Ryu vs Baki

Ryu is participating in a martial arts tournament in Tokyo. However, the fights he was spectating were different than what he was used to. "So much blood is being spilled. Are they all crazy?" Ryu mumbled to himself. However, he senses someone watching him. "Hey, we're up next, get ready." The young man spoke. Ryu turned to face the young one, Baki. Both men locked eyes. Ryu is getting some weird feeling from Baki. It seemed...inhuman. "Tell me stranger... do you practice Shin Shin Kai Karate? You wear the same outfit as both Doppo and Katsumi." Baki asked. Ryu shook his head. "I don't know who those men are, but I practice Ansatsuken". "Never heard of it stranger, but since I'm going against you, I'll experience it first hand. Also, may I ask you why you fight?". "I fight to improve and build off of what I have. Every challenger I face offer me something that I can learn from. Win or lose." The announcer then calls both fighters to the middle of the ring. Ryu wishes good luck to Baki, and both assume fighting stances.

Ryu’s getting bodied he doesn’t have the speed, durability or skill to keep up with baki.

@leothegreatest: I cannot vouch for Speed or skill but Ryu definitely has the durability matter of fact he's been hit with things possibly far worse then Baki could endure even if that isn't the case they seem pretty equal durability wise from what I've seen

What feats are you referring to? I don't recall Ryu having any durability feat above Baki's.

That's not really out of Baki's league.

Baki fell 30 meters head first.

This completely messed up his internal organs and crushed his lungs.

Then he kept on fighting.

And even purposely fell the 90 feet again. Then proceeded to tank attacks from Pickle someone who would also beat Ryu and even tanked a punch that hit his vitals and sent him back up to the 90 foot ceiling.

Ryu can potentially win because of his Hadouken, otherwise, Baki is physically way superior, he's too fast, he has a better technique overall, he can assimilate far more physical pain too, he's supposed to be physically more powerful than Speck, a fighter who almost destroyed the Liberty Statue barehanded, while Hanayama could endure Speck's fists with no problem and again, current Baki is more powerful than Hanayama.

Baki's feats are more impressive.

Here he dodges a bullet from behind after it was already shot then proceeds to acrobatically dodge some more.

Then he went on to dodge three bullets simultaneously.

Baki's speed is even unfathomable to pickle.

Who's also easily evaded bullets after they we're fired.

@leothegreatest: Stop taking Pickle as a reference, he wasn't even trying, he was only playing with Baki, since he didn't recognize Baki as an individual with bad intentions, otherwise he would finish Baki very quickly, like it was the case with Jack, the only individuals which he took seriously so far, was Yujiro and Jack.

Baki wins. Has trouble with Hadouken as previously stated, but, otherwise, Ryu gets crushed here in every other category.

I’ve read all Baki series and its hard to say who would win, main reason being the Baki comics and Street fighter games, movies and comics are both inconsistent.

But to evaluate how strong Baki is we need the comic were he’s at his strongest which is Baki-dou

Baki has dodged bullets, punched at the speed of sound, learned nearly every fighting technique except a few since he’s father knows every martial art in existence or at least that’s what he’s stated, fell from a building, please any RELEVANT FEATS to the list

Ryu through out the video games s quite inconsistent but I’ll name various impressive feats with the first one being when Ryu has achieved effect control of the satsu no Hado he’s bulletproof and is impervious to bison in his newly engineered body form hurting him, he’s already faster then bullets with out the satsu no Hado keep in mind this is movie Ryu from the Street fighter IV movie

If we use the strongest game Ryu, then Ryu from Asuras wrath Ryu is the strongest Ryu were survived being uppercuted by Asura to the moon with Asura also going to the moon

And shortly after being punched to the moon was taken over by the satsu no Hado and preceded to punch Asura with enough force to push the ground down (I’d say tectonic late cause it was a large amount of land but I’m not sure if the moon has tectonic plates) and trading punches with Asura until both were tired

Movie Ryu would win but it would be a hard fight
