as much as I hate to say this, Satan is just about one of the most powerful (as well as influential) beings in existence.
 
Of course it means jack squat when compared to God, Jesus Christ, or the Holy spirit (which can be used to ward off Satan, but only if one has it).

Not Exactly... I mean you have to remember that the whole point of The Bet between God and Satan over Job was to show that God is in Complete Control... in other words... God has Complete Control over Satan's Power... but that isnt to say that Satan isnt Powerful at all...

Think of it this way... if The One Above All decided to take away or bind The Living Tribunal's power what could LT do to negate that ? And can we say because TOAA has control over the LT's power than the LT doesnt have any power of his own ? Heck No... its just that the Supreme Being of the Universe has more power than anyone could ever imagine and if he decides to bind or nullify the power of Satan... or Living Tribunal or anyone he can... cause he is God
