On purpose and it's not like it dropped him he still killed everyone

Roland murders him. Roland is faster and better in every way minus strength.

I agree that V can't blitz and Roland would shoot down any daggers thrown at him but V can take gunfire no problem.

There both pretty damn hard to kill.

No bias here, I bet :P

I wish someone would've shot V in the head so we'd know if he could tank it or not.

Because if Roland doesn't drop V before he closes the gap he could be in some trouble trying to knife fight with revolvers.

Some movie feats to consider.

Roland falls from stories through a bus, and then thrown out of the moving bus window and onto the road. Right after this Roland fights Walter and Roland get slammed into the wall by a few hundred pound pipe, and then has couple hundred pounds of concrete collapse on top of his body. He still fights on.

Rolans is so refine in gun skill, he can impossibly reload his gun in rapid time.

Roland's skill and reaction time is so godly that he can accurately catch the 6 shells flying through the air perfectly in seated in the cylinders of the revolvers. Impossible in real life, but another day for Roland.

Roland deflects bullets from Randall Flagg with his gun. These are bullet speed as the bullet that hits Roland clearly blows a hole in his hand.

Roland outshoots a sniper in the middle of a dodging bullets and hand to hand fighting.

Roland is able to accurately ricochet bullets without missing.

Roland is so damn good, he simply closes his eyes, listens, and accurately head shots a foe dragging Jake behind him. Through all the obstacles, and at great distance.

Roland's best feat comes in the movie where Roland fires a bullet, and then ricochets another bullet to hit his fired bullet. Changing its trajectory last second to hit Randall Flagg who catches bullets.

Roland wrecks. That simple. Faster, and never misses. Even physics defying shots.

@sirfizzwhizz: Why do you seem to be ignoring the fact that V took well over 100+ bullets and still managed to blitz nine people?

A head shot "if it can instakill V" but that's unknown is the only way Roland would stomp.

@handyjayjr: V was wearing a huge piece of metal that helped protect him from the bullets, which we see him throwing off after the fight. Pretty sure he doesn't always have that on.

V also had thick body armor too. We see him take it off after getting shot to hell.

His sides, eyes, back of the head, arms, legs, and back are all venerable to bullets.

Roland isn't knife proof so the question is can V get close enough?
