I've recently made a thread about Silver Surfer running the Gauntlet...Sinestro was the ninth opponent out of 11...Not even one person said that if the Surfer would pass round 7 (vs Fallen One) but he would not reach the final (vs Thanos). So I guess, the people have spoken. But it would be nice to see what people say here, since I don't think this battle has been done previously.

i gotta go with surfer ftw. how much power does fear really generate and how much damage would it effect on the surfer? after all he is a cosmic lvl energy manipulator here. you dont bring a car battery to a nuclear reactor and try to compare power outage

This is pretty tough, Sinestro is very proficient in using his ring but Surfer is proficient with his powers too, Sinestro might have a chance if he has his shields up and gets on Surfer from the get-go but if he can't be able to knock him out then Surfer will win after a while.

I'll take Surfer over any Lantern any day. Why? Well,
Surfer has better physicals than all Lanterns (save for some exceptions like Sodam Yat, and even that's debatable)
There is no way a Lantern is tagging Surfer
And finally, Surfer can just drain the ring, This is usually the argument that kills Lantern characters whenever they go up against other high level energy manipulators. As much as I love Sinestro, he's not taking this.
