The Vaapad failures . . . who wins?
@SilentBat: Don't tag me for Force User battles, that's not my forte.
@wolfrazer: My bad bro, I'll keep that in mind.
Round 1: Depa
Round 2: ................. Sora based on pure combative showing, I'm not sure how to factor in Depa's empathy (which does indicate she is hella powerful) and her accomplishments on Harrun Kal are mired in a number of circumstances (I'll have to re-read Shatterpoint, not that that's a chore)
Round 3: If Depa is thinking straight she should win all-out, it depends if this is her during or before Shatterpoint. Bulq has already been shown to dominate Vos but I don't think he can beat Depa. Bulq will give her hell though. If she's thinking straight she will let Vos sort out his beef with Bulq first. Especially since she will be aware of both their emotional states due to her empathy
Could go either way for all three. Vos defeated Sora before, and before that Sora defeated him as well, as for Depa, she should've been skilled as Sora.
These are my thoughts. I think this is a particularly good match up. I think the winner might fall on who can manage a 3-way battle royale the best. And even considering that dynamic I'm not quite certain.
Hmm. Well Depa has the advantage of being confirmed as the second best master of Vaapad. She has an advantage over both Bulq and Vos as shes simply much more skilled with a saber.
While Force Wise i think its a toss up between Vos and Bulq, i am still sure Depa wins with difficulty
I'm flipping between Bulq and Billaba.
Me too. It's a matter of who deals with the 3-way best of these two, I think.
I'd say Bulq. I consider him a bit more skilled than the others.
His shoto combined with his regular blade should offer him more room and versatility in a 3 way duel like this as well.
Combine that with the fact that Bulq has mastered every lightsaber form (to my knowledge Vos and maybe Billaba haven't but I could be wrong) then he should be able to pull off the win.
@guildseal: No real confirmation for Depa and the how many forms she knew within her Juyo training, but considering her technique was on par with Mace, it's fair to say she knew quite a lot. Vos, on the other hand, was far less versed in other forms, mostly using Ataru.
Bulq or Depa.
I mean if we want to get really simple with this. Mace considered Bulq skill below his own and put Depa above him.
Vos will almost certainly go for Bulq, and without Thome and Aayla to bail him out he dies. Then Depa beats Bulq
Bulq or Depa.
I'm still thinking this as well. Still undecided who gets is between the two.
Given the mitigating circumstances of Vos' fight with Bulq that people seem to have no knowledge of, and the two year transformation Vos went through after RotS, that again, I have never seen another user demonstrate any knowledge of, Vos could arguably take Bulq at his peak. As for Depa, aside from Mace's own opinion, I'm not sure she has a terrible amount to her name. Correct me if I'm wrong but there are a multitude of circumstances affecting both her and Mace during their fight, but most of which affected Mace.

You know something. I'm not so sure I'm confident in Depa any longer. One of her failings was that she could not control the darkness within her. As we've seen from Quinlan, he's been exposed to so much more fatal darknesses that I think his "spiritual" use of Vaapad would be superior. That still leaves his technical skill with a blade though ...

I don't think Vaapad is Vos' primary form. He only learnt parts. He's usually an Ataru/Shien user.
@i_like_swords: No disagreements there.
One thing I was impressed with about Depa in the Kanan miniseries was when she affected some mini bomb by keeping two kinds of liquid apart from each other, without being able to see the inside of it, while it was being thrown in the air at Kanan (it's not totally obvious from the art on this page, but a guy threw it, and she affected it while it's moving towards him). Some nice finesse. That's not necessarily here or there in a fight, but I wanted to throw it out there for anyone interested.
@SilentBat: Why don't you switch out Vos for Kuro in your Ahsoka matchup, and make this threeway battle a video of its own? That way we can have some diversity and not just Vos matchups?

I just wanna say that I find Mace's statement regarding Depa very dubious. It is explicitly based off her performance in Emissaries to Malastare, a bunch of years ago, both Mace and potentially Sora could have blazed past her in terms of vapaad skill in the meantime. (although I believe this is just the case for Mace) Furthermore Mace is clearly quite biased in favor of Depa and the fight in question was not even against humanoid opponents making it a bit unclear how well it translates into actual saber combat. Mace also did very well in his fight against Depa for having the odds massively stacked against him
