@pawlnewman01: The best showing for tobey was literally just webbing Andrew and defending Norman with major struggle until Tom cooled down.

The first example shows off his experience. The last one shows how badly he’s aged/doing against Tom.

If Tom has any of his high tech suits he solos everyone here mid to no difficulty.

@the_metabee: if you've watched the raimi films, then you know that Tobey wasn't trying his best when he stopped the glider. Tom on the other hand was trying his best.

@rebake: Why wouldn’t he? The whole point was to stop Tom from killing Norman so why not overpower/disarm him?

OT:

@the_metabee: Tobey literally accomplished his goal of stopping Tom, but he wasn't trying to fight Tom either. It was better to send Tom a message with his face and simply act as a wall between Tom and Goblin, and that approach worked since Tom calmed down and changed his mind about killing Goblin.
