Mard will have to go into Etherious Form just to keep up with SM Naruto speed + superior physicals. Then there’s Sasuke who can spam arrows or use fire to amp the sky to give his oppenent a Kirin

Genjutsu is the only way Naruto and Sasuke can win this. The question is if it'd open up enough time to land a rasenshuriken and if one would be enough or several need to hit

@rdcdesmond: What speed feats does the version of Naruto have that says mard would need to transform to keep up? Even Beginning of series happy has a mach 100 feat and Natsu was able to react and attack at that speed. And this is the same Mard geer that was casually parrying slashes from the CSK. How does Naruto's physicals compare to that? Also Amaterasu can't really be spammed like that cause it hurts him (he was in pain after only 2 uses). And It wasn't even able to melt the armor of that samurai at the time so I doubt it would actually be able to burn down the vines. Kirin is fodder to mard.

Btw just b4 anyone asks about the mach 100 feat. In the Eisenwald arc Happy and natsu were right outside of Oshibana station and had to chase after Erigor who was going to Clover town. In the manga they catch up within one page just as Erigor is about to reach Clover so it was pretty much instant. But Using the anime timeframe from the moment the rest lost track of them to the moment Natsu and happy catch up its 10 seconds. We know from Dimaria's statement that magnolia and Hargeon are 370 km apart so Oshibana and Clover would have a similar distance from each other. I'm too lazy to pixel scale and get the exact number so I'll just say it's 350 as they seem slightly closer together. That's 35 km per second or mach 102. Natsu is able to react and accurately attack a moving target at this speed. And this is as beginning of series as you can get. Mard Geer is WAY above this.

Just because it took one page doesn't mean it was instant. Some mangaka don't show the travel part. Naruto was lightning speed jn sage mode so he blitz stomps the disgustingly slow verse with highest tier being below Kurama.

His fastest jutsu was the rasenshuriken and that was at most mach 20(and that's only if you are very generous in your estimates of the crater.) This is also the very beginning of the series. Later on Ultear's time magic completely blitzes Natsu but he is then able to adapt to the speed and even outspeeds them during the fight. Same thing happens during the fight against Jellal. Yes Natsu was in DF at that time but Back then it was only a 2-3x boost and Tartaros natsu is WAY more than 2x as strong as he was in tower of heaven. There's also him casually dodging a point blank lightning blast from laxus in the fantasia arc so Your so called lightning speed pain arc Naruto Doesn't add up to much when Mard geer scales way beyond that (pain arc naruto isn't lightning speed tho.) Honestly if anyone's gonna be blitzing it's mard geer.

If SM Naruto was lightning speed, the Shinra Tensei 5 sec interval would not have been a thing in the Pain Arc.

cutting lightning is not lightning speed, lightning hits the ground in about .02 sec which is only 10x higher than average Human reactions/reflex speed, anyone with supersonic speed can easily react to lightning coming from the clouds.

Kakashi cutting a real lightning bolt is not a great feat i dont know why people keep wanking it, kakashi was also a Jonin at the time.

so many newbies thinking because one can react or hit lightning that makes them the same speed is kinda ridiculous if that were the case every tennis player would be moving at 200+Kmph.

@thevivas: Pain wasn't even moving a muscle, he was standing still waiting 5 secs for his Jutsu to recharge. During those 5 secs, Naruto was trying to reach him despite being in close range. Mach 290 character would have tagged Pain in millisecond.

On the argument of Naruto not having lightning speed due to the fight Pain is silly all the verses have inconsistency in speed, FT is also full of them. The characters depend on mechanical transport Natsu and the others dragon slayers vomiting with nausea while moving in slow vehicles is very consistent ...
