Setup: Lois starts having nightmares about Freddy. She talks to Chloe about it and Chloe tells her that she'll do some digging. Chloe discovers the legend of the Nightmare on Elm Street and she learns Freddy Krueger's backstory. When she tries to contact Lois she finds her sleeping and can't wake her up. Chloe calls Clark and they get the "Project Intercept" machine from the episode Fracture. Clark uses it to enter Lois' mind. Can Superman save Lois or does he fall to the Springwood Slasher.

- This isn't the first time Smallville Superman has encountered dreams or telepathy.
- Season 3 Episode 4 "Slumber" - Clark saves his kryptonite infected neighbor from being trapped in a coma. She had dream powers and was manifesting a monster based on her abusive uncle.
- Season 6 Episode 12 "Labyrinth" - A Phantom attacks Clark and traps him in his mind making him believe that he's a patient in a mental hospital.
- Season 7 Episode 12 "Fracture" - Using a Luthor Corp machine Clark enters Lex's mind to find out where Kara and Lana are.
