@banthabot: How powerful is the average SMITE god? Looking at his feats I think that it would be a good fight though I'm leaning MCU Loki.. Does Smite Loki use his teleportation often? I would lean MCU Loki due to his great energy resistance which would contract Zeus's thunderbolt and his swords didn't have any feats other than cutting gods.
@kevd4wg: SMITE Thor is this powerful, and Odin states that with Zeus's Thunderbolt Loki is more powerful than Thor
from what i recall SMITE loki can easily tank Hou Yi raining down 9 Suns on him
Thats pretty basic Star Level+ durability.
Hou Yi shoots nine arrows into the sky, striking one sun with each arrow. The nine suns come crashing down one by one, slowing and dealing damage in a target area over time.
@ravensupreme: game mechanics. We are not using game mechanics
@kevd4wg: @banthabot:The Gods in SMITE are directly from their Lore. The way the story goes is that all these gods in their respective pantheon are fighting in a war. There are two side Order and Chaos. The reason the war exist is that they're fighting for worshippers to decide who is the top god.But in the process of all of this humanity was being destroyed. The average SMITE god is essentially the same one as the ones in the actual mythology(they try to keep it that way) so I see no reason the feats don't interchange.
@ravensupreme: game mechanics. We are not using game mechanics
its description of an ability from one of the gods, not a game mechanic.
if you take these away - what else is there aside from some cinematics?
@godren: maybe because in actual showings their feats are much weaker
@godren: maybe because in actual showings their feats are much weaker
No..the characters are directly from the lore the feats are interchangeable.SMITE has its own story but all these gods come from their respective lore and universe to fight.RavenSupreme is actually right about Hou Yi and his bow is capable of shooting stars out of the sky.The avatar Sol carries the sun across the sky.And Nox is an embodiment of the night sky.
@godren: all the gods are weakened because of too many gods and nit enough worshipers. Hel states that they are barely above mortals at this point. And Ao Kuang died to a skyscraper falling on him. If they were truelly the almighty gods a skyscraper wouldn't have killed him. As always you need to look for clues in the actual showing and not over blown speculation.
@ravensupreme: two things. First they are fiery birds in the sky that represent the suns, not actual stars.
Second I didn't deny that Hoi Yi can do it but Loki tanking it could only be shown by player influinced gameplay and not actual combat animation which makes it a game mechanic. Hoi Yi attack is not a game mechanic, random God standing in the attack during game play is

Interesting do u have a source? I think I heard this many years ago.

oh really? i thought they are literal suns. can you quote me where you got that piece of information? if thats correct, the entire thing falls flat of course
Hou Yi's lore page
Nocking arrow to bow, Hou Yi loosed a warning at the suns hoping to frighten them away, but they impassively remained. So Hou Yi drew again and fired a killing shot. Pierced, the sun exploded in color and a giant red raven with three legs fell to the earth, slain by the white arrow.Eight times more Hou Yi drew arrow to cheek. Eight shots more he let fly. Eight more bursts rent the sky, and eight more ravens fell dead.
@godren I do have sources... Here is Hel stating that the gods are weak and barely better than mortals now...
And here is Ao Kuang's death by building...

thanks but that says that his shot pierced the sun, causing the sun to explode, somehow and fall to the sky in the form of ravens? feels very confusing. im gonna check out the lore later
