In a random encounter, Samurai Jack faces Dante in an abandoned metropolitan setting, thinking that he is working for Aku.

Winner by kill.

I think Dante has this.

Any advantages Jack has, Dante isn't far behind and every advantage Dante has is vastly superior to Jack's.

It would just depend on who would hit first. Either one making a hit on one another is enough to kill them both.

Explain? Jack has literally no way of harming Dante with a sword and Jack doesn't have enough strength to harm him with his fists.

While Jack has no healing factor and would get slaughtered by a hit from Dante who is massively Hypersonic+ and his high end feats are FTL.

Remember, Jack's sword specifically annihilates anything demonic, so healing factor wouldn't play a role here.

Jack's sword can hurt Aku it is designed by 3 Chef gods to kill evil/darkness and as a half demon Dante is extremely vulnerable to it if Jack can get ashot in he can win this unfortenately all weapons and powers include time manip so Jack loses here

While I disagree with parts of his assessment, I still agree with his conclusion.

Edit: Btw, what feats does Dante have that qualify as FTL? I can think of several Massively Hypersonic+ feats, but no FTL feats.

1). In one of the games he blocked a light attack from one of the bosses. I can't remember which, I think it was DMC1 or 2. As I said before it was a really high showing while most of his feats are around Hypersonic.

2). Blunt Damage doesn't effect Jack either, Jack showed 0 harm from being belly flopped on from building height by a 700 ton sumo.

3). How isn't it? Jack never showed the ability to survive being cut at all, while Dante's wounds heal before the blade even leaves the spot it cut. I mean in that one arrow scene, why didn't Jack just waltz through the arrows instead of blindfolding himself and dodging?

4). Dante does have better weaponry.

5). I don't really remember Dante's fighting skills while Jack is considered the greatest sword fighter in his universe.

6). I believe one of Dante's greatest strength feats was blocking that giant god staute things hand. Jack was able to lift that sumo wrestler off of him very slightly so he could get out from under him.

It wasn't actually designed to kill demons like you say, It was designed to kill evil. Dante wasn't evil or good while Aku was harmed by it because he was pure evil. Aku showed the ability to regenerate from it anyway. It wouldn't matter, even if we don't count Dante blocking the light attacks, Dante is still vastly superior to Jack in speed.

dante's durability will be too much for jack. all he needs is one fatal strike. and he can take multiple strikes to make that killing blow.

Dante's demon blood is his biggest weakness. If Dante tried to use Royal Guard on Jack's sword, the point of contact would be sliced off.

Why? Jack sword wasn't made for killing demons. It was made for killing evil, and Dante wasn't evil or good. It will harm Dante but just as a regular sword would.

Unless Jack replicates the Chemical X formula he doesn't have a chance.

Dante is like, utterly pure hearted by the end of DMC3. He's clearly good.

what? dante has taken swords in his chest twice now..one from DMC 3 and 4..as well as multiple demon scythes at the beginning of 3 and shrugged it off..and tanked trish impaling him with his own sword at the beginning of DMC 1 as well...

I'll give an example,

A Knife,Sword,Fire Poker,Sycthe,Pen are stabbing,slashing or cutting weapons. Too survive these, you would need a healing factor to heal from the wounds.

A Baseball Bat,Brass Knuckles,Fist,Shovel are all blunt weapons, They aren't meant to pierce your body. They do blunt or pulverizing damage to incapitate. To survive this all you need is durability.

If you get hit with a baseball bat and don't even flinch, You have high blunt durability.

If you get stabbed and don't even flinch, You have high cutting durability.

This guy gets it.

Jack's sword can still harm people who are morally ambiguous or have a good heart, without Jack knowing. A good example of this would be X9.

@mayan_fist: Dante can stand still and just let Jack cut him in half. He'll just regenerate instantly.

As far as my knowledge for both characters goes, Jack's best strength feat is lifting the boulder on his back so that he could learn to jump higher. Dante's best was stopping and moving Saviour's hand that was coming at him with full force.
