Uh... I know some Pokemon have pretty OP abilities but am I missing something about Gyrados?

Hulk smash. "Baseline" strength of Hulk is kind of a fallacy, he "Hulks out" in proportion to how strong he needs to be most of the time.

Base Hulk is not that strong and Gyarados when enraged can rampage and bust cities and mountains.

It is closer than most people think, plus, he can fly.
