It doesn't work that way everytime. A strong dude who can bust through a city could have worse piercing durability. You can't scale everything relative to one another. Thor in the MCU hides from bullets and gets cuts and scrapes from being slammed into concrete, yet he is strong enough to destroy a playground level area. Comic book logic is different.
