I honestly don’t see what Deku has done to warrant him being equal to Shigaraki feat wise. Only thing in Deku’s favour is the faux 100% which Deku claims to be equal to All Might.
Do remember, Deku is making that claim, he has yet to back it up. And knowing his character, there is also a good possibility, Deku just made that up so AM wouldn’t worry about him.
Assuming Deku is actually on the level of AM with faux 100%, this battle may be tough but I still think Shigaraki would win without much trouble. Building Fa-Jin up for faux 100% takes time, it took the entire fight with Lady Nagant for it to happen, Shigaraki on the other hand is a that strong from the get go. On top of that, Shigaraki also has regen plus one shot hax with his decay.
I wanna see some solid AM tier feats from Deku before I start considering him current Shiragaki’s tier.
Shigaraki is literally confirmed to be far stronger than AFO.
He was recently also confirmed to be on par with Prime All Might.
This is without even mentioning his library of quirks, regen and decay.
Here is Aizawa implying that Shigaraki is far stronger than when he was incomplete. and also the fact that they had to remove all his quirks again and give him the worst stage possible for him just so Deku can stand a chance.
Same Incomplete Shigaraki from Jaku who Deku said this about him:
Yeah Deku does not stand a chance.
and btw, do not use movie feats because Deku got temporarily enhanced by the Cell activation quirk which boosts regen and gives a stronger body to allow Deku to go 100% Full Cowl.
While VH arc Deku only uses 45% Full Cowl.
And while he has Faux 100% too. it takes time to build energy for it and it was just shown to increase speed to the real 100% levels for now. not strength tho.
So yeah. Shigaraki neg diffs.
Shigaraki >~ Prime All Might >>> Non-Prime All Might = 100% Full Cowl Deku >> 45% Full Cowl Deku + 5 Quirks

I 100% agree with this but the very first stipulation makes this moot
And anyway, the scans from chapter 310 are referring to 75% Shigaraki so Shigaraki still wins if he starts fresh and did not reach his limit starting from chapter 283
@emperrorafo: Definitely not a decisive win and Current Deku kinda destroys that version of Shigaraki
Well Shigaraki is being passively nerfed and having to rely on body mutation and physical stats to overwhelm his opponents and Deku is obviously has superior stats in comparison to Shigaraki , Now if he was not being restricted then Deku would most likely turn him in to ashes imo, Shigaraki is stacked to a unprecedented degree hax wise and Deku would have to much things to worry about.
@dripnic: I would agree with you, if we had more feats, but the fact is that in both scenarios, Shigaraki was massively restricted. Both times, he fought (is fighting) with his base power that is already close/identical/superior to Prime All Might, while most of his powers (dozens of Quirks he can use to enhance himself) is blocked by erasure. Without that, Shiggy would be a much different kind of monster.
Since current Deku seems to be past Prime All Might in any aspect (since the last chapter), my money would definetely be on Deku against 75% Siggy but his diversity and decay would already be troublesome. And Current Shiggy is already quite a different powerhouse compared to his incomplete state.
From a narrative perspective, Deku HAS to be somewhat comparable to current Shiggy but he lacks the feats. I am sure we will get to see a fight between Deku and an unrestricted Shiggy at least for once (would be pointless to give a character so much power, just to let him fight the Hero with his power always blocked away) and I am pretty sure, while he will beat Shiggy just with help, we also do good on his own but that is hypotheical and remains to be seen.
So yeah... I would agree with you from a narrative perspective but it lacks the feats to justy that just yet.
After the recent chapter, current Deku absolutely smashes this version of Shiggy, though he still needs to be careful. He has the speed and strength to end the fight quickly but Shiggy arsenal is still worrying.
Shigaraki not only hasn't been able to use his quirks but he's been taking on multiple heroes. Pretending like they are coming into this battle at the same level of freshness is insane.
Deku has shown absolutely nothing that puts him over Shigaraki yet. Not even close imo. Since full quirks Shigaraki is defensively strong enough to outlast everything we've seen Deku show so far and will eventually tag Deku for decay.
