Was todoroki resistant to fire. Cause roy willing to win is a snap away

Roy should win. His fire counters ice and he should be able to nullify fire with oxygen control.

Gonna go with Roy. Too merciless, no hesitation.

Todorki's ice is too thick to be burned through in single shots and Roy has no room to evade in this setup.

Roy burns Shoto's eyes out.

Roy just snaps his fingers and Todoroki's done, I doubt he can react to Mustang's alchemy in time. Even if he can Roy's AoE is as good as Todoroki's.

Mustang can't burn Todoroki as he is immune to fire. His whole left side becomes coated in flames whenever he uses it. Shoto flash freezes. Roy would have to create an explosion from within his brain to defeat him but's not in-character

Todoroki has fire immunity so I'm not sure why people are claiming Mustang wins....

Depends on who attacks first in this scenario, and I do think Mustang is probably slightly faster. If Mustang is taking this seriously and is bloodlusted, nothing is stopping him from making explosions in Shoto's eyes.

A bloodlusted Roy can make explosions behind Tokoroki's eyes. He's done it before in the rare time he was bloodlusted.

Its weird to think, that a guy who can melt ice so quickly to make gas explode can be hurt by fire, specially when fire does envelop on his face. I imagine if that case does happen, Shoto may panic and engulf the whole area with ice.

@red_ruby_petal: He can be hurt by fire though right? He has a burn mark on his face.

@kingcrimson: I think that was the time his quirk was still being developed. Up to this point it makes absolutely no sense he would be hurt by fire, at least I think so.

Is it not also possible that he's just immune to his own fire though?

@kingcrimson: He has developed an immunity to fire in general. Not all Fire though (I think). I'm sure Endeavor's max level of fire could still hurt him. But that's just a guess though. That could just be a One Piece thing.

In character Roy won't use the only ability that would let him win this fight. They are both good guys and Todoroki is a teen. He won't blow up a teen's brain just to win a fight. Especially one that's not trying to kill him. His regular explosions won't do much to Todoroki. Also the Ice Glaciers would be too much for Roy to burn through. All Todoroki has to do is flash freeze him to win. Which he does in character. In an alley he'll be able to do that much easier.

@mee09: so if Bakugou hit him with an explosion, he’d suffer no burns or damage other than blunt force?

Todoroki can get a ice ridge out first, and Roy can counter it, but sooner or later, Todoroki will get a good enough opening to tag the not so nimble roy.

Plus Todoroki can use the final technique he used on Deku in the tournament.

Hmmm going with Roy, he most likely just blasts Todoroki's eyes away.
