Rock Lee is from the Chūnin Exams Preliminaries Arc while Sasuke is from the Chūnin Exams Finals Arc.

Unless Sasuke ends this face he was at no weights Lee, but he lacked Stamina. The real question is does Guy allow Lee to destroy Sauce?

@boltok100: Sasuke was already as fast as Lee with the weights off. And he has the sharingan as the bonus. He would've beat Gaara (if it wasn't for Orochi's invasion) who already KTFO'd Lee a month before the fight.

Nope. Guy himself compared Sasuke's base speed with Lee's while his weights were off:

Taking the sharingan into consideration I'm pretty sure he'd be faster, unless Lee starts out with the gates in which he'd probably only do round 2. Plus, he had a better performance against Gaara.

Also, Sasuke did this to Shukaku enhanced Gaara

Sasuke isn't exactly as fast as Lee, but he's at a level where he won't be getting blitzed like he was at the beginning of the series.

@god_vulcan: 1. Being as fast as base lee (only momentarily) does not mean his eyes can keep up with his unorthodox taijutsu. Guy himself states that Sasukes version is watered down compared to Lees.

2. Even with chidori boost Sasuke is only moving at lees full base speed in a straight line, he states this.

3. Sasuke doesn't have the stamina to maintain Lees speed for a full fight, again stated and even shown.

4. An injured Lee has destroyed every part 1 canon feat Sasuke has without cs2.

We cannot apply ABC logics in Naruto.

Gaara=/= Lee.

1. In character Lee starts with Weight which mean Sasuke will blitz him

2. Blood lusted Lee will pummel Sasuke into oblivion

But do you think Lee takes both rounds? Because the only one where he has a clear shot at winning is round 2 imo.

@god_vulcan: If he starts without weights he has a shot but he does still have to watch out for a chidori blitz. If he takes advantage of its charge time and opens gates Sasuke would have to rely on his fireballs AoE if he isn't pummeled by then.

Round 1: I think Sasuke becuse of his sharingan and more variety of jutsus and techniques. And I don't think an in character Lee would use the Gates against someone like this Sasuke TBH.

Round 2: Gate-d Lee wins with ease.

I don't see Sasuke tagging Lee with a chidori. For one it's wildly telegraphed. For another, Sasuke has to move in a mostly straight line while using it. He got Gaara because Gaara was a stationary target.

Personally, I think Lee has a solid shot at winning while in character if he doesn't show up to the fight with the weights on.

1. first of all sasuke was said to move at the speed of lee without weights thanks to chidori training

2. second teh reason why sasuke managa to hurt gaara was all beacuse of ninjutsu, lee speed in base was more than enough the reason he lost was because ninjutsu/sand armor

so is safe to say that Lee without weights vs sasuke sharingan= slightly sasuke because of his sharingan but once lee releases the gate he trashes sasuke into oblivion and because sasuke does not have the plot device sand armor he gets rekt.

@metaljimmor: The thing about that though is Sasuke should be able to change direction whilst still having its speed boost similar to kid Kakashis clone feat(however I believe it to be a sizable gap between the two) it could still very well be a threat to Lee but I think he has the common sense to avoid being touched by it.

Rock Lee in a giant curbstomp! Sasuke got completely fodderized by the Sound Four while Lee despite just getting out of the hospital from his injuries in his fight with Gaara during the Chunin Exams was able to hold his own against Kimimaro.

This is false, there is no evidence to substantiate the claim that Sasuke was as fast as Lee other then some off-hand statements made during his fight with Gaara. Sasuke got wrecked by Sakon while Lee just getting out of the hospital was able to hold his own against Kimimaro who effortlessly soloed the Sound Four by himself. This would indicate that their is a gap between their levels of speed.

Rock Lee 5 gates would be too much for Sasuke. He wouldn't be able to react, and unlike Gaara, he has no defensive measures against it.

Pretty sure Lee only did well against Kimi when he was using the Drunken Fist. Regular Lee got beaten pretty badly.

He got somewhat of an upper-hand with Drunken Fist since he moves very unorthodox, but before taking his medicine he was able to hold his own against Kimimaro who was able to effortlessly solo the Sound Four while Sasuke got wrecked by a single member easily.

@nick_hero22: You do realize that both the OP and the Title of the thread explicitly states Chunin Exam versions right? Why are you even bringing up the Sound 4? Excuse me for being blunt but can't you read?

What upgrades did Lee get during the Sasuke Revival Arc? Chunin Exam Rock Lee is the same Rock Lee that fought Kimimaro since his injuries and hospitalization would have prevented him from training. The Sound Four wrecked Sasuke while Rock Lee was able to hold his own against someone who is vastly superior to the Sound Four. This was brought up in response to the claim that Sasuke is as fast as Rock Lee, so the question is can you read because the context of these statements are obvious from my previous comments.

Furthermore, Kimimaro barely used his powers against Lee. The Jutsu he used before Gaara are multiple tiers above.

Regardless, Lee was able to hold his own against someone who EFFORTLESSLY beat the Sound Four while Sasuke got wrecked by Sakon which is just one member.

Lee fought kimimaro who hot up from his deathbed with will power,and had couldn't beat him. How does that scale to an healthy kimimaro who beat the sound 4? So part 1 Lee can take on Edo kimimaro from the 4th Shinobi war?

@del_torro: Kimi was never healthy, he was always sickly which is why Orochimaru couldn't use him. Even so Sasuke was having a hard time with KN0 and kimimaro just stomped an army of them.

Unless Kimi abuses his bones as a shield like he did after he realized he isn't beating lee without doing so..than yea part 1 Lee can easily hang with edo Kimimaro. This was all without gates I might add and Lee broke a superior shield in Gaaras sand which shattered his projectiles.

Kimimaro during that arc was still stronger than the Sound Four, and this is made evident based on the fact that Kimimaro was planning to kill the Sound Four after they turned over Sasuke to Orochimaru for making Orochimaru have to wait. It's irrelevant whether or not Lee could beat Kimimaro because the entire Sound Four couldn't beat him either, and Sakon who is just a single member easily wrecked Sasuke. Kimimaro can beat Part 1 Lee whether he was sick or healthy, that is irrelevant to my point.

I forgot about this too.......Kimimaro was slaughter stomping hundreds of KN0 while Sasuke was getting destroyed by just one until he awoken his third tomoe.

Sauce wins round 1 when Lee starts with weights on.

Lee wreck R2 when he goes straight to 3rd or 4th Gate.
