 2 aforementioned conclusions.
This kind of reasoning still holds up now ^
And it goes without saying that you won't catch Spider-Man doing anything like this:
And certainly not this:
Good thing it’s not a race.. ability to react to something that fast is plenty to web her up.
We’ve seen Spidey statue everything from humans to bullets, to missiles, to lightning.. dozens of feats against things with known speeds…if he’s fast enough to react to faster things than her, then he can react to her just fine.
—
Also that blur speed arg doesn’t really hold up, like the people who were statued by Garfeild.. what do you think he looked like to them if not a blur?
Like honest question.. the people in that bus, what do you think Andrew looked like to the humans here when he statued them?
——
Also perception and precog, Andrew has seen the world in legit slow motion (Makkari never has that we see) and we see him get glimpses of fights before they happen.
Andrew webbing her up doesn’t seem outlandish at all.. honestly nothing she did looked as visually impressive as this either.
Idk man, having a quantifiable thing to compare to in the scene is nice…especially while Spidey has dozens of explicit slo motion scenes statuing bullets, statuing missiles, statuing people and 40 lightning timing with a dozen in slo mo from Spideys perspective …this isn’t something to sniff at imo….on top of precog.
As for the lowballs, I hate to debate that way but if we must then I’ll be force to call attention to the lava falling from the volcano that was visually faster than makkari in combat.
Can you see the rocks falling from the sky much faster than Makkari? Does that mean she’s sub rock falling speed?.. I think somewhere it’s mentioned she was around mach 1, if he can dodge bullets (lowend) you’d think he could dodge Mach 1.. anyways, I hate these kinda lowend debate, I’d prefer a more fair minded debate, but there is plenty lowball for her too.
Still Spidey.
@darkpsychiclord_prime: nah spidey stomps
@deactivated-61b25f23d4557: andrew loses but if we talk about comics spidey claps since he literally tagged silver surfer and 1 shot galactus

The spider-man meat riders are so funny, Makkari
Still Makati stomps, she's relativistic, Spider-Man is not.
Thena (somebody significantly slower than Spidey) reacted to Makkari. No reason she doesn't gets webbed up the moment she bullrushes into him.
@jurance: Cool, feat for Thena. Spidey still isn't relativistic.
@darkpsychiclord_prime: Not a feat for Thena. Makkari still gets webbed up.
Makkari absolutely stomps him.
Based on?
@jurance: *Thena performs the feat*
"Not a feat for Thena".
Ok
What i meant was that Thena only tagged Makkari mid blitz, like when Makkari was literally holding onto her. So obviously not a speed feat for her, the same thing would happen here. Makkari would bullrush Peter failing to hurt him, then mid blitz Peter would just web her up or beat the shit out of her with superior physicals.
He also has faster combat speed feats.
