Everyone is saying Team Hulk would win but what about Sasuke's genjutsu?

@jasonhawke: You can take Genjutsus as 2 things... TP assault or Chakra Manipulation, in which both cases the Team can withstand it.

Hulk has high end TP resistance on his own and neither of them have chakra to manipulate. Hulk doesn't even have pressure points.

@ghostravage: Couldn't Sage Naruto access his Nine-Tails, no? He would have those bijuu blasts or whatever.

Also, since you said "resistance" and not "immunity" Im pretty sure Sasuke would wear them down anyways.

It's Sage Mode, not Nine-Tails. And Bijuu balls fall short to nukes.

He's not immune but only people like Xavier, Jean Grey and other high end telepaths can access his mind. Sasuke doesn't have a single feat to suggest he is on their tier of TP assaults.

Hulk even resisted being controlled by a character than had billions of minds under his control including mind-locking Dr. Strange (Who stalemates Moondragon who is a high end telepath as well).

Either one could easily solo..

He isn't. Xavier is the most powerful telepath on Earth, the guy controlled Phoenix Force Scott Summers, and he has problems just entering Hulk's mind. That being said, the angrier Hulk is, the harder is to enter his mind...

Yes its faster, yes its more versatile, but yet, they can't really hope to harm Hulk in the first place when Hulk just needs to put a thunderclap on the right place and it's over.

Genjutsu is not telepathy. You can't control someone's mind with it. They are merely illusions that vary in duration and punishment depending on the caster. Pretty sure Hulk is susceptible to illusions.

@odinsonnn: Genjutsu is Chakra manipulation. And one one has Chakra in Marvel... Not even Iron Fist nor Shang Chi who are the closest characters to have it.

Indeed it is. And indeed they don't.

Just had to clear that up (it's not TP).

I've made a Naruto vs third-party-verse thread before and I find it much more efficient to lay the rules such that genjutsu, and any other chakra-based technique, works just like in the Narutoverse. Either that or the battle should be implied that way (otherwise the Naruto characters are obsolete). Makes the debate 10x smoother.

@odinsonnn: If Genjutsu is going to work on comic characters that don't posses Chakra to being with, we should encase it in one of the doctrines that performs a similar if not equal action as Genjutsu, in this case, TP assaults and illusions have similar results as Genjutsu. Which is why i said it could be taken as 2 things. Chakra Manipulation in which is totally useless against most comic characters or TP manipulation, in which TP resistance comes to play.

That being said, Hulk would be immune to both since he doesn't have Chakra and has high end TP resistance while Genjutsu users don't posses the TP feats to compete with Hulk's TP resistance feats.

Amaterasu and a lil patience for the naruto team win.

Telepathy is invasion of one's mind. It is being able to establish a connection with the mental processes of another individual.

Genjutsu, on the other hand, is manipulation of the senses. It alters an opponents chakra to persuade their senses. This is why it causes illusions of sight (affecting what it is you see--the scale depends on the caster), audio (affecting what you believe you are hearing vs the sound that is actually existent), and even physical properties so much as to cause real, immense, physical pain. The illusions (their strength, duration, and effects) can vary widely which is why it is its own genre of technique. Telepathy is not the same thing.

While I am not arguing whether genjutsu will work, or how effective it would be, I need you to understand the difference between these two things.

@mypasswordis1234: Amaterasu is not affecting someone who takes Lava baths for fun and takes temperatures equal to the first layers of the sun without harm at all.

@odinsonnn: Im not saying it's TP, but if you want it to be applicable to people that doesn't have Chakra at all, it's understandable to be assumed as TP assaults.
