Wich has a more clever mind?
Wich would overpower the other if a story involved the 2?

He's a Jack wannabe??? wtf... Nobody really knows much about Jack. He could be brilliant or could be just a brute that got lucky and was never caught. But Hannibal's profile has been shown, we know who/what he is. He has shown the same mind reading logic that Holmes has... but with a difference, Holmes is a free man, educated, reads newspapers, talks to people, and all that helps to keep a mind clear and instructed; Hannibal managed to keep his logical abilities intact while in prison for years, away from the world. That takes a greater degree of control, most people would simply snap.

I think Lector. If this takes place in Holmes' time then Lector has the advantage of future knowledge, which would greatly aid him in commiting/covering crimes. If it takes place in Lectors time then Holmes would be too far out of his element to effectively deal with someone like Hannibal.

As far as who has the greater mind, that's really hard to judge and theres probably not more than a hairs width between them. With regards to who would overpower the other in a confrontation, Lector would win without a shadow of a doubt. He's stated to be pound for pound as strong as an ant, knows the locations of all the major arteries and is well practised in killing. Holmes on the other hand was always shown as a more cerebal character. Which against most criminals is enough, but against Lector he would need more of an edge.

It's a bit unfair to determine a mind's potencial by the simple numeric amount of feats you can throw in. Sure, Holmes has hundreds of books written on him, it's obvious you will find more stuff on him. But when you can write down every important detail about a girl you have never seen (including secrets), just by looking at her behind a glass, i would say that impresses the hell out of me...  Holmes needs to talk to people and feel them present to deduce stuff on them, but Lecter has some strange ability that seems to go beyond that.

I think that Hannibal is more ``clever``, but Holmes would catch him if that was the scenario.

Stalemate.

Both are genuises and great fighters despite his constitution. The only diference is the subject: Holmes deductive logic uses the facts and stuffs to knows everything he wants to know/ Lecter psycologic reading/manipulation uses the people to knows everything he wants to know.

But IMO, i choose Holmes.
