Scenario: Madcap May Battle Royale
I am well aware of my tendency to not finish longer scenarios, so I pushed myself to make this one as simple, easy, and quick to play as possible while still being a ton of fun. Once the game actually begins it will only take about 14 days to complete and crown a winner, so I can promise I won’t bail on it and it won’t take up too much of your time. Scenario will officially begin in the first week of March, so no hurry.
How it Works:
This game is based loosely on Battle Royale games like PUBG and Fortnite. You will be airdropped into a chosen location simultaneously with all the other competitors. You will choose your location in secret and I will keep track of where you go in-game. You will drop in with nothing but Combat boots, BDU Style pants, a belt, socks, underwear, and a t-shirt (as well as objects you purchase in the perks section).You can loot buildings for gear that will be placed before the game. To do so PM me and request to search a building you are currently in the same square as, and I’ll tell you everything you find. This may include real firearms, ammo, melee weapons, med kits, and special items. There may also be care package drops in-game, which will be visible to all characters. All ammo will come in packs of 25. All firearms start out with one clip of 25 for ammo. Once an area has been raided gear will not re-populate. You will have 5 slots for gear, so you will have to drop older gear to pick up new gear after that. Gear you drop is gone forever. Items that require you to carry multiples, such as throwing knives or grenades occupy one slot. All firearms take up a slot per firearm. Characters may leave traps for other players. Trapped players will need to prove they could reasonably detect such traps once I inform them they have been trapped.
Note: Med Kits completely heal all current damage.
All players will be outfitted with implants that trigger a spider-sense like tingle when said player is near other players. When you come in contact with other players on the map (both inhabit the same square) I will alert all players involved and they can choose whether to engage. Standard characters will know there is someone within a mile of them, but will not know the direction or exact location of the danger. Characters with enhanced senses or tracking skills may know the location of their opponents if they can provide sufficient feats for their senses/tracking skills. However, opponents can counter this by providing stealth feats against beings with superhuman senses. If any involved player chooses to engage it will trigger a quick debate.
During the debate each player will get 2 posts, an Intro/Strategy Post and a Rebuttal/Conclusion post. Each post may be no longer than 1,500 original words. Being concise is an important talent. Posts will be PMed to me, and then posted at the same time so that no player has an advantage of seeing the other’s argument first. If the debate does not conclude within roughly 3 days I will make a decision based upon what has been posted thus-far in the debate. Once they are finished I will decide the victor, who will move on, while the loser will be eliminated. Battles may include more than 2 players. If this happens 500 words will be added for every additional 2 opponents, and players will be ranked in order of how strong their argument was (strongest to weakest). Strongest will move on unharmed, those in the middle will sustain injuries proportional to their rank, and weakest will be eliminated. When a battle is declared the location of those players is now open to public knowledge, but if they were not there when a battle started they cannot attack the survivor(s) until the previous debate is concluded. Ammo supplies will be taken into account. Victors may scavenge gear from their defeated opponents.
Every 3 days the playable area of the map will shrink and those still outside the playable area will die. You will be limited to moving 2 spaces per day. Players engaged in battles may make up their missed moves once the battle finishes. I will let you know at the beginning of the 3 days where the next safe zone will be.
Build Rules:
Will follow the general character building template, with some key differences. You will need to choose both a body type and class first. From there you will select a Body, Power, Skill Set, and Perks. Builds will be made in secrecy and PMed to me in order to avoid OOC knowledge. However, whatever you give away during battle is made public information.
Note: If you try to use characters and feats beyond the limits those feats will be invalidated and you may be punished depending upon severity.
Bodies:
Must be humanoid. Your body determines your physical attributes (Speed, Strength, Reflexes, Durability, Agility, Stamina, etc) as well as characteristics/physical mutations (general size, claws, tails, large ears, fur, wings) as well as your five normal senses (Sight, Smell, Hearing, Taste, Touch) Does not come with any type of implants (ex. Cybernetic Implants or Adamantium skeleton) Those count as powers. You must choose one body template type. Your character must fit all of the limits for that type.
Note: Non-sight senses are limited to 2 miles. Sight is limited to 10 miles unobstructed.
3 Different Types, all with different limits
Brute
(Brute is a little different, due to lack of characters who are strong, durable, and unable to bullet-time. You choose a character who cannot bullet-time (has no feats reacting to bullets or any other items that move at speed similar to bullets) and you get your strength and durability amped to Luke Cage levels.
- Speed/Reactions - Cannot Bullet-time
- Strength- Amped to Luke Cage Strength
- Durability- Amped to Luke Cage Durability
Jack
- Speed/Reactions - Bullet timer, but cannot move faster than bullet-timers can react.
- Strength - 10 Tons
- Durability - Spider-Man level blunt force durability, Mirakuru user piercing durability (resistant to small arms fire, but larger ammo can pierce)
Swift
- Speed/Reactions- Can move faster than bullet-timers can react, but must not surpass Spider-Man level speed.
- Strength - 3 Tons
- Durability - Building Level, can be pierced by bullets and normal blades.
Power:
This is one power, not a full set. Powers include any abilities, particularly superhuman ones, that are inherent to that character. Most people understand what a power is. Ex. Wolverine’s Healing Factor or Spider-Man’s Spider-Sense.
You may not use powers that include:
- Reality/Time/Electric/Magnetic/Matter/Soul/Weather/Probability Manipulation
- TP/TK/Psychic/Hypnotic/Mind Control Attacks
- Teleportation
- Cloning/Duplication
- Power Stealing/Copying
- Life Draining/Death Spores/Pheromones
- Internal Attacks (Ex. Bloodbending)
- Game Mechanic Based Powers
- Inventory/Bag of Holding abilities
- Coming back from Death
- Unavoidable attacks (If it is unavoidable given the highest limits of the game it is not allowed)
May use, but with limits:
- Energy Manipulation/Projection limited to house busting
- Healing Factor cannot heal destruction of brain or heart
- Pre-cog cannot surpass 616 Peter Parker Spider-Sense
- Intangibility (Can use 5 seconds, 55 Second cool down), cannot attack while intangible.
- Forcefields may not be larger than Cap’s shield.
- Illusions may only be hologram based
- Sensory Paralysis/Deprivation/Invisibility to senses is limited to 1 of the 5 senses
- Power Nullifying is limited to a 10 meter range
- TP is allowed simply to mind read (cannot be used to attack or control anyone in any way.
Skill Set:
A skill set consists of learned and trained abilities, skills, knowledge, tactical/strategic mind. Ex. Batman’s martial art skill, escape artistry, knowledge of human anatomy, tactical mind, etc. For this game you will get a base skill set in addition to individual skills determined by your class. Individual skills are separated out by skill type and do not come with any of the other skills a character may have. Ex. Batman’s stealth or Dick Grayson’s acrobatics.

Captain - Free Tactical Skill + 2 Additional Perks Points
Monk- Free Martial Arts Skill (All Unarmed, doesn't include move reading)
Warrior- Free Melee Weapon Skill (Non Sword)
Swordsman - Free Swordfighting Skill
Archer - Free Archery Skill and real world bow/arrows
Marksman - Free Marksman Skill
Druid - Free Non-Avatar Bending Ability (Limited to 5 tons, cannot directly effect opponents or gear) (No Flight, Old Woman Toph or Bloodbending)
Infiltrator - Free Stealth Skill + Free Acrobatics Skill
Scout- Free 1 Sense Upgrade + Free Tracking Skills
Savant- Free Move Reading Skill
Note: Bender powers may include lightning, but their lightning will be considered to move about the speed of a high velocity rifle. (Roughly 3,000 fps or 2,000 MPH)
