I think I'll stay out of this fight, because of spoilers. I've red the first two books, and seen all the movies so far. So you'll mention things I don't wanna know yet.

I'd say Harry then because the Elder Wand supposedly makes the owner the most powerful Wizard in existance.

I do not recall Harry Potter having protection on his soul.

Victory Method 1: Sheng Tsung sucks out Harry Potter's soul in the beginning of the fight.
Victory Method 2: Assuming Harry Potter has immunity to that sort of attack, Sheng Tsung opens the Soulnado.

Shang wins by the above methods.

Shang Tsung.  The Elder Wand only makes a difference if they're dueling wizard-style, which they're not.  Shang doesn't need a wand to access he formidable powers.  He'll eat Harry's soul effortlessly, and failing that, rip his head off with his bare hands.  Harry has absolutely zero fighting ability, and is in fact somewhat weaker and skinnier than an average kid his age.  Shang Tsung will devestate him.

Shang Tsung wins by sheer power, skill and ruthlessness; but Harry takes the cake by sheer will-power, heroism, courage, and alot of luck.

This i s how it would really look if they fought:

Shang Tsung:I challenged you to Mortal Kombat, I will kill you and take you soul

Harry: Bring it  ugly face!!!!!!!!!!

Shang Tsung: What the heck did you just call me? That it you are a dead man.......I mean  dead boy.

 Shang Tsung kick Harry's head off and burns the rest of his body.

Tsung can't really suck souls as a combat skill.  The souls are there just to give him their movesets.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

Harry only has to point his wand at him and say "Stupefy"

The fight is over.

harry wins, one killing curse and its over. plus he does have a spell that resists soul sucking since dementors do that in his universe.

@randumo24: Except no. Here are the following reasons.

1. There is noone in fiction more versed in soul magic than Shang Tsung. He's even eclipsed Shao Kahn in the old timeline.

2. Part of soul magic is the ability to read them. He'd know every single little thing there is to know about Potter before the battle even started. This includes known spells, strategy, weakness, how to counter and know everything he's going to do before he does it.

3. Avada Kadavrakills by way of soul attack. How many sould does Shang Tsung have? He naturally shields his own soul with enslaved ones. Potter can try this tactic over and over for months and never hit the right soul.

4. Potter has the most severe disadvantage of all: Wizards in his universe don't rely too heavily on physical violence and thus most (Harry included) never train for it.

5. Even without reading Harry's soul, there's nothing he can do that Shang Tsung hasn't seen AND dealt with before. These are childs tricks cpmpared to what he's done.

Shang Tsung wins this and honestly, he wins this fairly easily. Even Voldemort couldn't stand up to Shang, to be honest.

Shang Tsung. Though the idea that Shang Tsung is above Voldemort is pretty ridiculous
