There are so many variables with this one. I honestly think it could go any which way.

@warlordeternal: I understand there's a lot of factors, tbh I've been thinking and trying to create this for about a month or so. It's taken me a lot of time and energy to actually put this to work but this and my other one will prolly be my last sci fi threads for a few months at least cause no one seems to enjoy them as much

Do you have any idea which side might win slightly more than the other or the chances of them winning more than the other? Any epic fights that come to mind?

Gilad Pellaeon and RRTs....why?

Don't get me wrong Pellaeon is a beast, buuut...he's a Navy Officer, he's out of his element here. I'd recommend Janek Sunber, Freja Covell, Arndall Lott, Colonel Starck, Hurst Romodi, or quite frankly any other Ground Officer. A Navy Officer isn't gonna be much use here.

The RTTs....the IDTs would be better suited for transporting troops, the Empire didn't even use the RTTs.

Also yeah, there's a lot of variables here. Smaller based ones would get more traction.

@wolfrazer: I used Gilad, because even though he is a Navy Officer he is a grand commander. Meaning he has applied both ground forces and naval forces against the Vong, Veers and Vader are here to help with Ground while he does the overall scheming or planning. However if you'd like me to replace him with one of those characters list it and ill do so not tonight cause both these threads took about 8 hours or so back and forth changing editting troops trying to apply as much variety as I could and so on even changing out factions and such especially for the xenos

I used the RRTS because I found it in the Legends lore, so I just went with that. If its not in Legends then my bad, but thats why i picked them. IDTs are fliers are they not? There is no fliers in these battles

Smaller based ones don't, so in the end it doesnt matter. I've done plenty of super small ones with both sides not even breaking 10k and got one word answers, the good news is everyone has time to take the time to break them down. Like I said took me all day to form up both threads in order to post them. I'm not the best at balancing but I do try

@swa2point0: I mean sure, Gilad Pellaeon would have a wealth of knowledge, though I can't recall much in the way of him planning ground engagements, I'm mainly recalling Naval operations. Now granted, I'm sure he wouldn't be so far out as to not help here, but I'm just thinking more dedicated Ground Commanders. You don't have to change him out, if you don't want to though, I'm just offering more options.

Plus a few of them have served with Veers, so there would be that synergy going.

Also wait...RTT, are you meaning the Recon Troop Transport or the Republic Troop Transport?

If the former, then that's fine. If the latter then...yeah those were Republic use only. The Recon Troop Transports are fine.

@wolfrazer:

That's completely fine, I just the was smart enough to devise a plan as he has went up against Rebels, Imperial forces, and Vong forces. Hes the big picture kind of guy while Vader and Veers are the tacts. Thats the only reason why i picked him along side no one seems to pick people who are even slightly famous, but out of the list who would you like to see him replaced with? Its entirely fine because you're the SW expert here :)

I noticed when i read up, i was struggling to find commanders much cause the Wiki makes looking up people difficult to find as I had to remember and bounce from one page to another and so on, the ones u picked make me a little annoyed as I had spent some decent time reading up on others and such and finding these to be somewhat good. One of them i refuse to use though due to him "trying" to impress vader via failing, the last one and first one look most promising tbh

Former, Recon Troop Transport, the only Republic stuff I used was I think the AT-TP or something like that, but It did say the Empire used them at first then removed them later on, but I just used them to fill in the roll

@swa2point0: Ah well then yeah, ok I thought you were meaning the Republic RTTs....for some reason, so that's my bad. But yeah, the Recon Transports are fine.

If you mean Colonel Starck, yeeeaaahh....but I doubt that would be such a case here given the all the opposition, plus I'm sure he was curbed back into line. Still yeah, he was just a name I threw since he did serve with Veers, but yeah the other Officers are good too. There's more I'm sure and yeah, trying to find some good Officers on the Wookieepedia can be challenging.

I mean Pellaeon is fine if you're looking for a big picture fellow, admittedly I wasn't sure if you were using Pellaeon during his service during the Empire or at his much later service, if the latter then he would most definitely be an asset here.

The Officers I mentioned, apart from Starck(again just mainly threw him in there, serving under Veers wasn't something light) all have something good about them. I feel any of them would be good as far as strict Ground Officers. But again...Pellaeon is fine.

Honestly, I can't decide. I want to say UNSC and COG as much as it kills me cause I know the Terrans and Cerberus would rekt their stuff. However, the amount of forces given for the UNSC is pretty solid and the COG provide what the UNSC might lack in.

Honestly, I can't decide. I want to say UNSC and COG as much as it kills me cause I know the Terrans and Cerberus would rekt their stuff. However, the amount of forces given for the UNSC is pretty solid and the COG provide what the UNSC might lack in.

You think I gave the UNSC too much??

@swa2point0: I'm pretty much with MErulezall on this.

You think I gave the UNSC too much? Who do you think wins in the other thread? :)

No. everything is pretty even if I may say so myself.

Who do you think wins in the other thread? :)

I was unaware you created it already, my bad. I'll take a look.

@swa2point0: It's not so much of the force, but the area you gave them. They are in a good area. Others aren't in such an enclosed area and because of that they have a better chance of winning especially since sea and air isn't available to any of the following factions.

@swa2point0: I think it's a toss up between Imperial Guard/Earth Defence Force and Imperial Army and Cerberus.

@jwwprod: Interesting! Why do you think those two have the best shot at winning? :)

@swa2point0: They seemed to have the best armor of the much (More so to the Imperial Guard and Galactic Empire), the Brotherhood of Nod definitely gives them a run for their money but their allies the Brotherhood of Steel kind of fall short in the armor department (Their so called "Tank" is a Sherman Tank from WW2 which obviously doesn't stand a chance here. Even the Chimera Tank from Operation: Anchorage is more of an IFV rather than a full tank).

@jwwprod: That's fine, I was thinking the brotherhood holds down the infantry aspect while nod does the armor lifting aspect. That is what I was trying to set up for them :)
