Red Son Superman vs King Hyperion

The Superman from the alternate universe vs The Marvel Superman from a different universe who wins. This battle of characters who have amazing feats in their own universe but no other characters in that universe have feats so everybody denies their fighting ability.

Because of this, I would say a better matchup would be Kingdom Come superman, or maybe even SBP vs King Hyperion.

@micah: TBH I don't really "trust" anyone on the vine. I just appreciate it when someone does something competent around here in the battle forums.

Likewise, I have several people who's opinions I look more at if they have shown themselves to be competent and actually know what they are talking about on the forums, but really everyone's differentiating opinions mean one second they are on your side and the next against it. Which is great because the Vine benefits alot from this type of dynamic environment, but you get my point.

Neither are hugely impressive. I loved RS Superman but the people he took out were pretty featless.

See my point in making this thread is that people disregard these characters just because their opponents are featless, but why else would writers make characters like RS Superman beat a entire GL Corps and Wonder Woman with ease, or King Hyperion to be a world conqueror. I think they did it to make a statement about the characters power level in comparison to there 616 or Earth-1 counter parts. It would be impossible to say otherwise unless the alternate universe gets access to the mainstream universe which would be a very plot device kind of move.

And how do you plan to give feats to alternate universe character without sending him to a mainstream universe?
